Game Mechanic : Overpower

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the mechanic behind the Tower of Knowledge (later ToK) skill Overpower.

Overpower is a Premium skill currently available in the Blessing of Triss Event and unlockable at ToK level 41.

Concept : 

Everytime you receive magical damage, reduce the magical damage you receive by 10% for 3 seconds stackable to 5 times. The timer refreshes every time you receive magical damage which means if there is a constant source of magical damage every 3 seconds you will be able to reach the 5 stacks until the end of the battle.

Best use on ?

Defense immortals have the lowest Magical Defense by far and this skill seems made for them. However there isn’t a lot of constant source of magical damage at 3 seconds timer inside the game right now.

Good combinaison : 

There isn’t really any skill that has special synergy with Overpower which is a stand alone skill.

Conclusion : 

The current meta doesn’t really give much room for Overpower to have a place right now. It is however an extremely valuable skill against the Time Rift Breaker Vampirism and Venom and this is truly where this skill can shine. A very expensive particular niche though, and not many players will be seduced by it.
