A new season of Siege of Winterfell was right around the corner for Ashun, and he was very excited for it, as it was not only going to be a new adventure facing against a rival alliance, this time he was fighting alongside a lot of new comrades. His previous alliance BaN, had come to a split, members parting ways and searching for alternatives to conquer events in Westeros have now sent Ashun and his friends in a completely new adventure for this season.

Together with GCM, an alliance with rich history in Westeros, Ashun and his friends have formed a brand new alliance, RoD. Their goal was no different from BaN, total domination in Siege of Winterfell, not giving anyone a chance at winning against them, they wanted the first place in the rankings heading into Ultimate Siege.

The event consisted of many buildings to capture, each providing points and buffs. This mechanic was similar in all events, one that MooON, the alliance strategist, was familiar with. She had successfully demonstrated this in the past by winning Ultimate Siege multiple times against the greatest alliances, WxC and NBe. However, something set apart Siege of Winterfell from all other events, each warrior's personal strength mattered for map control, as well as capturing Winterfell's resources. Capturing those resources would provide a great influx of points, something that RoD would try to achieve in every match multiple times.

Seeing the strength and leadership of the event, Ashun felt at ease about the incoming battles. He knew that even if they were to lose the first round together, they would always bounce back stronger and more ready to win than before. This team looked very strong and bonded quickly, something that not many alliances before could achieve after such a quick merge, only a day before the event had started.

Their opponents for this round was FFS, a great foe which Ashun had encountered many times before, he knew everything there was to know about them and this is what made this round ever more so exciting. He knew just how strong they could be and if RoD had a chance to prove themselves as a threat for the championship, this match was one of their biggest chances, that's how highly he valued this round against FFS.

Numbers were equal heading into the fight, but strategies seemed to differ. MooON had prepared thoroughly for any scenario that could happen on the battlefield and thus creating various teams that had different jobs on the battlefield. Ashun was in the Winterfell team, one tasked with the capture of resources and helping in the biggest fight before the resources came around. The other 2 important teams were Armory and Hot Springs, each tasked to fight over their respective side of the map, and capture as many buildings as possible, or stalling the enemy for a long time if they were to lose.

Every team's job was very important and failing it was no option this time around, giving FFS even the slightest chance at winning would be detrimental for the outcome of the round. Ashun knew this very well, but now, the round had already started, and MooON ordered his team to head towards the Hot Springs, where FFS had gone in high numbers.

He hurried as much as he could, the same applied for his team, but they still seemed to be outnumbered greatly at the building. The fight that started was not one where they could win, it was a suicide mission, Ashun needed to hold the enemy off as much as he could, and he did just that. He was fighting with everything he had at his disposal against the mightiest warriors of FFS, with Lord Pratap at their charge on this side.

He was so strong that defeating him was no possibility, but that did not stop Ashun from trying, he gave his best, trying to injure the unbothered obstacle in front of him, but to no alas, he couldn't do it, and Hot Springs was a lost cause before he knew it, FFS was now pushing through.

MooON anticipated that, ordering reinforcements to arrive at the Stark Stronghold, where the last stand would happen. There the FFS forces would be neutralised, she thought.

On the other side of the battlefield, Armory had a different look on it, it was a similar display as at the Hot Springs, however, this side was in favour of RoD, who managed to quickly capture it and head further into the FFS position, trying to cut off the reinforcements between FFS' lines. After doing so, this army would meet at Winterfell with Ashun's team.

Without much delay, the reinforcements arrived at the Start Stronghold, ready to take the FFS forces on, however, RoD was left surprised by FFS' approach, they had only faked advancing, they were actually going for Winterfell. They wanted to be there ahead of RoD in order to secure a good hold of it. Ashun seeing this, hoped that the Winterfell team would manage to step up and head towards Winterfell himself, where the second biggest battle would ensue.

RoD proceeded with the previous plans, MooON did not seem surprised by FFS' change of plans, in fact, to Ashun it just seemed as if she was testing RoD's capabilities for the future rounds, she was looking for the standouts this match to better her planning in the future. As the Armory team had accomplished their goals of cutting off the lines of the FFS' armies from behind, they came to the aid of the Winterfell team at the newly spawned resources.

The battle that started was nothing short of legendary. Everyone was giving it their all, as they were equally matched in buildings for the majority of the round, the resources would make the difference. Ashun was sweating profusely as he fought for his dear life, struggling to hold his ground against such incredible spearmen.

But as the battle went on, everyone grew tired, and the side with more endurance came out on top. It was RoD that managed to capture the resources in the end, and it was all thanks to the speed at which reinforcements could arrive. For FFS, it was a tougher mission due to the Armory's team efforts earlier, but for RoD on the other side, they had no issues, and this was the winning condition for the resources.

It had all paid off and RoD had come out victorious, not only in the battle for the resources, but also in the match. The points which were equal throughout, had been shifted massively in RoD's favour guaranteeing them the victory in their first round of Siege of Winterfell. Ashun hoped this would be one of many more to come, he was proud of everyone's display, but especially MooON's witty strategy, which not only won them the round, but also showed which fighters had a quick reaction to join the battle at Winterfell first.

Although the first round was a victory, the season was just beginning. The future rounds awaited RoD with tough challenges as well, as they have not faced the previous finalists just yet, NBe. They were going to be the hardest match, but Ashun hoped that RoD was ready for them, only time could tell.
