Don’t Rush Level 30 | How To Use Affinity Smartly

Guide

The more I looked at the Affinity system, the more one thing stood out to me:

I do not think rushing level 30 first is the smartest way to use it.

Right now, the two big milestone points are level 15 and level 30. Level 30 is the one people notice first, but level 15 already matters a lot because that is where you start getting the immortal’s insignia reward. So if your goal is stacking as many useful bonus stats as possible early, then bringing multiple useful immortals to 15 first looks a lot more efficient than tunneling one immortal straight to 30.

And that is really the whole point of this article.

Not just what Affinity is.

But how I would actually use it smartly if my goal is attack first.

⚜️So where do you even start?

For this article, I’m keeping it simple.

I’m focusing on:

🔹 Physical Attack

🔹 Magic Attack

Not Physical Defense.

Not Magic Defense.

I’m focusing on attack first, because let’s be honest, that is what most people are going to look at first. More damage is just easier to notice.

So before even thinking about level 30, I think the first thing you should do is decide:

🔹 Do I want to build Physical Attack first?

or

🔹 Do I want to build Magic Attack first?

Once you choose that, the rest gets much easier. I would start with the main damage immortal in your main team and build from there.

⚜️What do the gifts actually do?

This is where people can waste value if they do not pay attention.

There are basically two types of gifts:

🔹 Universal gifts

🔹 Elemental gifts

The universal gifts are the ones like:

🔹 Spiritfont Nectar

🔹 Starweave Silk

🔹 Letter of Blessing

These work on anyone, but they do not give the elemental bonus the same way matching elemental gifts do. From what we know so far, that makes the universal gifts most useful for Chaos, Holy, and Shadow immortals, since they are not part of the normal five-element gift set.

That is why, for me, the split is simple:

🔹 Elemental gifts → for normal elemental immortals

🔹 Universal gifts → for Chaos / Holy / Shadow immortals

⚜️So which gifts should you actually use?

Personally, if you have Chaos immortals, I would save the universal gifts for them first.

If you do not have Chaos, then Holy and Shadow are the next obvious places.

The reason is simple. From what we know so far, using elemental gifts on non-elemental immortals is just not the smartest use of them unless you really have no better option.

So the basic rule becomes:

🔹 Normal element immortal? Use the matching elemental gift

🔹 Chaos / Holy / Shadow immortal? Use universal gifts

That already makes the system much cleaner.

⚜️Physical or Magic? Pick one first

This is another place I think people will overcomplicate things.

You do not need to build everything at once.

If your main goal is attack, then just choose one route first:

🔹 Physical Attack

or

🔹 Magic Attack

And once you choose that, the target list becomes much easier.

If you go Physical Attack, then focus on the immortals in your chart that feed that route.

If you go Magic Attack, same logic.

What I would not do is split all my good gifts everywhere just because I want to “progress everything.” That sounds nice, but it gets messy fast.

Pick one route first. Build it properly. Then move on.

⚜️Why I think level 15 is the best first stop

This is the main point.

From what people found so far, 15 and 30 are the big milestone rewards, and one recent Battle of Asteria guide also recommends getting immortals to 15 first before moving on.

And honestly, I agree with that.

If we look at your costs from 0 to 15, they go like this:

🔹 0 > 1 = 200

🔹 1 > 2 = 400

🔹 2 > 3 = 600

🔹 3 > 4 = 800

🔹 4 > 5 = 1000

🔹 5 > 6 = 1200

🔹 6 > 7 = 1500

🔹 7 > 8 = 1800

🔹 8 > 9 = 2000

🔹 9 > 10 = 2300

🔹 10 > 11 = 1100

🔹 11 > 12 = 1300

🔹 12 > 13 = 1300

🔹 13 > 14 = 1500

🔹 14 > 15 = 1600

That means:

🔹 0 to 15 = 18,600 Affinity points total

And for that, you already hit the first important insignia milestone.

That is why level 15 makes so much sense to me.

Because if your goal is to collect a lot of bonus stats early, then bringing multiple useful immortals to 15 gives you more spread-out value sooner than pushing one immortal too hard and delaying the rest.

So no, I do not think level 30 is bad.

I just do not think it should be the first thing you rush.

⚜️The thing people might miss

This is a small thing, but it matters a lot.

From the current screens, just owning the insignia already gives the bonus. It does not have to sit in your top 5 displayed slots to activate.

That changes a lot.

Because now the system becomes even more about collecting efficiently, not just picking your favorite few and ignoring the rest. If ownership alone already adds value, then bringing more useful immortals to 15 first makes even more sense.

That is another reason why I think a wide level 15 approach is smarter at the start than a tunnel-to-30 approach.

⚜️So how would I actually use Affinity?

If I wanted to use Affinity smartly for attack builds, this is how I would do it:

🔹 Pick Physical Attack or Magic Attack first

🔹 Use elemental gifts on the correct elemental immortals

🔹 Use universal gifts on Chaos / Holy / Shadow

🔹 Bring the useful immortals to 15 first

🔹 Only after that start deciding who is worth pushing to 30

That feels way cleaner to me than blindly rushing one immortal just because level 30 sounds bigger.

⚜️My take

If your goal is attack first, then yes, I really do think level 15 is the best first stop.

It is not forever.

It is not for every immortal.

But as your starting plan? Yes.

Because it gives you:

🔹 Faster access to more insignias

🔹 Better spread of account value

🔹 Less wasted gift usage

🔹 More flexibility before committing hard to level 30

So if I had to sum it up simply:

🔹 Do not rush level 30 first

🔹 Decide whether you want Physical or Magic Attack first

🔹 Use the right gifts on the right immortals

🔹 Build wide before you build tall

That makes more sense to me.
