💠Illusion Battlefield League
The penultimate week of the IBL qualification phase concluded with a major shift in the top-8 standings, as most alliances have now completed all eight of their qualification matches. Some of the most notable matches this week include the following:
- Server 73’s ARC defeated Server 136’s AWG handily.
- Server 438’s DR beat Server 340’s SV as SV went on a four-game loss streak.
- Server 275’s TNG beat Server 344’s Fxxk.
- Server 16’s NG+ defeated Server M014’s VT, an alliance that went undefeated in six games before this weekend.
Alliances currently in the top 8 hold no more than one loss, effectively locking in their playoff positioning barring tiebreakers. With only one week remaining, alliances that have already finished their matches are expected to queue for standard Illusion Battlefield while waiting for the IBL playoffs to begin, leaving the final standings largely settled.
- Server 38’s AoW retained first place with a perfect 8-0 record.
- Server 231’s IMPK moved to second with a 7-0 record and one game to play.
- Server 73’s ARC made their way back to third, ending with a 7-1 record.
- Server 16’s NG+ cracked the top eight in fourth with a 7-1 record.
- Server 414’s CBW kept their fifth spot with a 7-1 record.
- Server 344’s HOT retained their sixth spot with a 7-1 record.
- Server 38’s Ascendants of Asgard slotted into seventh with a 7-1 record.
- Server M014’s RiP dropped to eighth with a 6-1 record after a loss this weekend.

💠Legion of Frostborne
The second Legion of Frostborne Legendary Season is now underway, introducing notable changes to roles and role-specific quests, along with smaller adjustments such as updated Faction Reputation requirements to enter Zone 2. With alliances treated as independent servers for matchmaking and brackets, even within the same home server, the season has produced more varied and interesting matchups across the competition. Unfortunately, this is still a point of contention that a lot of the community dislike. Players enjoy playing in the same bracket if they’re in the same server, regardless of their alliance.
- Server 16’s NG+ is in a bracket with Server 73’s ARC. ARC should be able to win this matchup relatively easily.
- Server 37’s AoW will face off against Server 136’s SKY. AoW should dominate the field as most of SKY’s strongest players moved its sister alliance, AWG.
- Server 56’s HMB matched against Server 209’s HK, but they will hold hands to a peaceful season.
- Server 136’s AWG will face off against Server 231’s IMPK in one of the most exciting matchups between two of the top servers.

💠Patch 2.9.2 Notes
The newest patch will be available on Thursday, February 5. This update brings a new Chaos Immortal, event optimizations, and several balance adjustments. Great Tengu enters as a Defense-position Shieldman focused on absorbing damage, cleansing debuffs, and enabling frontline counterattacks, acting as a hybrid tank–support, though his effectiveness may be limited in debuff-heavy metas. Throne of the Supreme now allows 256 players to advance from the first phase, benefiting lower-tier players, but tighter group-stage progression favors only the strongest competitors. Quality-of-life changes add five free, bankable Zuma Tower tickets per round and new Rune Factory Gem bundles, easing costs for lower spenders. Balance-wise, HP increases for Tier 6–8 Archers and all Tier 9 troops slightly lengthen fights, while Holy Dragon’s Divine Protection receives a small buff, primarily impacting top-end players. Patch 2.9.2 will mostly bring optimizations that the community have been largely asking for and addresses some of the issues with the new events.

💠Summary
The IBL standings look significantly different after eight weeks as several top-rated teams skipped this week to play regular IB. Wisdom Well underwent a revamp and most players are liking the new look. Double Gnome event is a fantastic way for players to get extra socket gems and enchant stones.
