[PLAYER GUIDE] Battle of the Narrow Sea (Update October 2025)

This guide reflects the author’s personal experience and the game’s content as it exists at the time of writing. Future updates may alter features or introduce new content.

What’s Narrow Sea: 

The Narrow Sea is a recurring PvE event where you send ships across the Narrow Sea to explore, gather rewards, and compete for rankings.

You get 1 million troops of each troop kind

Duration: The event usually lasts 5 days, divided into different phases. Each phase unlocks new regions and stronger enemies.

Stage quests: When the narrow sea event starts there are stage requests (for the first 4 days). These are kingdomwise. So if your kingdom clears the stages you get the rewards. These are rather easy quests, like defeat the Iron chief. This will be highlighted on your map. Be mindful of the time. As you can see, the left says only defeat the Iron chief, while the right side says within 12h. You’ll still get rewards if completed later, but finishing within the time limit gives maximum rewards, so coordinate with your kingdom!

Modify Warship:

From the stage quests you get hammers, these you can use in the modify Warship.

It can be seen as a talent tree. You can get troop attacks, army size, reduction of cost in naval supplies, etc.

How to play:

Every day you get 3 attempts daily. In which you start off with 1 million troops of each troop kind. So 4 Million troops in total. You also get a certain amount of naval supplies. Any action you do will cost you naval supplies, whether you attack a ship or salvage a shipwreck.

The goal is to attack ships and score points. But before you start with this it’s best you salvage shipwrecks. 

By salvaging, you spend some Naval Supplies but can gain:

• Stat boosts (for attack, defense, etc.)
• Abilities (temporary buffs during your run - important ones include for example Health->Attack conversion)
• Treasure fragments (collect 4 to get one free salvage without using Naval Supplies)
• Commander Awakening/Buffs
• Extra Naval Supplies

Like you can see this is the cost for salvaging shipwrecks:

You can do the option to salvage once, but you can also salvage 5 times. The 5 times goes faster. Pay attention when you choose stats for the first time it will ask if you want to go to level 5 instantly, this will consume 5 times the naval supplies. Choose wisely:

In order to be successful, you need to try to accumulate around 3000% of your strongest troop type.

This means:

1) Focus on salvages that boost your main troop’s stats (for example, Cavalry Attack or Spearmen Defense).

2) Avoid wasting supplies on buffs for troop types you don’t use as your main.

3) Once you’ve built up your strength, start attacking ships to push your score higher

Your score is tied with how many troops you kill in a single attack, as you get points per attack. The best way is to find a boat you counter, meaning if you are infantry main, you look for a spearmen boat, If you are cavalry main you look for an infantry boat, etc.

Higher troop kills = higher score.

Tips and tricks:

Here are some small but powerful tips that make a big difference:

• Change your castle defense to a troop type you don’t use, this prevents losing your main attacking troops if you’re attacked.
• Use an alt account to exchange map fragments, saves time and resources.
• Don’t take enemy attack reduction buffs, enemies don’t have attack stats, only Health and Defense, so those buffs are wasted.

Salvage Priority:

1 )Naval Supplies

2) SS Stats (Attack/Defense/Health)

3) Map Fragments

4) One-time bonuses like Health → Attack conversion

Check regularly if you’ve reached max attack stats, and start attacking as soon as you have, no point wasting supplies after that.

Use scouting wisely:

With your alt you can get the troop scouting ability to see their troop type

Look at your own defense reports, you’ll see their type in the defense report anyway

Shop:

During the event, you’ll earn Narrow Sea Coins (or Voyage Tokens) based on your performance.
