Hello everyone.

We’ve all had that moment when we realize we don’t know much about other alliances and people playing there. Mine was when I wanted to leave RpG and I didn’t know where to go.

For people who are considering changing their alliance or just want to have more information about other alliances, I decided to interview the leaders of different alliances in order to know them better.

Today’s interview is with WTP

WTP is a 140B alliance that plays mainly in S league. It’s the third most powerful alliance and it’s ranked 12th in elimination ranking.

WTP’s Thor and Doom joined me to answer my questions.

1-    What type of alliance is WTP? PvP focused or events focused?

Doom: I would say WTP is both. It’s hard to divide one from another.

Thor: We have many different players, some prefer PvP like Doom for example. and others which are enjoying performing well in events more.

Bahar: Do the players who prefer pvp also participate in events?

Thor: Indeed, as we have a desire to as the Alliance WTP to also perform well in events, we have a basic standard that we set, including attending events and participating in those actively.

2-    What league are you playing in? (why?)

Thor: Originally we are an S league alliance, however we participated in A league for some seasons too to get a more relaxed play. However, the most recent seasons for UC and SoW we took part in S League again and plan to continue this.

Doom: When you want to bit relax or get your team to know each other’s or to get more experience, A league is not that bad choice before you step your foot in S.

3-    What’s your opinion about merit hunting?

Doom: This game is first of all war game and PvP is normal part of it. Considering that many alliances choose to not fight nowadays and they try to avoid PvP, only logical way to get fight sometimes is to ''merit hunt''. I normally just call it invasion. Merit just comes as part of it.

Thor: Merit hunting for me was something I used in the past to develop my fighting skills, however with all the server alliance events now I find it harder to leave a home server without your alliance for merit hunting trips. Also now that being in a bigger alliance allows for more pvp opportunities in CCS and KvK, I am always short on troops anyway for hunts.

Bahar: so, is merit hunting planned for those who like pvp? Do you go merit hunting as a group? or individually?

Doom: Well its random. Sometimes you go in invasions alone, but there is no doubt that is the most fun when you go with group of friends. Especially if you don't care much about troop and if you take it as fun. Sometimes when you have one friend who is afraid to fight, I like to make joke with them, when I open target in first hit and we kill it. Then next target I let them lose lord and start panic, so I can save them haha.

Bahar: you let people panic?😱

Doom: No I let them actually relax and accept its just game, where you are supposed to have fun, not the fear.

Bahar: oh so you act like a mentor...let them experience failure and learn from it

Doom: It’s just about relax and have fun.

4-    Do you have a minimum merit as one of the requirements to join WTP?

Doom: I think we do not, but merit can be a good indicator of what player like to do. So I would say it can have impact.

Thor: Nope merit is not something we look at individually, of course it might show fighting prowess

5-    Have you ever had conflicts on the kingdoms you were on? (tell us the story)

Doom: For a time, I'm inside WTP, I would say we did not have any conflict between each other’s, beside when they steal my lord 60 before Event match 😂😏😜

Bahar: wow! How did that happen?

Doom: They didn't have theirs 😂

Bahar: What did you do? Did you forgive them? 😀

Doom: Of course not 😂Just kidding 😜

6-    How do you help your members develop in the direction the alliance wants to take?

Doom: To help anyone develop, player has to be willing himself to develop. You can give best possible advice or offer any help you wish to someone. If person himself does not want to improve there is no much way to help him.

Bahar: true. but do you have any plans for the ones who are willing to learn? taking them to an invasion trip for example?

Doom: It’s still depend of person, clearly everyone can be offered to join invasion, be guided towards synergy or better understanding of game, but as I mention it has to intention from player himself.

Thor: We have several channels on our discord for guides, from anything rebel formation related to pvp or event specific like AoW guides. And everyone in our leadership is always open to be asked questions or give advice

7-    Have you ever kicked someone from WTP? (why? Tell us the story)

Doom: There was 2b whale Kiba who would not participate in events, kill rebels or do any help. I was pushing for that player to be kicked, because he became burden to alliance. There was no help from his side by any mean, besides being bigger as alliance for a 2B.

Thor: Unfortunately, that is a reality of being in an alliance, as doom mentioned, Kiba - being in an alliance is a team commitment, strong account power does not excuse alliance duties of killing rebels to give all members more speedups. Not participating in events puts a higher load on the other 99 players and thus is not acceptable.

8-    What is one of the hardest decisions you had to make as the leader of WTP?

Thor: hmm, I think the hardest choice overall for me in the modern history of WTP was the split from our old alliance merge to reform WTP as a solo alliance with only 30 players. We used to be a merge of the Cartel + WTP and named CTP. This worked well for a while but in the end WTP decided to move back to a solo alliance under the WTP banner and shell. However, since then we have grown back to a full 100 members and I think are happy overall where we stand.

Doom: Working with BDR in AoW was hardest decision that I had to make, as we got pushed from NBe leader OMNI who wanted badly because of some friends to work with BDR. I was pretty sure that it will lead us nowhere as BDR is not big fan of WTP, neither we are of them. When you have 2 group who does not really fit into each other’s its destined to fail.

Some of council members wanted to explore that option, especially it was painful as we first fought BDR hard won that battle without much help from NBe. Then all hard effort was thrown into some shaky NAP that lead us nowhere and also ruined our possible deals with other factions.

9-    What do you think makes your alliance better than others?

Thor: I think although we have talked a lot today about strict requirements and performing well with high expectations, WTP is still a great place for players to learn and develop further while still seeing how performing highly in events works.

Doom: Every alliance has some of magic and offer something different. I think if you love PvP and prefer place without drama, but you still want to be competitive, then WTP is right place for you. We are without doubt both PvE and PvP alliance, but I feel sometimes that our core group love more good fights. rather than certain events.

Also I believe our rebel requirements are neither too high or low. And if someone want to get more speed ups, then they are free to join rebel hunts, as long as they manage to do minimum inside alliance.

This was the interview with WTP.

I hope you enjoyed reading.
