💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

The IBL Point Phase is drawing to a close. The standings in the top eight rankings changed after last week’s matches.

Server 56’s HMB defeated Server M016’s ICE.
Server 73’s CUBS dropped their match for their sister team, ARC.

Some of the top teams have already played their eight matches, and some will opt to play fewer than allowed. Teams at the top of the standings are more likely to match one another in the same time slot. Let’s take a look at the standings after Week Nine.

Server 73’s ARC retained first place after their win against CUBS, resulting in a 7-0 record.
Server 73’s BUNS hold onto second after their win with a 7-0 record.
Server 345’s LC slid into third after CUBS lost their match. They have already played their eight games and have a 7-1 record.
Server 73’s CUBS fell one spot with a 6-1 record.
Server 56’s HMB jumped into fifth after beating ICE and has a 5-0 record.
Server 38’s Ascendants of Asgard are in sixth with a 5-0 record.
Server 231’s CN fell two spots after skipping last week and has a 5-0 record.
Server 344’s AWO0 holds the eighth spot with a 6-1 record.

In the final week, we have some exciting matchups that will further shake up the rankings, especially the top eight.

Server 73’s CUBS will face off against ARC once again at 20 UTC. While this will be a win for ARC, the ramifications of the loss will push CUBS further down the rankings.
Server 136’s AOSK will play against Server 38’s Ascendants of Asgard at 14 UTC.
Server M018’s HT will face off against Server 344’s AWO0 at 20 UTC for a shot at the eighth spot.
Server 231’s CN will take on Server 56’s HMB at 14 UTC.

💠Legion of Frostborne

Zone 2 gates opened this week, and all of the brackets are largely decided at this point. Even if losing servers are planning to fight back in certain ways, they will unlikely be able to capture any city in Midgard or even enter Zone 3.

In Region 306, Servers 105, 136, and 308 from Terra control all of the Zone 2 regions and will take all of the cities in a couple of days. All other factions are left with some Zone 1 cities as of now.
In Region 308, Servers 38 and 139 from Ember control all of Zone 2 and have already occupied most of the cities, save for two. Terra is left with their starting zone while Zephyr and Hydro have a few Zone 1 cities in the neutral zones.
In Region 312, the opening of Zone 2 meant Ember and Hydro met for the first time. Ember ended up pushing Hydro out of each of the Zone 2 regions and currently controls some of the cities within them. Hydro has many of its forces locked up in different regions.

💠Patch 2.8.6 Notes

Patch 2.8.6 will be released on Thursday, August 7. The patch contains a slew of new features, new skills, optimizations, and buffs for some Holy immortals. Pinnacle Trial Ranking in monthly events will undergo a mini-mode where players can challenge other players in the rankings, and rewards will be given based on those rankings. The release will also feature two new skills. The Legendary skill Knife Through Butter will deal physical damage and a chance to deplete the enemies’ energy after landing six normal attacks. The Epic skill Iron Curtain will allow normal attacks to have a chance to weaken barrier effects and reduce damage taken. Manco will receive a buff to his skill and make him immune to Confuse effects. Khubilai Khan will receive a damage buff. Nebuchadnezzar II will receive a significant energy regeneration buff. The patch also includes a series of optimizations that include increasing the number of Gems needed to recover prosperity after each subsequent recovery, and the count resets at the start of each day. The migration cap will also be increased. Certain KvK skills will also join the Wisdom Well Shop.

💠Summary

The rankings shifted slightly after the ninth week of IBL. KvK has largely been decided in every bracket since Zone 2 opened. Patch 2.8.6 Notes are out and will be released this upcoming Thursday with a number of significant changes.
