💠Overview

What’s up, folks? With Patch 2.9.3 bringing a solid buff to Lucasta’s most popular talent path and Chaos Immortals becoming more accessible, more players are starting to reconsider investing in the Holy Dragon. However, the removal of Sparks of Galaxy—previously the best source of Holy and Shadow Dragon Crystals—has shifted progression toward Rune Factory, which uses a different and often less favorable exchange rate. With a mix of new limitations and supplemental sources now in play, the real cost and timeline to upgrade Lucasta may be very different from what players expect.

💠Required Holy Crystals

After maxing the three base dragon skills, upgrading Lucasta’s full talent tree requires a substantial amount of Holy Dragon Crystals. There are 20 skill nodes that each cost 3,000 crystals for a total of 60,000, 8 large nodes that scale from 600 to 3,000 crystals totaling 9,000 each for 72,000, and 40 small nodes that cost 150, 300, and 450 crystals totaling 900 each for 36,000. Altogether, this brings the total to approximately 168,000 Holy Dragon Crystals, and this still does not include any additional costs from Dragon Portrait levels, which further increases the overall investment required. Maxing Lucasta’s Dragon Portrait will require an additional 128,796 shards. To completely max Lucasta, it will require 296,796 Holy Dragon Crystals.

💠Rune Factory Holy Crystals

Rune Factory is now the most cost-efficient way to obtain Holy Dragon Crystals, with every 100 crystals costing 20 Rune Insignias. With each Energy Core averaging about 1.84 insignias, it takes roughly 11 pulls to reach 100 crystals, and at 3 pulls per $1, the cost comes out to about $2.72 per 100 crystals. To reach 296,796 crystals, it would cost approximately $8,070. In terms of timeline, players can purchase 12 $1 packs per day for 3 days per week, giving 36 packs or 108 pulls weekly. At this rate, players earn about 982 crystals per week, meaning it would take roughly 302 weeks, or about 5.8 years, to reach 296,796 crystals using only these purchases.

Including the Gem pulls significantly improves the timeline without increasing monetary cost. Players can perform 108 paid pulls per week from $1 packs and an additional 60 pulls per week from free Gem packs, totaling 168 pulls weekly. While the game also gives players three Theia’s Roulette tickets per week, it’s negligible as 100 tickets only got me about 500 crystals.
