HOH vs FBB | Siege of Winterfell | Round 3 |

The victory obtained in the second round of Siege of Winterfell was like a blessing for HOH.

After an absolutely unforgettable start to the season with the defeat suffered at the hands of OBV, Neik and his companions, having lost many positions in the overall ranking, subsequently found themselves facing Av0 which, excluding Ganicus leading his companions, was certainly a faction of a level to be considered average.

Few were the days of break that followed where the group, despite having spent little energy to obtain the favorable result, had all the time to return to their best condition in view of a following round that on paper was supposed to be of a higher level against a more difficult rival than Av0.

The journey to reach the battlefield to play the halfway point of the season was short, where Neik, accompanied by his loyal companions from K345, could confront one another about who would be the possible rival of today.

But when they arrived at their destination, reuniting with their allies, looking at the horizon to discover who would stand between them and victory, they had an unexpected surprise…

The opposing faction was FBB. Led by fighters such as Loki the Fox, Gurbe and Pdhallen, the alliance arrived at today’s match with two positive results behind them at the beginning of their SoW season.

“Even though it is a modest rival, we must give 100% until we secure the victory.” This was the clear message from HOH’s leadership. Under no circumstances should they underestimate a rival, especially when a defeat at this point meant throwing the season into the trash, as it would have been irreparable. One faction was galvanized by positive results, against another that could not afford any more defeats if they wanted to secure one of the twelve available places for the Playoffs.

The battle was only moments away from beginning. The sun was minute after minute disappearing behind the hills, allowing the shadows to take over the battlefield, illuminated by the flames of the torches surrounding it. The leadership of the two factions were finalizing preparations with their members. If on one side it was clear that Neik and his companions were aware that they were starting as favorites, on the other side they had to be careful of a rival about whom they knew very little.

Start of the match

At the beginning of the battle between the two factions, HOH’s strategy was to divide themselves equally between the first two most important buildings: they wanted to make the opponents adapt and attempt to counter their armies, aware that on paper they were stronger.

Neik, during the march, instead decided to proceed together with some other members directly towards Stark Stronghold 2! Also with great confidence in his abilities, he wanted to make life easier for his companions during the capture of HotSprings, attempting to cut off the path of the rivals heading there thanks to the great speed of his Spears!

The battle that broke out inside the building was violent. Initially finding themselves outnumbered, the members of HOH did not have an easy battle against the rivals of FBB, who managed from the very beginning to surround them and put them in great difficulty.

The outcome of the clash seemed unexpected until reinforcements arrived from HotSprings once its capture had been completed: the armies of HOH swept away those of FBB from Stark Stronghold 2 within a few minutes, forcing the enemies to retreat!

It was a truly strong start put on display by HOH.

The capture of the two main buildings, Armory and HotSprings, was overall simple, also thanks to the strategy of pushing from the very first moments, catching the rivals heading towards them off guard, as they did not expect to be assaulted so quickly.

Expecting a counteroffensive from the rival, the armies of the alliance gathered near Stark Stronghold 2 and Stark Outpost 2, waiting for their opening so as to obtain the points of the first capture, crucial if they wanted to deal a blow to the morale of the rivals after the bad start to the match they had suffered.

The assault by FBB did not arrive in a completely unexpected manner. “Let’s push towards the rival base as one, they could be planning an ambush,” was the order given by HOH’s leadership, who suggested to their members not to separate from their companions during the battle so as not to be caught by surprise.

Push to the north

The push towards the enemy base saw Neik clash with a few rivals together with his group, which managed to overwhelm them thanks to their numerical superiority. Fighting side by side with his companions made everything easier.

Once they arrived at their destination, the imposing army of HOH almost completely surrounded the enemy base, pushing back behind its walls the members who attempted to reach the objectives on the battlefield.

After a first phase of combat, there was one alliance in a clear and decisive advantage over the other. Every building was under HOH’s control, from the South to near the rival base at the extreme North. The superiority of the alliance over the rival one was obvious.

The capture of the Winterfell Loot was a clear consequence of the dominance put into action on the battlefield. By surrounding the escape routes leading to it, which was located in the center of the map, they gave RhaenysTa, tasked with escorting the loot to safety in order to obtain the precious points for her faction, an easy life with no opponent able to hinder her path.

“The gap between the two alliances is really very wide,” commented Neik during his task of guarding the southern exit of the rival base. Few attempts were made by the rivals, but they were strongly repelled.

“Yeah, I don’t think they will be able to turn the course of the match around in any way,” Ferrious replied to his ally.

The realization for FBB that there was no contest today came well before the end of the sixty minutes of battle. This caused Loki the Fox and his companions to raise the white flag, accepting a defeat that was undoubtedly inevitable.

The winner at the end of the sixty minutes was therefore… HOH!

MVP’s

The best fighters of the match were Mandy IV and Loki the Fox for their respective alliances. The HOH fighter who earned the title was without a doubt an important addition to her alliance, which had obtained MVP after MVP in every match she had attended up until this day; her strength was without a doubt incredible. The member of FBB did everything in his power to keep up with a faction that was undoubtedly on another level, but this was not enough for him, as he had to settle for being the best of his own alliance.

“It was certainly a positive third round for us. Without spending a large amount of energy, we were able to climb several positions in the ranking, getting closer to the top 12 of the kingdom. We have three more matches to make it, see you in the fourth round, which will certainly be much more demanding!” was the message left by HOH’s leadership to their companions before everyone returned to their own kingdom.

A strangely satisfied Neik was the one returning towards K345. “It was exactly what we needed,” commented the fighter. Although he generally preferred to face high-level rivals, having managed to make up for the hard-fought defeat in the first round against OBV with the following two matches was certainly positive for them.

“The fourth round will certainly be on another level. We have to make sure we are at our best for it,” Ferrious added, revealing her own thoughts.

Half of the Siege of Winterfell season was now already behind them. With a record of one defeat and two victories, HOH’s army was looking for a place among the twelve best alliances in the kingdom, but to succeed in their goal they certainly could not afford to make any more mistakes.
