A new day has started. It was Thursday, the day when the red mine opens. I was still far from my kingdom, so I was lonely and had to fight for the mine by myself, just like last time. This time, the reward was Raymond’s weapon. However, I didn’t care which one it was because I needed both to upgrade them to 4 stars and get the 5k army size bonus.
I got ready to attack and checked who was inside the mine. I saw a very strong opponent who already had a big lead. It was a shared infantry player named JJiku. "Ah, I’m unlucky again. But I will try to take second place," I thought.
Since I play with spearmen, I had no chance against him. I had to wait for someone else to beat him or for him to leave the mine. As time went by, and because of a few game updates during the day, there were less than 8 hours left, and I hadn't spent a single second in the mine.
After the update, I immediately checked the mine again. I saw that JJiku was no longer there, and there were four other opponents. "This is my chance. No strong players!" I said. I quickly got my spearmen ready and attacked.

"I hope no one stronger comes back soon," I thought to myself. I also hoped there would be another update while I held the mine so I could stay inside. I had to stay for at least two hours to take second place, because one of my opponents was lucky enough to attack the mine before the update.
Time passed, there was no update, but there were no strong attacks either. I was slowly climbing toward second place. I was only a few minutes away when an attack happened. It was a strong spearman. I was stronger, but he had an NK with a 4-star weapon, and that made a big difference. He was losing much less troops than I was.

This cost me a lot of resources, and I didn't have many left since I wasn't in my own kingdom. But I was close to second place, and I had to hold on however I could.
Then, something unexpected happened. Right after I defended against his attack, another attack came a few seconds later from the player in first place. It was the same player who wanted to put this account into second place as well.

"This is going to be very hard now. I don't have enough support to fight him." I was so close to taking second place, but now even third place was going to be a problem. I could beat JuKi, but there was no way I could beat JjiKu. If only I had brought a teammate with me, it would have been easier, but like this, I had no chance.
I looked around the kingdom to see if anyone had a balloon drop so I could find resources to make troops, but there were none. I sent him a message and asked if he could let me pass the player in second place. He replied that he would let me, but only after he took second place himself. That sounded good to me. "Okay, third place isn't so bad either." I attacked the yellow mine and waited. I took his word for it, thinking there was still some honor left in this game. I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't get second place, but he told me again that he would give me a few minutes to take third.
Time passed, and JuKi took the second position. I expected him to contact me, but nothing happened. I thought maybe it was too early and didn't want to ask right away, but as time went by, I sent him some messages. However, he didn't reply. I didn't know if he was away or just didn't want to answer, but since it was getting late, I had to do something myself. Maybe he expected me to attack and left it like that, or maybe he was coming back later; I didn't know. I got my spearmen ready one more time and attacked. I managed to take the mine.

"I hope he won't be angry." As soon as I took third place, I put a few troops in and messaged him again to attack me.
However, still nothing. I didn't know what to do at that moment, if I passed him, he would think I tricked him, when I noticed an attack on me. I thought it was him, but it wasn't. It was a new opponent. Another strong spearman, but not stronger than me.

I couldn't just leave and let him stay in the mine. What if JuKi doesn't show up? Then the new opponent will pass us and take second place. I got my strongest spearmen ready and attacked him. "If JuKi isn't here, it's better if I keep second place." I was second for now, but I had no choice.
After a few minutes, more attacks followed. It was the same opponent again, but this time he didn't beat me.

I had the strongest troops in the mine. A few minutes later, it happened again. This was great for me because I was getting merits without losing many troops. I expected him to come back, so I refreshed my troops and put my strongest ones in again.
Then, something happened that I didn't expect. I had relaxed for a moment because I knew I could beat the opponent, so I wasn't checking the mine constantly. Suddenly, I noticed someone was attacking the mine, but I was still sitting in my castle. I immediately checked the reports and saw that I had four wins against Juki. I was confused for a second. I didn't know what to do first.

Should I check the reports, leave the mine, or send new troops? While I was standing there frozen, I was kicked out of the mine.

After five attacks, Juki finally beat me, but that wasn't the biggest problem, it was that he killed 230k of my T5 spearmen. I was angry at him because I thought we had a good connection and maybe the start of a new friendship, but he tricked me. He wanted to destroy all my troops to get as many merits as possible.
I thought maybe he was mad because I passed him, but he saw the messages and still had enough hours left to change things. However, he chose the worst option for me. I didn't know what to do. KvK and GB were just around the corner, and I had destroyed almost all my troops. Were the fragments for Raymond’s weapon really worth losing everything?
I had to get ready for the important battles as soon as possible. I sent him messages asking why he did that and why he killed all my troops, but I got no answers. Third place in the mine isn't bad, but not at this price.

The next day, I changed servers to get resources and make new troops for the GB and KvK battles coming in two days.
The question was where to play. On the server where my farm was, the opponents were too strong, so I decided to go back to K215 and hide on the server. When KvK started, I immediately checked who our opponents were. I couldn't believe it. It was the same opponent from the mine, Jjiku. "I'm so unlucky. I should have stayed on the other server," I thought to myself. I knew how strong he was, and since I was alone, I could only collect resources.
Their server had a big lead over mine, and Jjiku and Juki were easily in the top two spots. Since I didn't want to just collect resources all day, I sent my alt account to scout the castles. I hoped to find someone inside and get some merits. That is when I noticed that Jjiku and Juki were holding five castles, thinking they were untouchable.
The old warrior spite woke up inside me. I analyzed the situation carefully and realized I could attack two of them because they had no synergy and no lord in the castle. The only problem was that they had almost 5 million troops each. It was a very risky move, but I saw a chance to get revenge for the mines. I prepared my strongest troops. This had to be very fast. He couldn't notice me at all; this was my chance, and I wasn't going to miss it. I will attack Highgarden first. Three times more opponents, but I was stronger.
The attack was lightning fast, and I pulled my troops back and escaped just as quickly. I was shaking with excitement, but I thought I had made it. Only when I was safe did I look at the report, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I destroyed almost all the troops and got 10m merits, including 1.5m T5.

I saw the rest of the troops retreating to his base and realized he wasn't online. I was so happy that I beat him and paid him back, not just twice as much, but many times over.
But there was still one castle left. I had to be just as fast as last time and not ruin what I had already done. This time the castle was Storm’s End. I teleported near the castle and attacked. As soon as I saw that I won, I pulled my troops back and ran away once more. This time, the result was even better. Over 12m merits and over 2.5m T5 destroyed.

I couldn't believe what I had done. I looked at the reports with a smile I couldn't hide. I managed to destroy the troops of such a strong opponent.
The other teammates saw the reports and congratulated me with excitement, and I was still in shock. Fate played a trick on us this time. Only a few days ago, I was furious for losing 230k T5 because of the mine, and this time I destroyed over 4m of his T5. I got a second chance to fight them, and I used it in the best possible way.
It was a bit of a crazy move to make against such a strong opponent. Most people would have kept collecting resources and stayed under a bubble, but I am not one of them. For me, fighting is the whole point.
JJiku and Juki underestimated this server. They were sure no one could beat them and wanted to collect as many points as possible, but they didn't count on someone waiting for the right chance to attack. This time, that person was me. I expected a message, but none came. After a few hours, they sent troops to those two castles again, but this time they were stronger and had infantry commanders.
I was still stronger, but I didn't want to risk it because they might have been waiting for me this time. I was happy with what I achieved in those two attacks. I was glad I made the right choice to come back to K215 for KvK. Now it is their turn to get revenge, but we don't know if we will meet again in the Mine, KvK, or some other event.
