GoTWiC [SOW] S10R5 TAG vs IUF

Hello everyone, it’s time for another SOW match.

Siege of Winterfell is one of several events within the realm of GOTWIC where Lords and Ladies sending their armies to certain castles. Not all castles are the same and do not yield the same number of points. The castle hot spring also gives free healing acceleration. In addition to castles in this event, there is also a package, which appears after a certain period in the middle of the map and where players must take it to the nearest castle that they control.

The season consists of 6 matches and the goal is to win at least 3 in order to get extra prizes. Also, the rewards you get per match depend on the number of points you get 20k, 40k, 60k or 80k.

In the 5th match of this season, TAG played against UIF from k36. 

TAG has appeared in this battle with 75 fighters and on the other side UIF with 80 fighters. They have several strong players including Bardock, plus they had 5 more players on the battlefield than us, but we had more quality players and I expected a victory. Our two strongest players won’t play this match and this can be our problem.

We already achieved 3 victories in the last match, so we played for fun and prestige, while the victory was much more important for them.

TAG's strategy was the same as in the others matches, divided between three different teams, Armory, Hot Springs and Winterfell. The focus was on Hot Spring and the strongest players went there, while a couple of players went to Winterfell and as time went on more players would come to secure the package.

They plan was different than us. They sent troops to others sides so our plan was brokens, we ned to send more players on Armory. After first 10 minutes of fighting, we were better. The fight was long and hard. Battle for first package was very long, the first package was the heaviest, we all carried it a little, they took it several times, after 6-7 minutes of fighting we managed to bring it to Base 2.

After that, Hot springs and Base 2 were crowded with our troops, and the fights were mainly fought at the Armory. The Armory was in their hands all the time, but that suited us, because their focus was on Armory and we could take packages more easily. Battle for both castles didn’t stop during whole match, but we won because packages. Lord Gitter, who is in charge of carrying the package, took last three packages thankful others who covered him very good and didn’t allow similar situation as it was with the first package.

 One of our new players tintin80, who joined us before this match, was the best in the match, and without him we would probably lost.

At the end result wasn’t bad, we couldn’t pass 80k points, but we had another win.
