The Homestead math - and maybe even the whole approach - needs to be rethought

The Top-Line Question

Are the developers going to make the Homestead area larger?

The Math

The Level 7 decor limit is now 300 Level 1 items and 120 Level 2 items.

Level 1 items are 1 unit by 1 unit and have an area of 1 square unit. Level 2 items are 2 units by 2 units and have an area of 4 square units.

(300 x 1) + (120 x 4) = 300 + 480 = 780 square units.

The Level 7 Homestead plot (as far as I can tell) remains 30 units by 24 units.

30 x 24 is 720 square units.

The Reality

Of course, it goes without saying that a player could merely make decisions now about what to prioritize. This isn't my complaint; I actually prefer that games like these have some semblance of optimization problems, where players have to decide how to proceed in ways that require thought to satisfy certain goals.

But really: homestead was already hard enough to manage when every tile wasn't full. The hit/grab boxes of items overlap in inconsistent ways. The graphics become visually corrupted when too many of certain items are in proximity. But now we have a decor limit that can't be reached even if the present area has every tile filled - which would itself be a management nightmare.

The Bottom-Line Question

What are the developers' plans for improving this?
