Some skills in Infinity Kingdom looks strong the moment you read them. Big damage, insane buffs and incredible power. Then there are skills like Spring of Life where people read it once and go "oh yeah, okay healing boost" and just move on with their day.

And honestly, that is why I wanted to talk about it.

Because the skill Spring of Life is not about healing. The real juice in my opinion what makes this skill interesting is the fact that every time a unit receives healking, it also gets 15% less damage for 3 seconds. Now the skills stops being about healing numbers and start about how often can you keep triggerting that damage reduction?

That is where thing start getting way more interesting.

Because right now we are not just asdking "what healer skill or unit do I use?" We asking "what can actually keep this skill active the most?"

"But UNSHACKLED, isn't this just another healing article??"

No, not really. This is more about which skills actually makes Spring of Life annoying, which skills has good synergy with it or are less reliable with it. It all comes down which option are actually worth using depending on whether you are whale, mid spender or just trying to keep your march competitive as a F2P.

What are we covering in this article?

Well we go over:

  • what Spring of life actually does
  • the core skill that works with it
  • which one I think works the best
  • a simple tier list
  • immortals that have good synergy with it

The main skill: Spring of Life

At max level, the Spring of Life increases the healing effect received by all friendly units by 25%. On top of that, everytime a unit receives healing, they also get 15% less damage taken for 3 seconds. That second part is the real reason the skill matters.

Sure, the extra healing sounds nice. Nobody will complain about that. But the real value is the damage reduction getting refreshed again, again and again. So the whole point of this article is simple:

What are the best skills for triggering Spring of Life as often as possible?

How to get the skill? The skill is obtainable by buying in wishing shop for 1020 cinder wishes and Tower of Knowlegde level 46.

Skills that has good synery with Spring of Life

These are the main skills this article will be focused on:

  • Fountain of Life
  • Beserk
  • Soul Synergy
  • Purification
  • Vitality Touch
  • Shelter

S-Tier:

Fountain of Life

Let's get the whale option out of the way first.

As a pay-to-win skill, Fountain of Life is the best match for Spring of Life in my opinion. This skill is obtainable in Conquest or higher season, and at max level it gives all allies Silence immunity for 6 seconds at the start of battle, reduces healing effects from allies by 50%, increases self-healing by 20%, and restores HP to all allies every 3 seconds with a Recovery Rate of 150%.

And the reason this is so strong is not complicated at all.

It heals every 3 seconds.

That means every 3 seconds, Spring of Life gets another chance to refresh that 15% less damage taken effect. It is constant and reliable through the entire fight.

A-Tier

Berserk

Now for players who do not have Fountain of Life, this is where things get more interesting.

Berserk is probably not the first skill most people think of when talking about healing synergy. Which is fair. On paper, it looks way less impressive. At max level, it increases the attack speed of all your units by 10%, and restores a small amount of HP with every successful normal attack at a Recovery Rate of 30%.

And yes, 30% is not exactly a life-changing heal.

But that is not the point.

The point is that every successful normal attack can trigger Spring of Life.

So if your units keep landing hits, they keep getting that small heal, which means they also keep getting 15% less damage for 3 seconds. Suddenly the value is not the size of the heal. The value is how often it happens.

And that makes Berserk a lot better here than people might think.

“But Unshackled, what about Wound? Won’t that just neutralize the healing?”

That is a fair question.

Units like Qin Emperor and Genghis Khan can apply Wound, which stops healing. But from my testing, even when the heal itself does not go through, the damage reduction from Spring of Life still triggers when that healing effect tries to apply.

So yes, the HP recovery gets blocked. But the defensive part still seems to kick in.

Which is exactly why I think Berserk is the best alternative for F2P and mid spenders. It gives way more consistent uptime than a lot of skills that only heal one unit or heal less often.

This combo is especially nice into hard-hitting teams where the goal is surviving longer.

B-Tier

Soul Synergy

Soul Synergy creates a mental link with all allies. When a linked ally uses an Ultimate Skill, including yourself, that ally restores HP with a Recovery Rate of 240%.

At first glance, this sounds like it should be A-Tier. And honestly, I would not blame anyone for thinking that.

The problem is that it depends on ultimates. And if the enemy is running things like Energy Suppression or No Escape, your energy gain gets slowed and the healing comes in later than you want. So the skill is still good, but it is less stable and less consistent than Fountain of Life or Berserk for keeping Spring of Life active.

C-Tier

Purification

Every 3 seconds after battle starts, Purification removes Debuffs and Abnormal States from a random friendly unit. If that unit has none, it restores HP instead with a Recovery Rate of 160%.

This one is decent. The 3 second timing is nice. The problem is the randomness. It can hit the same unit again, and if that unit actually has a debuff, then it cleanses instead of healing. So sometimes it helps Spring of Life very well, and sometimes it just decides to be awkward.

Vitality Touch

Vitality Touch heals the allied unit with the highest troop loss every 6 seconds with a Recovery Rate of 400%, and increases that unit’s physical and magical defense by 10% for 18 seconds.

This is a strong skill by itself. I have no issues there. The problem is that it only really helps one unit. So yes, that unit becomes much harder to kill, but it does not give the same full team, repeatable uptime pattern as the higher-tier choices.

Shelter

Shelter protects all units on the same side within range with a 50% chance of restoring HP with a Recovery Rate of 40% if they sustain damage.

This is not useless, but it depends more on the situation and is not as reliable as the higher-ranked options. It can work, just not as reliably if your whole goal is to make Spring of Life trigger across the team as often as possible.

Other skills worth mentioning

Besides the main ones above, there are still other skills that can work with Spring of Life, like:

Absorb, Will of Angels, Desire of Life, and Unyielding.

The reason I did not rank them higher is not because they are bad. It is more that they are either more conditional, more single target, or just less reliable if your main goal is keeping Spring of Life active.

Immortals that work well with Spring of Life

There are also two immortals that stand out for this skill.

Theodora

Theodora heals the whole team, which makes her naturally good with Spring of Life because more healing across the team means more chances to refresh the damage reduction effect.

Zenobia (F2P friendly)

Zenobia heals the two allied units with the highest troop loss, which also makes her a strong fit, especially in teams trying to survive longer battles instead of ending them quickly.

Example march idea

One of the more practical examples for free-to-play and light spenders would be an Alexander carry march with Yi Sun-Shin, Qin Emperor, and Zenobia. Here is march setup I would use.

My final thoughts

So overall, this is my take on Spring of Life.

A lot of people will probably look at it and only care about the 25% increased healing received part. But to me, the more important part is still the 15% less damage for 3 seconds whenever healing is received. That is the part that makes the skill worth building around.

If you are a whale, Fountain of Life is the easiest and strongest way to keep that effect constantly active.

If you are F2P or a lighter spender, then Berserk is honestly the one I would look at first. The healing is small, yes, but the repeated triggers make your team way tankier than people expect.

At the end of the day, this is still my own opinion and testing, so I am curious what other people have been pairing with Spring of Life.
