[Review] Player's Digest: Weekly Summary of Recent News and Events in Infinity Kingdom

What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The fifth week of the Illusion Battlefield League concluded with very few veteran servers remaining near the top of the standings, as newer servers continued to dominate the tournament. Although most matches were fairly one-sided, a handful of battles still stood out for their competitiveness and strategic play. 

• Server 70’s GOD defeated Server 414’s BTE.
• Server 73’s ARC defeated Server M16’s ICE.
• Server 159’s MDS narrowly defeated Server 389’s NOF.
• Server 344’s HOT triumphed over Server 115’s DH.
• Server 432’s HVN continued their win streak against Server 485’s TOS.

The leaderboard remains tightly contested, with the top three teams holding perfect 5-0 records, the next six teams sitting at 4-0, and the tenth-place team close behind at 4-1.

💠Summer Festival

The Summer Festival is underway from July 13 to July 22, bringing back the familiar 10-day event format but with a much stronger emphasis on the new Summer Passion outfits. The Battle Pass no longer rewards a castle decoration skin, instead offering 60 Alexander Summer Passion outfit fragments as its final reward, while the Fishing Contest once again features daily bunny battles that award additional Alexander outfit fragments along with several new insignias. Dazzling Wish has also been adjusted, replacing the previous 300 Eternal Grails reward with 20 Athena Summer Passion fragments and increasing the pity requirement from 500 to 700 draws, making it significantly more expensive to guarantee top rewards. Overall, the event is best suited for low- and mid-spenders who want to invest in Alexander's powerful new outfit and are willing to purchase event packs, but it offers poor value for players looking to collect Eternal Grails or make meaningful progress toward unlocking Athena's outfit.

💠Legion of Frostborne

KvK matchmaking concluded this week for the Legendary Season, with alliances being divided into just four brackets based on their matchmaking scores. While most servers successfully found opponents, a number of alliances were left without a match and will instead receive compensation once the season ends.

• In Region 47, Server 136’s AWG headlines the bracket. Server 159’s MDS and Server 277’s WIB are the closest in alliance power, but none hold a candle to AWG. They should win easily.
• In Region 48, Server 38’s AoW, Server 209’s HK, Server 73’s ARC, Server 56’s HMB, Server 231’s CN, Server M14’s RiP, and Server M16 are the most active PvP servers.
•  In Region 49, there are a hodgepodge of smaller servers, but none that will be able to progress far. There will unlikely be a winner in this bracket.
• In Region, Server 136’s SKY is the strongest server. Server 137’s GON and Server M22’s WOLF follow after, but 136 should comfortably win both brackets.

💠Summary

IBL Week 5 saw newer servers continue to lead the standings, with only a few veteran alliances still in contention. Summer Festival shifted its focus to Alexander's Summer Passion outfit, while Legendary Season KvK matchmaking concluded with four brackets and compensation planned for unmatched servers.
