What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The final week of the IBL qualification phase concluded with significant shifts at the top of the standings, as most leading alliances had already completed all eight required matches before the weekend. With only one or two top teams still needing to play, the majority queued for regular Illusion Battlefield, leaving final placements largely settled heading into the next stage. The top 64 alliances will be slotted into eight groups with two teams from each group advancing to the final 16.

Server 231’s IMPK stole first place in the final week with an 8-0 record.
Server 38’s AoW slid to second place with a perfect 8-0 record.
Server 73’s ARC moved up to third, ending with a 7-1 record.
Server M014’s VT snuck into fourth place with a 7-1 record.
Server 277’s WIB made its way into fifth with a 7-1 record.
Server 16’s NG+ dropped from fourth to sixth in the final week with a 7-1 record.
Server 414’s CBW dropped from fifth to seventh with a 7-1 record.
Server 344’s HOT rounded out the top eight with a 7-1 record.

💠Rune Factory

Rune Factory is a weekly, three-day event running Sunday through Tuesday that replaces Sparks of Galaxy and revolves around using Energy Cores to earn Rune Insignias, a new shop currency exchanged for rare rewards. Players spend Energy Cores to roll for items while filling an energy meter that guarantees 70 Rune Insignias at 101 rolls, though any insignia drop resets the meter, making the pity largely irrelevant in practice. Patch 2.9.2 improved the event by increasing insignia drops per roll, adding daily free Energy Cores, reintroducing Gem packs, and slightly lowering the overall cost, reducing the average rolls needed to reach 70 insignias from about 81 to 53–54. Overall, the revamp makes Rune Factory more accessible, cheaper to participate in, and functionally similar to Sparks of Galaxy while offering better value for both free-to-play and lower-spending players.

💠Fifth Anniversary Event

The Fifth Anniversary Event runs for 10 days starting February 9 and largely follows the structure of previous monthly events, with several notable additions. The highlight is the new Fruit Frenzy mode, a 2048-style merging minigame where players spend Fish Tokens to combine fruits and earn Delicious Cream, which is then used to craft cakes with a partner. The Grail Shop has been updated to add Great Tengu and significantly reduce Chaos Immortal prices, with Fu Fei at 450 Grails, most other Chaos Immortals at 750 Grails, and Tengu at 845 Grails. The event also introduces a new Battle Pass skin and includes a special GTArcade anniversary event, accessible in-game, that revisits player milestones, rewards mission completion, and features a platformer minigame where collecting feathers grants additional prizes.
