Summer 1457. A fearless group of Scarlet Faction soldiers had set out to defeat an unearthly force on the fringes of the All Out War battlefield. But not only they wanted to face this enemy, also warriors of the other factions joined. No, wrong, they didn't just join. They guided us and took the heaviest casualties so the rest of us could ambush dangers. We'd already defeated countless Wardens and a Dragon Warlord, but this was just the beginning. More calamity lay ahead, and we had to gather all our strength to advance further. But before I tell you what else happened in this ominous gorge, I would like to introduce you to our hero: Lord The Garden.
Tall as a mountain, still as a lake, deadly as the tears of Lys. Unlike Frost's other warriors, he was always introspective. He had already faced off against the Warlord in the first fight, allowing us to destroy the enemy from behind. But he expected neither thanks nor respect. He just wanted this to end so we could get back to the normal battlefield. Because there he was at home, man against man, in combat for glory and honor for his faction.

It was dark, it stank, the air was thick. Again and again we encountered guards who attacked us out of the darkness. Stronger, faster and more precise than before. Again and again they attacked us and the way was almost endless. Around a bend we saw light shining. We knew this wasn't the exit, just the next monster waiting for us. We waited. Step fearlessly Lord The Garden passed us with his particularly well-protected soldiers to attract everyone's attention. The monster shot at our hero with fire, lightning, arrows and bullets. Again and again his soldiers were sent back into battle by the surrounding healers and the rest of us ambushed. The battle was bloody, many soldiers fell. It felt like hours, but no one was willing to give up. And with the last bundled strength we give this opponent the deathblow. Nobody dared to cheer. We watched Lord The Garden. He looked grim and gave the signal to continue marching.
How long should this go on? Our medical supplies were running out and the provisions wouldn't last much longer either. We had already lost a large part of our soldiers. Would we ever get out of here? I saw those doubts in my people's eyes too, but giving up wasn't an option. Because even if we retreated now, the darkness out there would soon engulf us. And with us all we love. And so we moved on, more guardians, bigger and stronger, trying to stop us. But together we were strong. No matter how this would end, we had shown that a common enemy can unite even the greatest adversaries. And this was worth more than any victory on an ordinary battlefield.
Again we saw an eerie glow in the distance. This mix of red and purple, with spooky shadows. We stopped again and distributed the last provisions. The maesters would take another look at each soldier and ready them for battle. Then stood Lord The Garden to: "This is the end, one way or the other!"

And with these words he started moving again. Resolutely he faced the danger. We all followed on his heels. But when we say what awaited us, we hesitated:
There sat a dragon surrounded by rot and doom. Not an ordinary dragon like we know from Westeros. No, this one was 5x the size of the largest I've ever seen. And everything about him was just terrifying. His eyes glowed red and full of hate. His teeth protruded from his mouth like a yard long barrage and his breath was as hot as the forge fires at King's Landing.
It had to be this. The darkness that controlled everyone else. Our boss. Full of uncertainty, we threw ourselves into the fight. We had to climb over animal and human corpses to place our attacks. When I think back, my stomach turns with so much cruelty. But at that moment there was only one goal. The dragon had to be destroyed.

In the usual manner we attacked. But hardly had Lord The Garden reached the opponent, he rose into the air. Nevertheless, we were able to land a few good hits straight away. But then the dragon howled. The noise knocked us to the ground. We covered our ears, but that didn't help at all. Completely deaf, we got back on our feet. But what was that? Eerie rays of light were thrown onto the dragon from 3 corners. After all the darkness we were now not only deaf but also blinded. It took a moment for us to collect ourselves again. And then I saw him: Lord The Garden held the position bravely, drew all attacks upon itself. Surrounded by his healers who worked absolute miracles and kept him and his soldiers alive. I called my soldiers together, not knowing if they would hear me, and charged the monster. The lights seemed to give him extra powers and heal his wounds. So we had to be quick if we were going to finish this. More and more warriors got back on their feet and eight factions fought side by side against a common enemy. I lost all sense of time. I can't tell you if we fought for minutes, hours or even days. The monster kept recovering, but our hero stood his ground and neither of us let up. The dragon got weaker and weaker until eventually it fell down and lay motionless.
The lights went out. Was this the end? Did we make it? We looked at each other in disbelief. It was dead quiet. Then a rumble from the canyon. It sounded like water was rolling towards us. We panicked, everyone ran wild and tried to find a way out. But what came towards us was not water. it was light All the darkness was driven away and like a huge cloud of dust everything shot towards the dragon. With a huge bang and a bright flash of light, the carcass disappeared. All that was left was a normal stone canyon with the sun shining down and full of soldiers. Cheers broke out, we dropped our weapons, hugged each other. We ran out of wine to toast, but it didn't matter. We had conquered the darkness, together. Through all the wars, through all the competitions, we were able to fight side by side and save our homeland. Now it was time to go home. To our partners and children. Most of our helpers had already left, only Lord The Garden was still there. With unusual happiness and a big grin, he said to me: "You have half an hour to get behind your lines, after that I can't guarantee anything anymore." I replied: "See you on the battlefield" and did the same on the way home. I was glad that the warriors of Frost had rushed to our aid, but I also knew that this had no impact on the actual battle. And things didn't look good for us. But I'll tell you about that another time.
