Honor Arena – Round 8

Once again, it's time for the Arena of Honor. As previously mentioned¹, this lord who writes to you is fighting to reach the top 100—and, consequently, for the coronation as King of Glory.
Before this round began, the great AGAMENNON had 295 points and was already within the top 100. After yet another bloody battle, will he manage to stay there?
As stated in a previous chapter, the most important aspect of this event is teamwork. So before starting, make sure you are properly aligned with your team. Strategy and coordination are essential for success.

After positioning yourself on the battlefield, the first step should be a careful analysis of the opposing teams, followed by a decision on what strategy to use. As always in the Arena of Glory, 8 teams face each other, divided on the map, each carrying its own banner.
The time allowed for initial analysis is short, but enough to get a sense of what’s to come—and as usual, it’s clear it won’t be easy.

We noticed the presence of several strong players, including multiple T5s. However, it seemed these players weren’t grouped in cohesive teams but rather placed in random ones. Because of this, we decided to stick to our original strategy: setting up camps to dominate towers, dragons, and catapults.
Building trading posts can give the impression of an early lead to opponents, but if no one is fighting for the central structures (watchtowers, dragon pits, and catapults), it becomes clear that in the end, the points from these central objectives far outweigh those from the trading posts.

As observed, all opponents opted to build trading posts, probably aiming to secure some points. This confirmed we had a chance—even against T5 players—because by controlling the central structures, we could earn far more points than those who focused on trading posts.
When the altars opened, I went to secure ours. But then, the first strong enemy showed up—with his T5 spearmen—and I was easily removed. Given their strength, I realized this wouldn’t be an easy match for my cavalry.

After that, the fight for the altars raged on for a long time. We needed to secure as many as possible, since we weren’t sure we’d be able to hold the City of Glory. Those powerful players would surely try to remove us.
There are many altars, and despite the presence of strong spearmen among the enemies, I managed to win many battles to capture and defend our altars.

Due to a slip-up, we managed to take the Greyjoy house castle, and we started capturing their trading posts, aiming to steal their points and widen our lead. However, after several attacks, they retook their castle with a rally—but there was still time to fight for it again.

Meanwhile, the protection on the City of Glory dropped. It was time to defend our top position. It was a bloody battle. Our ally Bonnes led most of the rallies, as an infantry player—our strongest opponents were spearmen—so that helped us balance the fights and gain an edge.
After the first conquest, the enemies kept trying to take the city, but since their strongest players were spearmen, our infantry defense remained solid.

Then, after countless attacks and defenses, we finally managed to dominate the City of Glory. From there, we just had to hold our ground, and victory would be ours.

Still, there was one more chance to score big. We once again took the Greyjoy house castle. This time, we successfully defended it against several rallies, and we finished the match holding both the City of Glory and the Greyjoy castle.
On top of that, we completely dominated the center of the map—watchtowers, catapults, and dragon pits.
With all those structures and a great number of altars under our control, we reached an incredible 200,000 pointsdouble the second place, who had only 100,000.

Once again, it was proven: teamwork beats individual brute strength. Even with several stronger players on the battlefield, we won and added another 42 points to the ranking.
More than half the season is over, but there's still time to rethink your strategies and build a solid team to reach higher positions in the rankings.
And so, at the end of another round, our team remains in the top 100 of the event, with all of us reigning as Kings of Glory.
Now we wait, calmly, for the next fight in Round 9.
Good game, and greetings from the Kings of Glory :)))
