A deeper look at the KvK Rewards!

Hey guys, with every KvK coming to an end soon, this article will look at the KvK Rewards.

We will look at everything obtainable, then in the following article, we will look at the KvK Shop!

Alliance Rewards

You can find all the following information in the Legion’s Handbook on the Legion of Frostborne page.

Here we will dissect and look at every part of the rewards and how to obtain them.

Towards Victory.

First and foremost, well you need to win KvK to get the most out of it!

To do so, your alliance needs to hold the Gnome King Capital(Ymir) for a whole day (24 hours)

If no alliance can hold it for a whole day, then the alliance holding the Capital at reset on the last day will win.

At the end of the KvK, the alliance occupying the dwarven capital and the citadel(s) will be rewarded with loot.

These are similar to the Contention of Relic Chests that the king can allocate to its alliance members.

Here, the Alliance leader(R6) will be giving these out.

Just like Valors during CoR.

The Alliance holding Ymir gets:

These chests have really good items inside, good reward!.

Each alliance will be able to decide how they select who gets them.

But holding Ymir will give you a total of 41 chests.

To give you an idea, here are the Gift of Warriors CoR chest (Top lvl)

So KvK rewards are better.

The Alliance holding a Citadel gets the same set of chests shown above.

However, the rewards inside are a cut below.

Here is an example;

The same amount of chests(41) but every single chest has a bit fewer rewards.

Cold Silver:

Holding Ymir at the end of KvK will also give everyone in the alliance a nice 1500 cold silver.

These can be used in the KvK shop (read my other article!)

Holding a Citadel at the end of KvK will also give everyone in the alliance a nice 1000 cold silver.

These can be used in the KvK shop (read my other article!)

Progression Reward

Cold silvers based on Faction Power.

Each alliance participating in KvK will be given an amount of Cold Silver based on their Alliance Faction Power;

The max amount is capped at 2700 Faction power, rewarding each member with a cool 6000 Cold Silver!

You may find your Alliance faction Power in the Ranking here(In LoF):

Make note of this here! This is how you can earn a whole lot of Cold Silver!!!

Holding Ymir at the end of the KvK will award you with a sweet 50% Cold Silver bonus.

These %bonus STACK.

So holding Ymir and a Citadel will give you a hard 75% Cold Silver increase!

Personal Rewards

Each player will receive a set of rewards containing Gems, Cold Silvers & speedups, based on their ranking.

CAREFUL! The Ranking is based on Legion’s Mark and not Honor (Honor is still the best way to earn Legion’s Mark though).

Also, Legion’s Mark DOES NOT EQUAL COLD SILVER!!! Don’t get fooled~

The top 3 gets a decent amount of rewards, the 4-10 gets an alright amount.

Everyone below gets a limited amount.

We will look at the KvK Shop in the following articles, but to give you an idea, 2500 Cold Silver is not even enough to max purchase the Philo Stone in the shop (need 300x10=3000).

It only gets you 2500/800 = 3 Ability stones :/

So here you have it, all the information about the KvK rewards.

To know what you will get depends on your KvK situation and server situation.

Your server first needs to be in a winning position to get the most out of it.

Then your alliance needs to control Ymir and/or Citadels.

Feedback & Much needed Improvement!

Before ending, I would like to provide you with my feedback on these KvK Rewards.

To me. They still seem lacking.

One would need a ton more Cold Silver to get far into purchasing what is important in the KvK Store.

But what gets to me is how these rewards are distributed.

Infinity Kingdom has been doing a questionable job at building a clear goal for the players, for the kingdom, for the server.

The goal of one Player might not be the end goal of its Alliance.

The goal of an Alliance might not be the end goal of its Kingdom.

The goal of a Kingdom might not be the end goal of the Server.

However, a server should be rewarded as a whole. KvK should not be treated the same as Contention of Relics.

It’s completely different yet the way KvK rewards are distributed are similar. based on an Alliance basis.

Sorry for renting here, but what I would love to see is this.

KvK Victory & Rewards.

Each Server can form an in-server Alliance.

This alliance will be regarded as ONE during the KvK.

These will allow for rogue alliances to do their thing or be left out.

But each server should be one server and not 3 kingdoms and X numbers of Alliance during KvK.

So the Alliance holding Ymir would win for its whole server.

The rewards would be awarded to everyone that participated in the KvK and is in the same original KvK Server-Alliance.

Much needed End KvK mechanics:

The Alliance holding Ymir at the end would then be able to select a KvK King. That person would then be able to allocate the chests to anyone in the same Server/Alliance.

Same with the Citadel, the alliance holding them would be able to name a Mayor, that player will allocate the chests from that Citadel.

As for the Cold Silver and the % bonus, it should be based on the Server/Alliance, not on an individual alliance base like currently.

KvK(Legion of Frostborn) is a Server-wide event that puts 8 different servers against one another.

It’s not an individual Alliance-based game mode, everything should follow that principle.

Not just one or two aspects here and there.
