What’s up, folks? With so many new recent events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

After five weeks of IBL matches, the top of the standings has shifted once again. BUNS hold pretty at number one as the only team with five games played and five wins. They soundly defeated IMPK to earn their spot. SF moves up from third to second after demolishing VEX in a fairly one-sided affair which also kicked VEX out of fifth place. SSQ slides up one spot and moves into third after slaughtering fourth-place KoS. With KoS’ loss, they dropped out of the top five and HMB moved into their slot. CUBS takes the last spot in the top five after an easy match against Server 243’s KoV. This week, IMPK will get a revenge match against BUNS’ sister team, PRD. Sixth-place HOWL will also challenge HMB for their slot. Lion, who many might consider title contenders, will take on SSQ. Last but not least, KoS and GoN will face off to prove which one of them is better. I predict PRD, HMB, SSQ, and GoN will win their matches. What are your thoughts?

💠Patch 2.7.0 Notes

We finally get a glimpse into the patch that’s slated for June 27. KvK is getting a massive revamp where the map will be divided into four factions instead of eight servers. Matchmaking will place top alliances from the servers into the four factions where they will be able to form federations to tackle the enemies together. Other alliances will get to choose their factions. Various factors like the weather and events will affect the battlefield. Victory will no longer be based on which server captures Ymir but on bunch of other factors. With regards to optimizations and balance changes, battle duration is increased from 90 seconds to 150 seconds, Assist gets a big nerf in preparation for the Legendary Skill Life Protection, and Drastic Action gets a significant buff to counter and reduce healing and sustain. Lastly, Wukong gets another round of buffs in his energy regeneration and damage department. His regeneration speed will increase by 8 points per second and his damage from his ultimate will increase by 90% at max level. Wukong will likely be significantly more viable in Shadow teams.

💠Discord Euro 2024 Event

The Official Infinity Kingdom Discord(IKDC) is hosting a Euro 2024 Event during the football season. Players who wish to participate will be allocated a team to support. Players will be rewarded 100 gems just for participating and 100 gems will be given every time the allocated team wins a match. If your team loses, you don’t receive any rewards. If your team wins against a team with an IKDC moderator, you will get 200 gems instead. Bonuses and additional rewards are available as the teams progress to the later stages of the tournament. If your team is eliminated early in the event, fret not, as there will be an opportunity for you to get back into the game. The event started on June 9^th and will continue until the end of the football season. Group Stage 1 takes place between Friday, June 14, and Wednesday, June 26. Eliminated players will get a chance to return and further participate in the event on June 27 during which these players will only have 24 hours to respond to instructions. These players will also be given a choice. Whether you’re a sports person or not, come participate in the festivities and earn some in-game rewards by rooting for your favorite teams!

💠Summary

After five weeks of IBL matches, two of the top five teams dropped down in the rankings. BUNS still holds first, SF moves from third to second, SSQ creeps into third, HMB drops to fourth after skipping the week, and CUBS moves back into the top five after an easy win. This week will feature several matches that will shake up the standings again by this time next week. Patch 2.7.0 notes are available with a slew of changes. More details of the new KvK are revealed, battle duration is getting extended to 150 seconds, Assist is getting nerfed, Drastic Action is getting buffed, and Wukong is getting another buff after still not seeing much play after his last buff.
