The North Never Forgets
(Siege of Winterfell)
In the Previous Season of Siege of Winterfell the alliance WLZ had fought valiantly in all their battles and being blessed by The Seven they were able to win all 6 matches for the first time in the history of this alliance. Through their great efforts WLZ was now able to fight in the Super League in the next season of Siege of Winterfell. However this blessing turned out to be a curse for WLZ.
After WLZ fought the first battle against their powerful opponents and lost as a result of being greatly outnumbered, Zlady the Duchess and leader of WLZ realized that it was impossible for her alliance to fight in the next battles to come. Now the fate of WLZ lies in Zlady’s hands as she now faces the difficult decision on whether to continue fighting for Siege of Winterfell with her alliance in the Super League or find another way for her alliance to fight against their opponents with more ease.
It was an early afternoon when Zlady, the Duchess of WLZ, sat down in one of the rooms in her castle waiting patiently for more members of her alliance to show up. After learning that WLZ was unfortunately put into the Super league and lost the first battle, Zlady did not wish for her alliance to continue fighting hopeless battles that would only result in their defeat. With one day remaining before the second match of Siege of Winterfell began she knew she had to act fast before it was too late.
Luckily an idea was brought earlier to Zlady’s attention by one of her officials to temporarily switch to an alliance that fought in a smaller league. Doing so would guarantee WLZ an opportunity and chance to be able to fight in more fair and easier battles. Zlady being a strong and fair leader would not make any decisions without the agreement from the other members of her alliance.
In order to execute this plan and make the others agree with it, the Duchess decided to hold a meeting in her castle with her alliance. She had sent ravens to the castles of each alliance member inviting them to attend this important meeting.
Now time had gone by since the Duchess started this meeting and since then no one seemed to show up. With much sadness in her heart and feeling as if she failed her alliance the Duchess was ready to abandon her plan seeing that no one had arrived, until the doors to her meeting room suddenly began to open. Walking into the room were Baldy and MacIntosh, one of her officials and Baldy, who came here to offer loyalty and support to her their leader and had fought courageously against their opponents in the previous match.
This greatly pleased Zlady and after greeting the two men she now began to carry out her plan with them. She saw that there was another alliance within her kingdom OaG, that fought a smaller league and considered having WLZ join them until this battle was over. “ What do you both think if we joined OaG for this next match?? I think you have already written a letter to their leader, Baldy and it seems that they are fighting in a more reasonable league than we are.” Zlady said. Baldy replied and said, “Yes my Lady Z however they lost most of their battles and I deem that we are better off not joining them.” Zlady always trusted Baldy’s judgment as he had keen diplomatic skills and was a very competent member of WLZ. “ Very well Baldy we will not join OaG. Do you know if there is another alliance that we could possibly join?” She asked once more. “ I think I know of one.” Mac responded. He was just about to say the name of the alliance when they all heard the loud sound of someone running through the hallways of her castle and was now heading towards their room. They turned their heads towards the door.

By the time Zlady’s letter had already reached my castle, I feared that it would be too late for me to join the meeting. My biggest concern was that once I made it the Duchess would have already made a decision before hearing me out. I knew of an alliance called sRg, that WLZ could have switched to that fought in a smaller league and did very well with their battles. The alliance belonged to my friend See U Mate and it was the alliance that Omaewa and I had previously played Ultimate Conquest with. This was now what I had considered to be WLZ’s only hope of succeeding in battle and I had to do my best to arrive there swiftly and convince Zlady to allow her alliance to fight with sRg throughout the rest of Siege of Winterfell’s battles.
I then immediately got on my horse and began to ride towards Zlady’s castle riding as fast as my horse could take me.
Once I had arrived and was allowed to enter by her soldiers I quickly ran through the hallway towards the room where the meeting was being held and rapidly entered the room startling everyone in the room. I found Zlady there along with Baldy and Mac who were the only two members to attend.
I apologized to them for entering unannounced and said, “ Greetings to you Lady Zlady, I apologize for the intrusion but if I may suggest to you, I know of an alliance sRg, that you and all your members can fight alongside in the Siege of Winterfell. My friend is the Duke of that alliance and I had already spoken with him and you would all be welcome to fight there. I also will mention that they fight in a smaller league. What do you think my Lady?”
After thinking about it for one moment Zlady then agreed to my offer and took out her quill and ink and was about to begin writing a letter to See U Mate, when Baldy had stopped her. ‘My Lady, don't you think this is a bit early to be making a quick decision like this? There is not much participation and we also have War of Kingdoms to fight in. I think we should make the final decision the following week so that way we will have more time.” Baldy said. “ That's a great idea, Baldy, I agree with you. It's settled then we will continue to fight in WLZ for now. This meeting is dismissed.” said Zlady.
When everyone began leaving the room I stood there dumbfounded by this decision and also frustrated. I knew that this was a mistake and that we will not be able to go on fighting like this for much longer but I had to respect my Duchess’ decision and ended up quietly exiting her castle also to prepare for our upcoming doom in tomorrow’s battle before ending my day.
It was the next day and the hour for the entrance to the match had begun. We had found out the previous night that the opponents that we would be facing would be CXI, another alliance that I knew would over power and crush our forces. Now here we all were in the battlefield waiting for the fight to begin and ready to strike our foes. However, once again the fact that we stood no chance against our enemy and were outnumbered by them had lowered the morale of many, causing less members to show up or fight against our opponents. Soon the barrier was released by The Seven and the battle began.
At the start of the battle things were not looking too well for us. Some of us had tried to capture some buildings early on but the forces of CXI had outnumbered us and crushed any of our attempts on taking them. Soon all the buildings were now under the custody of our enemies and there was not much we could do to stop them..
Soon the golden bag would spawn and since no one from WLZ would be able to challenge their right to the bag CXI would be able to succeed in delivering the resources from the golden bag to one of their bases. Giving them the necessary points to their victory. I knew I had no chances against our enemies but I could not just stand by and do nothing. I had to try to fight for my alliance.
I headed towards Hot Springs to face my enemy and my apparent defeat. Once I had arrived at my destination I found myself instantly being surrounded by the enemy troops but I would not let their numbers discourage me. At that moment I felt that The Seven would be with me for this one battle. With a new found strength granted to me by The Seven I was able to successfully fight off as many enemy troops as I could until most of my troops were wiped out and had to retreat with my remaining armies back to our base to heal my wounded troops.
I was not about to give up just yet but then I realized that it would be best to wait until our opponents reached the maximum amount of points before continuing to fight once more.
Last time the opponents in our previous battle had shown kindness and mercy and allowed us to receive points. Maybe our new opponents would also show us that same mercy. I would find out soon enough but now I had to wait for a little while longer.
As the battle had escalated and our enemies were close to reaching their goal not only by victory but also with points I now knew it was time for me to return and fight for my alliance along with some of the other warriors of WLZ. While I began to march towards the enemy's territory along with my armies Ii started to wonder when my husband Omaewa would arrive as he was the most powerful warrior that WLZ had and I knew he would give the enemy a real challenge even though he also would greatly be outnumbered by them.
I was getting closer to arriving at Hot Springs once again but I soon learned that some of the warriors of CXI had spotted me and were trying to eliminate my troops before they could arrive there. I had to run as fast as I could before they could stop me.
Luckily The Seven was with me once again and helped me arrive safely to my destination to meet my fate.
When I arrived I was not alone, Omaewa was already there valiantly fighting off the enemy troops with much skill and strength however that would not be enough to defeat the enemy forces even with me being there.
I watched as Omaewa continued on fighting the enemy until they eventually defeated his last and remaining troops before they almost defeated my last deployment but I had escaped just in time to avoid the same fate that met me earlier.
The enemy had finally gotten all the points that they needed and I was hoping that they would show us the same mercy like Lord Owen had shown us in our previous fight. I then returned to battle to see if our enemies would recall all of their troops and allow us to gain some points. This never ended up happening. Once they caught sight of my armies marching towards them they instantly wiped the rest of my troops showing me that they had no mercy towards their adversaries. I was enraged by this but before I retreated from their sight I uttered these words to them. “ Here in the North we never forget! “ Whether they heard me or not I did not know as I had left right afterwards. My fury and anger had soon quelled once I had returned back to our base. I then realized that they were only doing what they thought was best for their alliance.
The battle had soon ended and as expected WLZ had lost this battle for the second time.
I was not disappointed at losing but what bothered me instead was that we did not fight with Omaewa and my friends in sRg and also not to mention that our enemy was ruthless and refused to allow our alliance to gain points at the end.
I knew that now that if WLZ would not join sRg or another alliance that could fight in easier battles then I would have to take matters into my own hands and fight for the Siege of Winterfell in another alliance.I would decide to fight with either sRg or EXc which was another alliance that I was friends with. However I would not make any decisions without consulting Omaewa first as I did not wish to fight in these battles without him. Soon I would prepare for the next battle, the War of Kingdoms which would be beginning shortly but for now I would take a small respite and try to regain my strength before the next battle began. I now looked across the horizon as I saw the sky start to darken.
