♊He is the younger brother of the former Gemini Saint Aspros. The circumstance of his birth was seen as a bad omen, so he was forced to wear a mask and followed his brother around in silence, living as his shadow.

♊After killing Aspros who had become a renegade, Defteros chose a life of solitude on Kanon Island in order to empower and strengthen his will and body. He trained himself day and night so that he would be ready for battle one day.

♊When the Lost Canvas Holy War broke out, he provided guidance to Pegasus Tenma, allowing the latter to master the true essence of the 7th Sense. He also helped Libra Dohko obtain Athena's Cloth. When he found out that Sagittarius Sisyphus died in the war, Defteros put on his Gold Cloth and joined the battle.

♊In one of the Demonic Temples set up by Hades Alone to protect the Lost Canvas, Defteros reunited with his resurrected twin, Aspros, who became a Specter. They attacked each other with Gemini's ultimate move, Galaxy Explosion.

♊In the end, Defteros paid the ultimate price to awake Aspros' conscience and restore his righteous soul.
