What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Medusa

Medusa launches as a backline carry with a loaded kit: her ultimate’s passive pings 600% physical damage to all enemies every six seconds, and targets with Mark of Revenge take 30% extra damage. The active cleanses herself, then has a 70% chance to stun for three seconds; enemies that resist get Mark of Revenge for three seconds instead. Her standout Energy Regeneration is 116.6 at base, second only to Hippolyta, so with Energy Mastery or Corrosive Power she cycles cleanses and ults extremely often. Because she self-cleanses so reliably, she may not even need Fighting Master or Fu Fei, freeing up skill slots and pairings for more damage. Net result: Medusa is plug-and-play strong, bringing constant AoE pressure, frequent self-purge, and flexible team building.

💠Serpent’s Gaze Awakens

Serpent’s Gaze Awakens is a ten-day Medusa-themed event running from Friday, November 14 to Sunday, November 23, replacing the usual November event. It features the Corridor of Ghostflame and Mt. Paradise castle skins in the Battle Pass, and overhauls monthly rewards by swapping the traditional featured castle skin grand prize in Dazzling Wish for 1,000 Eternal Grails. Players can also roll 5, 50, 100, and 500 Eternal Grails instead of Chaos Selection Chests and Random Chaos Fragment Shards, with similar odds. Eternal Grails are spent in the Grail Shop on Medusa, Anubis, Fu Fei, Poseidon, Nine Tails, Wukong, Loki, and Athena shards plus their exclusive artifacts, as well as smaller items like Stellar Core Crystals and Forging Stone Chests, though Ares and Apollo are notably absent. Since there is no expiration date on the Eternal Grails, you can save it for future events if they use the same currency.

💠Theia’s Roulette

Patch 2.8.9 revamped Theia’s Roulette by cutting the Holy and Shadow Dragon Crystals in its two crystal slots from 100 down to 5, while adding more immortal shard slots, with five spots giving 1 shard and one spot giving 10. Even with these tweaks, Theia’s Roulette remains a poor source of immortals or Dragon Crystals, especially compared to Sparks of Galaxy, which can also be bought directly with Gems at a better rate (five Frosty Orbs for 1,000 Gems versus one Roulette ticket for 1,000 Gems). The occasional 100-crystal hit was the only real upside of the old version, and with that gone, there is now very little reason to engage with this event.

Medusa finally shows her face and stats, accompanied by a ten-day event where you can obtain her in the Grail Shop. Theia's Roulette also received a makeover in this patch.
