1.) Background Story of Ragnar Lothbrok

After a period of relative quiet, Viking activity in England increased in the latter decades of the eleventh century. From the 980s forward, England was plundered by several Scandinavian armies at the same time, operating alone or jointly in pursuit of loot and, finally, conquest. The Fight of Maldon, which commemorates a battle fought between an English army and a group of Vikings on the coast of Essex in 991, is the poem that has most often been chosen to exemplify literary images of the Vikings during this turbulent period.
Even though the English were beaten, the poem portrays their fall as heroic: the combat is portrayed as a national struggle against an army of Vikings, who are depicted as Waelwulfas (96),'slaughter-wolves,' and Haene Scealcas (181), 'heathen warriors.' 2 They are a nameless, faceless band: the poem tells us a lot about the names, families, and houses of numerous English fighters, from high-ranking army officers to the most basic foot-soldier, yet not a single member of the Viking force is given a name. Given that the Viking army's leaders may easily have included some notable individuals, like Svein Forkbeard, King of Denmark, this appears to be purposeful and willful ignorance - a poetic choice.
The commanders of the Viking forces who invaded England in the second half of the ninth century became the topic of a slew of subsequent tales, particularly Ivar, Ubbe, and their brothers, whom we have already met as the alleged killers of St Edmund of East Anglia. These guys were eventually recognized as the sons of Ragnar Lothbrok, a semi-legendary warrior and one of Scandinavia's most renowned Vikings. Ragnar and his sons appear in sagas, chronicles, and poetry from Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and other nations, with the most full and vivid tales being from the twelfth century and later.
The vivid and detailed Scandinavian texts contain the most complete versions of these legends, but a few sources – mostly in summary form, in Latin chronicles and saints' lives – indicate that there were also various stories about Ragnar Lothbrok and his offspring circulating in medieval England. It has been suggested that these traditions originated in the Anglo-Scandinavian civilization of the Danelaw when immigrants and their successors sought to explain or justify the ninth-century Viking invasions of northern and eastern England.
Ragnar Lothbrok of Norse mythology is a Viking warrior and king, a serpent-slayer, and the father of many warrior sons. One of his exploits explains how he received his moniker: to defend himself against two venomous serpents, he wore woolly pants smeared in tar, earning himself the epithet lobrók, 'shaggy breeches.' According to numerous tales, he has at least three wives, one of whom he wins with this serpent-slaying accomplishment; another wife is a fierce female fighter who fights beside him in combat, and the third is the daughter of the famed hero Sigurr the Völsung. Ragnar had at least eight sons from these brides, all of whom embark on their adventures, plundering and reigning over Northern Europe. The tradition has it that Ragnar died in England after marauding in Northumbria. He is apprehended by the Northumbrian King AElla and sentenced to death in a snake pit. In his final words, he grins in the face of death, vowing that his sons will come to revenge him. They do, and AElla is made to pay a high price for Ragnar's death.
The Viking chiefs who may have been the progenitors of these mythical individuals are not usually designated as brothers or tied to any specified parent in their early appearances in the historical record. However, in the second part of the eleventh century, they came to be referred to as the sons of a man known as 'Lothbrok.' The Norman historian William of Jumièges, writing in 1070, was the first to make this connection. William recounts a warrior called Bier (Björn), son of King Lothbrok, in his Gesta Normannorum Ducum, which describes Viking attacks on northern France in the middle of the ninth century. This Bier, he claims, was known as 'Ironside,' because his mother had shielded him with invulnerability charms that allowed him to fight unarmed on a battlefield and not be hurt by any weapons. According to William, it was common practice among the Danes for a father to exile all of his sons from his territory save one, who would be his successor, and so Lothbrok banished Bier, who departed home to acquire regions for himself. With the help of his instructor, Hastings, he collected an army of other young men and ravaged France and Italy. Bier was later shipwrecked off the coast of England when going back to Denmark and died in Frisia. Nothing further is said about his father, Lothbrok.
The first reference of Lothbrok in England is in the Annals of St Neots, a collection of annals based mostly on the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle but also containing information from other sources and oral tradition. Its allusion to Lothbrok is short yet powerful. Based on the Chronicle, an entry for the year 878 relates how one of the Danes' chiefs was slain in combat against the English and the Danes' flag 'Raven' was taken. It goes on to say:
(During that combat, they captured the 'Raven' banner. For it is related that the three sisters of Ivar and Ubbe, exempli of gratia. the daughters of Lodebroch weaved the flag and finished it in a single noontide. And it is also stated that in every fight where this flag is flown if they win, there arises during the banner what looks to be a living raven flying; if they lose, it hangs motionless - and this has repeatedly been proven.)
Old Norse and Old English texts, as well as the work of medieval historians such as Saxo Grammaticus, were rediscovered and studied in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries for the evidence they could provide into the early history of the Germanic peoples, their culture, language, customs, and myths. Scholars attempted to uncover the shared ancestors of the Anglo-Saxons and Scandinavians – commonly referred to as the 'Goths' and other northern European peoples – as well as explain the relationship between the Norse gods described in medieval sources and the pre-Christian Anglo-Saxons' much less well-documented belief system.
Scandinavian and Icelandic intellectuals exchanged letters with British antiquarians, exchanging ideas, texts, and linguistic knowledge. This was valuable and pioneering work, though they occasionally misunderstood their medieval sources in ways that created new and pervasive legends about the Vikings: the idea (still occasionally encountered today) that the Vikings drank from the skulls of their enemies arose from a misinterpretation of a poem about Ragnar Lothbrok by the Danish scholar Ole Worm in his 1636 Literatura Runic.
2.) How to Get Ragnar Lothbrok?
2.A.) Hall of Immortals

In Hall of Immortal, you can get Ragnar with a percentage of rate 0.06%!
2.B.) Ancient Remanent
Ancient Remanent has as well known as Legion Frostborne Chest:
2.B.1.) Divine Will

The requirement for buying this chest is your server must finish the Legion of Frostborne. In other words, this chest is available for all!.
2.B.2.) Divine Prophecy

The requirement for buying this chest is your server must capture the capital.
3.) Skill Recommendation and Reading PvP Battle Report

Ragnar as Tank/Support for Water Marches
3. A) Frostbite Blow

Frostbite Blow is a default skill for Ragnar. It will give you up to a 30% + 20% Damage Increase for the Team (If Target is Chilled).
How does it work?
It works like Matilda and Anger for Damage Increase.
With Formula Concentration
OD = PD0 + PD1 + i ; PD1 = PD0 x α
OD = PD0 + (PD0 x α) + (PD0 x i) ; i = 20%
OD = PD0 + (PD0 x α) + (PD0 x 20/100)
OD = Ouput Damage
PD0 = Physical Damage
PD1 = Physical Damage Coefficient
α = Percentage of Damage
i = chilled target damage bonus
Example:
Some middle exclusive players that use Yoshitsune and Dido as their team marches.
In a case, Yoshitsune without Ragnar will give 13.500.000 Physical Damage
So
After using Ragnar full diamond (lv 8) (30%) combined with Dido, it will be:
OD = MPD0 + (MPD0 x α) + i
OD = MPD0 + (MPD0 x α) + (MPD0 x 20/100)
OD = 13.500.000 + (13.500.000 x 30/100) + (13.500.000 x 20/100)
OD = 13.500.000 + 4.050.000 + 2.700.000
OD ≈ 20.250.000 Physical Damage

3.B.) Water Protection

Water protection will reduce critical damage taken by protection up to 70%!, if you are using a water team it will give you a shield that will recover health bar up to 150% if the opponent deal critical damage.
c) Energy Suppression

Energy Suppression will reduce the energy regen speed of all enemies, so our team has a high chance to get the first hit and it will reduce the opponent's damage as well.
d) Misleading

Misleading will reduce the accuracy rate of the enemy up to 20%. Because the Water team is the damage burst team, so we must keep dodging the enemy hit as much as possible.
With Formula Misleading
Me = Mp x A
Aa = Total Attempt
Me = Misleading Effect
Mp = Misleading Percentage Ratio
Example:
The enemy team without Misleading will hit 200 times; 190 successes and 10 fails (dodge)
So
After using Misleading lv 8 (20%), it will be:
With Formula Misleading:
Me = Mp x A
Me = 20/100 x 200
Me = 40 times
Misleading Effect = 40
If we compare without using Misleading, it will be
10:40
or we can say:
Total Attempt Fail: Total Attempt
40:200
1:5
.:. We can conclude, our water team will avoid 40 attempts to fail if we use Misleading. In every 5 hits, there will be 1 probability the enemy missed the hit.
4.) Best Combination:
4.1.) Helen of Troya

Helen can chill 3 random enemies every 3 seconds for 12 seconds, so she can work together if we combined with Ragnar Lothbrok.
4.2.) Dido

Ragnar Lothbrok will work better with Dido because she can grant frost armor to all allies for 9s. Dido also has a 35% chance of inflicting chill on the attacker while getting a normal attack. According to the skill above, we can conclude she is the best duet with Ragnar Lothbrok.
5.) Conclusion: is it worth it?
Ragnar is the best support immortal for water marches at the moment because he can increase damage up to 30% like Anger and 20% extra if the enemy chilled (like Merlin). Unfortunately, this immortal can only be summoned from Legion of Frostborne. You don't need to be a worry. If you are lucky enough you also can obtain his fragments in the Hall of Immortals.
