What’s up, folks? Welcome to my beginner series where I’ll be taking a closer look at specific events that may be difficult for early-stage players. In this article, I’m going to explore Stellar Compass, Wonderful Journey, Spending Reward, Strategic Reserves, and Redeem Events, what they entail, the rewards, and how to best min-max the events.

💠Overview

The five events, Stellar Compass, Wonderful Journey, Spending Reward, Strategic Reserves, and Redeem Event, occur once a month and always at the same time. They last three days, starting on Tuesdays and ending on Fridays, and each has its own set of rules to obtain various items that players can use to get Crystal Balls to use in Stellar Compass. Stellar Compass is a good way for players to get some Artifact Schematic Fragment Selection Chests, especially for free-to-play members and low-spenders. You can even save the Crystal Balls across events to use them together. It’s similar to Sparks of Galaxy.

💠Spending Reward

Spending Reward gives players Lucky Dice for spending Gems and buying bundles and packs that give Gems. For every 800 Gems spent, the event will reward you with one die. For every 400 Gems recharged or bundles purchased, players will get one Lucky Dice. For early-game free-to-play and low-spenders, the best way to spend Gems, in my opinion, is to use them to get to VIP 15. VIP 15 provides the best permanent stats and various bonuses. Some players might be tempted to use Gems to purchase immortals or play Sparks of Galaxy, but metas are temporary and VIP 15 is permanent. Save as many Gems as possible, use as few Gems as possible, and don’t use them to do temporary things like restoring prosperity. Ideally, you’d want to save around 72,000 Gems to use so you can get about 90 Lucky Dice. If you can get slightly more dice, that’s even better, but 90 is around what you would want to complete the Wonderful Journey. Additionally, sometimes the event will coincide with events like Sparks of Galaxy so if you are already VIP 15 and want to spend Gems elsewhere, the Frosty Orb Gem bundles are an option.

💠Wonderful Journey

Wonderful Journey is an event where players spend Lucky Dice to move around the board, similar to Monopoly. There are 30 spots on the board so it will take, on average, nine Lucky Dice to make one cycle. Landing on different tiles will yield different rewards, ranging from speedups and resources to Philosopher’s Stones and potions. There are also five tiles that reward players 20 points each so cycling the board once will reward 100 points. These points go toward your progression bar which has rewards at 200, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 1,000-point thresholds. You can get 100 Crystal Balls as well as three Epic Forging Material Selection Chests so you’ll need 90 Lucky Dice to finish the progression bar. 100 Crystal Balls will get you at least 15 artifact chests from Stellar Compass.

💠Strategic Reserves and Redeem Event

The Redeem Event is a shop where you can trade in Ancient Silver for rewards. Players can get Ancient Silver as part of the Strategic Reserves event. Players can get Strategic Chests, which contain Ancient Silver and resources, by defeating gnomes, typically at a three-to-one ratio, killing gnome bosses, and collecting resources. Some servers will have this coincide with the Double Reward event which is the best time to use any extra AP potions you may have. The best way to save AP for Strategic Reserves is to store the 500 AP you get from Daily Missions in your mail. You can store up to three days’ worth. Additionally, you can purchase 500 AP for 100 Gems eight times per day after using all of your Medium AP Potions. Those 800 Gems will give you 4,000 AP and count towards your Lucky Dice amount to grant you one die. Furthermore, players can send out their troops to gather from resource tiles and time it so they return when the event starts. It’s also optimal to let your resources in your castle fill up beforehand. The best rewards to get from the Redeem Event are the 25 Crystal Balls for 80 coins each. I would personally forgo the option to pay 40 Gems and 40 Ancient Coins for up to 25 balls. That would cost a total of 1,000 Gems and I don’t believe it’s worth it.

💠Stellar Compass

Now that you have collected all of the Crystal Balls you can get for free or otherwise, you can finally spend them in Stellar Compass. The event has 12 possible slots for rewards, four of which contain a set of 15 Artifact Schematic Fragment Selection Chests. If you do not obtain any of the four sets, your Stellar Points increase, up to 100. The higher it is, the higher the chance you have to draw the chests. I would only use the Crystal Balls if you have 100 or more so you don’t put yourself in a situation where you run out of balls and still don’t get the chests. If you do not have 100 balls, just save them for next month’s event.

💠Summary

Every part of the five events progresses players toward getting Crystal Balls for Stellar Compass. Spending Reward is a great chance to spend Gems to increase your VIP level to get stats and Lucky Dice. Lucky Dice will allow players to get up to 100 Crystal Balls. Strategic Reserves gives incentives for players to save AP and kill gnomes for Ancient Silver which can be traded for more Crystal Balls. Finally, Crystal Balls can be spent in Stellar Compass to net players Artifact Schematic Fragment Selection Chests.
