💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The first week of the playoffs will begin this week. The Group Elimination phase follows a double elimination bracket, where teams can get a second chance to advance to the next phase of the tournament if they lose once. New immortals and skills will also be available in the playoffs and the rest of the tournament. There are a couple of matches in each group that will be entertaining and interesting to follow.

In Group 1, HMB and EP will play their match at 14:00 UTC. Both alliances are mid-tier teams and should be fairly even. The two alliances usually field a similar number of players every week too. HMB should have the edge.
In Group 2, GO+ and BUNS will play each other at 12:00 UTC. Most of BUNS’ core is in another alliance for the duration of KvK, so it will be interesting to see how they manage.
In Group 3, CN and MyA6 will play at 12:00 UTC. MyA6 will want to try to win this match so their main alliance, WV, will have an easier time moving on in the bracket.
In Group 4, Fxxk and HT will face each other, and TNG and HOD will meet at 12:00 UTC.
The outcomes for Group 5 will be predictable, but IMPK and LC will try to beat their opponents to advance.
In Group 6, AWO0 and AWGM will face each other at 12:00 UTC. AWO0 is new to the event and has been steadily improving. It will be interesting to see how they fare against an experienced alliance like AWGM.
In Group 7, SSQ and FAM will likely face no other competition.
In Group 8, NG+ will play ICE at 15:00 UTC. NG+ will have already had a chance to test things against BUNS earlier in the day, so they should have an advantage.

💠Squad Survival Tournament

This month’s Squad Survival Tournament concluded this week. It lasted from Tuesday, August 12, to Thursday, August 14. The winners of the event have been regulars lately. _GG_WP_, composed of players from Server 38, stands atop the rankings with nearly 23 million points, down from 27 million last month. K00L Kids, made up of players from Server 209, took second place with 19 million points, down from 25 million. Team Toes, made up of players from Servers 38 and 209, took third with almost 19 million points, up from 17 million from last month. For a couple of seasons now, the threshold to win has been steadily increasing. It is indicative of the honor trading epidemic during the event. This was the first month where points were mostly down across the board. It might be a sign that fewer players are registering for the event, or people are just not as willing to farm besides those we keep seeing at the top of the rankings. The event has largely lost its competitiveness and desperately needs a revamp or a change. Most players and teams are likely just trying to get into the top 100 for the rewards. Once they secured their spot, they aren’t registering to play multiple times during the three-day event.

💠C60 Teasers and Events!

C60 is slated to grace the game in one of the upcoming patches. There was a prediction event on Facebook this week where players could guess when the new content would be released. Five players who had the closest guess won in-game rewards. Since the game’s release cadence is once a month and their release days are on Thursdays, usually in the second week, one can surmise that the C60 content will be released on September 11. Teasers showed the release will include new gnome bosses, level 60 equipment, equipment modifications, class specializations, immortals, a new pioneer event, and an alliance championship tournament. In lieu of these ongoing weekly teasers, the Infinity Kingdom Discord is also hosting another frame design competition where players can submit ideas using any media tools like Photoshop and AI. The submission period is from August 12 to August 27. 💠Summary

The IBL playoffs will begin this weekend. Another season of Survival Squad Tournament wrapped up on Thursday. There are numerous events on the Infinity Kingdom Facebook and Discord teasing the release of C60.
