💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? Welcome to my article where I will be taking a closer look at the newly revamped Expedition Battle Pass that was released in Patch 2.8.9 with the new Legendary Season, what it entails, the new rewards, and whether it is worth it for you to purchase.

💠Table of Contents

  • Tasks
  • Rewards
  • Value
  • Summary

💠Tasks

The revamped Expedition Battle Pass, updated alongside the C60 patch and Legendary Season of KvK, still keeps its core structure intact. Players progress through 30 levels by completing 26 Personal Legion Achievements, each worth 150 EXP for a total pool of 3,900 EXP. Since only 2,900 EXP is needed to max the pass, you can skip six tasks without losing out on rewards. The missions themselves cover a wide range of activities, from PvE objectives like hitting city walls and garrisons to PvP-focused tasks involving honor gains and zeroing opponents within specific time windows.

💠Rewards

The new Expedition Battle Pass shifts its reward structure but keeps the value high. Previously, every level granted Random Holy/Shadow Immortal shards and the full pass awarded 60 Skill Selection Chests. In the revamped version, the immortal shards have been replaced with Advanced Contract Gold, with the free tier granting 150 Advanced Contract Gold total, while the premium tier, priced at $49.99, delivers the full 2,300 Advanced Contract Gold, alongside 6,500 Gems and 60 Random Holy/Shadow Immortal Shards.

Advanced Contract Gold is the real highlight here. It can be spent in the Contract Shop for one week after KvK concludes, letting players buy some of the newest and most impactful upgrades. Growl, the latest Legion ability, costs 2,000 Contract Gold, while Shadow & Light Artifact Selection Chests cost 500, and both Elemental and Season Exclusive Artifact Selection Chests cost 300 each.

💠Value

When you look at the value of this Battle Pass compared to other ways of obtaining high-impact skills, it’s honestly not even close. The star of the pass is Growl, a brand-new ability that reduces your Immortal’s initial Energy by 100 while boosting their Physical Damage by a massive 50%. This makes it perfect for Physical burst carries like Genghis Khan, as well as Immortals who don’t rely on Energy at all, such as Hannibal or Alexander. Most importantly, the Battle Pass is currently the only way to get Growl, making it an exclusive power spike.

When you compare that to other premium skills, especially those locked behind Recharge Gifts, which cost $120, the $49.99 Battle Pass is a bargain. The only Recharge Gift abilities that come close in value are Blood Frenzy and Time to Shine, but even then, Growl stands out. Blood Frenzy’s activation condition is harder to meet in real battles, and Time to Shine offers at most a 30% damage increase, far below Growl’s 50% boost. When you factor in the extra Contract Gold, Gems, and Artifact Selection Chests the pass provides, it becomes one of the highest-value purchases in the entire game for players looking to strengthen their physical-focused marches.

💠Summary

The revamped Expedition Battle Pass lets you finish all 30 levels easily and offers strong rewards: 150 Contract Gold for free players and 2,300 Contract Gold, 6,500 Gems, and 60 shards for premium buyers. You can use the Contract Gold on high-value items like Growl, which is exclusive to the pass and far cheaper than similar $120 Recharge Gift abilities—making this one of the best-value purchases in the game.
