Parking for City and Capitals in Infinity Kingdom

This guide will provide a visual aid to help lords park their castles around cities and capitals when preparing for sieges. Proper parking of castles around cities and capitals helps ensure the greatest number of members can participate. Additionally, proper formation of alliance members as they prepare to take a city and capital has the potential to drastically decrease the number of dead and wounded soldiers for lessor developed players, aid the alliance in achieving their goal of capturing the desired structure, and to gain rewards and boosts these capitals and cities have to offer the occupying alliance.

We have all seen the dreaded marker placed by leadership to move due to bad parking. I also know leaders, in younger servers, field many questions from lords regarding where they should place their castle for the next siege and why the strongest players are always asked to position themselves in the first row and the fairness behind this decision.

When parking around a castle, the first two rows are unable to use a protective barrier (shield). Lords are provided with this warning and as they prepare to locate will see a yellow box in the areas where shields can not be in effect.  

For a lord to be able to use a protection barrier, they must be fully parked in the third row away from the city or capital. This can be identified when the castle has a green highlighted box around the intended relocation site. 

Each city and capital is comprised of both walls and garrisons which must be defeated for an alliance to occupy the structure. 

By an alliance having their strongest players in the first and second row, they are able to send their troops to attack more frequently. This allows the alliance to claim the city or capital desired within the allotted time. Additionally, when an alliance positions their strongest players in these critical front row positions, the strong players assume the burden of greater troop losses and wounded soldiers. This affords smaller lords the opportunity to continue growing and develop.

Parking around a city is different than that around a capital. While you can park in a grid formation around a city as show in the parking map below: 

Parking around the capital needs to be done in a windmill formation within the following image:

In parking in this windmill formation, alliances are able to get more castles closer to the targeted city without leaving gaps.

I hope these visual references help lords and alliances alike in their quest to occupy cities and capitals.
