CCS, challenging for the podium!

Time flew by as always, and with that, another edition of Champion City Siege came around for Meridianos and Vitoo, the incredibly strong duo of K157 and RoD. Armed up as much as they could, they were ready to challenge against anyone that dared to stay against them in the event. Their goal was simple but hard to reach: obtaining 2 out of the 3 spots on the podium, and the title of Champion Conqueror.

However, the difficulties of such a high task arrived before the opposition was even revealed, as in reality, neither of them prepared themselves for the event. They only had a shell alliance ready: SbG, and hopes and dreams to fill it with random warriors that would participate in the event.

Once they arrived onto the battlefield, their first obstacle showed itself, QKA, Dra99 and Minity, all of them were forces that could win against the Tempest Keep and on a good day, even hold the building if they had enough reinforcements. This meant one thing: the battle ahead was going to be a very fierce one. Meridianos knew that they would need a lot of fighters to join them and sacrifice their troops for the greater cause.

When he scanned the battlefield further, on the other side of the map was Ven, an alliance mixed with great warriors from many different alliances. It was yet again a side that could win against both Meridianos and Vitoo. This CCS proved to be really difficult, Immortal, the strongest of Ven, now joined the battlefield.

"If all of them are this strong, then only one approach is viable, speed. I have to be the first to capture the Tempest Keep, and give everyone else hope that everything is going to be alright." these were the only thoughts of Meridianos, who without missing a beat, hurried as much as he could in order to obtain the Tempest Keep.

And within seconds, he did exactly that. He was much faster than anyone, and the first ray of sunshine came for SbG. Now with the Tempest Keep under their grasp, all they needed to do was hold and reinforce.

It sounded simple on paper, but with such an opposition and not much planning ahead of the event, it was anything but easy. Wave after wave of rallies were hitting the Tempest Keep without any delay, synchronising each other, as if they were all cooperating. Meridianos' strength was the only thing in the way, as the reinforcements could barely keep up.

Every battle was very intense, but somehow, almost always Meridianos persevered, and when he did not, just a few reinforcements were left inside just to bail him out. He could not believe his luck, and after 25 gruesome minutes, it was time to attempt a swap for Vitoo.

3...2...1... This countdown would've been perfect to have, but there was not such luxury. Before Meridianos could execute the swap, his luck on having enough reinforcements had run out. There were not enough, too many warriors had stopped fighting after obtaining their rewards, and against synchronised rallies of Dra, HankHill, Minity and Immortal... the latter captured the Tempest Keep.

With the Tempest Keep captured, he did not want to let it go under any circumstances. Everyone in Ven was beyond amazed by the feat, and were giving it their all to keep Immortal inside, even if it meant having to duel against the very people that attacked Meridianos with him.

Both Meridianos and Vitoo were trying their best with solo attacks to obtain the building, but it was just a repeat of capturing the building and losing it to Immortal once more. It had become a sudden game of cat and mouse, where Immortal had 8 minutes piled up on the Tempest Keep, just enough to hold a podium spot.

But for Vitoo, this was a tragedy he was not going to let happen. He needed to obtain some time of his own, and pleaded everyone that remained in SbG to aid his attempts. Many times his prayers were not heard, with SbG members not reinforcing. But suddenly something clicked.

Right before the end, more members of K157 had woken up to the notifications of CCS having begun. And now, they were there to help with fresh troops. They were the fighters ready to give every single troop in their possession for the cause. Before he knew it, Vitoo had caught up to Immortal, and secured his own spot in the podium.

Having secured his own spot on the podium, the goal that Meridianos and Vitoo set up for this Champion City Siege event was fulfilled. It was a great surprise given the tense competition and lack of reinforcements, but a pleasant one nonetheless.

Meridianos looked to reflect on what happened, and he knew that without the much luck, they could not have done this. Today, luck was on their side, next time, they could not afford to repeat the same mistake of not preparing for the event throughly. They were going to get the proper reinforcements and face their next opponents with their heads held high, with the crown of Champion Conqueror on Meridianos' head.
