Sparks of Galaxy has been a staple event in Infinity Kingdom, allowing players to acquire powerful Holy and Shadow Immortal fragments alongside exclusive artifact shards. But now, with a surprise limited-time overhaul, the event has evolved in exciting ways! This refreshed version brings improved rewards and new mechanics that shake up its original format.
In this article, we’ll break down what’s changed, analyze the value of the new rewards, and help you decide whether it’s worth investing your resources into this updated version.

1. What is Sparks of Galaxy?
Sparks of Galaxy is a recurring in-game event where players can obtain valuable fragments and artifacts by spending Frosty Orbs. Traditionally, the event ran for three days at a time, giving players one free daily roll, with additional pulls available for purchase using Gems or currency.
In its standard format, the event included a mix of valuable and basic rewards, meaning that while players could chase high-value items, they often ended up with speedups, experience scrolls, and lower-tier resource chests.
How It Works
- Players roll for rewards using Frosty Orbs.
- Horo Points accumulate when an Immortal fragment is not obtained.
- Once 100 Horo Points are reached, the next roll guarantees Immortal fragments.
Players could also buy Frosty Orbs in different-sized bundles for better value.

Now, with the new limited-time version, mechanic is the same but a few things have changed.
2. What’s New in the Limited-Time Version?
The Fourth Anniversary surprise update has completely revamped Sparks of Galaxy, making it much more appealing than before. Here’s what’s different:
🔥 Revamped Reward Pool
Gone are the low-value speedups and experience scrolls! The new pool includes:
- Dragon Crystals – Crucial for upgrading Holy and Shadow Dragons.
- Dragon Essences – Rare and valuable resources for advanced players.
- More Immortal Fragments – Increased drop rates.
- More Exclusive Artifact Shards – Essential for crafting the best gear.

🎯 Updated Horo Points Mechanic
Previously, Horo Points would only reset when obtaining 30 Immortal Fragments. Now, they reset after any Immortal fragment drop (including x2), making it harder to get the guaranteed x30 fragments after the 100th pull - but it also makes it potentially more rewarding.
⏳ Time-Limited Nature
This new version seems like it will only be available for a short period or at least limited in time, making it an opportunity that players shouldn’t miss in my opinion!
This is still to be confirmed by IK Officials.
3. Analyzing the Value of Rewards
Now, let’s look at whether the rewards in this new version are truly worth it compared to standard options in the game.
🔹 Dragon Crystals and Dragon Essence
Essential for players focusing on Holy and Shadow Dragons which are obviously harder to level up in terms of portraits and talents. More information on this aspect in my previous guide here.
While obtainable through other sources, this event provides an efficient way to stock up.
Best for: Players with Holy and/or Shadow teams looking to strengthen their dragons for PvP.
🔹 Immortal Fragments & Exclusive Artifact Shards
This new version of the event is the only consistent method to obtain Holy and Shadow Immortal fragments outside of luck-based roulettes (Theia) or random fragments from seasonal events or the harbor.
The new Horo Points reset makes it harder to stack them.
Best for: Players building top-tier Holy or Shadow teams.
📊 Statistical Analysis: 150 Frosty Orb Pulls
To determine the true value of the updated Sparks of Galaxy, I conducted a 150-pull test to evaluate the drop rates and see whether this version is worth investing in.
Since this is a small-scale test, the results may slightly vary, but they provide a meaningful glimpse into what players can expect.
Drop Rates from 150 Pulls
Below is a breakdown of all rewards obtained:

🔹 Observations:
- The event provided a higher-than-expected amount of Fragments and Artifact Shards, making it a great option for players looking to boost their Holy/Shadow teams through specializations.
- Dragon Crystals are plentiful, but purchasing Dragon Knight bundles might still be a more cost-efficient route for players only looking for Crystals—especially the cheaper ones, where each crystal costs around $0.08. The bigger packs aren’t as cost-efficient.
- Dragon Essence remains rare, but its drop rate is still significant compared to other sources.

- Dragon Crystals (x5) appeared in 69 out of 150 pulls, confirming their abundance in the reward pool.
- Artifact Shards appeared in 34 pulls, suggesting a balanced yet modest presence.
- Fragments (x2) also appeared in 17 pulls, showcasing a moderate drop rate.
- Fragments (x30) are rare, with only 3 pulls yielding them—but they offer significant value.
- Dragon Essence, though rare, still showed up in 27 pulls, giving players a fair shot at acquiring this otherwise limited resource.

📊 Drop Rate Analysis – Takeaways:
- Dragon Crystals (x5) had the highest drop rate at 46%, making them the most common reward.
- Artifact Shards also appeared frequently, with a strong 22.7% drop rate.
- Fragments (x2) and Dragon Essence had relatively balanced appearances at 11.3% and 18% respectively.
- Fragments (x30) remained the rarest reward, with only a 2% drop rate.
4. Best Strategies for Maximizing Rewards
To get the most out of the event, here are some key strategies:
🔹 Daily Free Pulls – Always claim your free daily spin.
🔹 Focus on Small Bundles – The best deals come from smaller purchases rather than big packs.
🔹 Track Your Horo Points – Be mindful of resets when strategizing your pulls.
5. Final Thoughts – Should You Participate?
The limited-time version of Sparks of Galaxy is arguably the best iteration yet. If you’re in need of Holy/Shadow Immortal fragments, Dragon Crystals, and exclusive artifacts, this event offers a unique opportunity to grab them at solid value.
Who should participate?
✅ High Spenders – Best value for stacking Holy/Shadow Immortals.
✅ Mid Spenders – A great way to push your Immortal progression faster.
✅ Free-to-Play Players – Still worth participating in daily free pulls especially for Dragon Essences!
Conclusion: A Limited-Time Opportunity Worth Considering
The revamped Sparks of Galaxy event brings one of the best opportunities yet to obtain Holy and Shadow Immortal fragments, Artifact Shards, and Dragon Crystals. With a more focused reward pool, the event is far superior to its previous iterations—though the new Horo Points reset system introduces a bit of unpredictability.
Based on our 150-pull test, the event offers great value for players looking to strengthen their Holy/Shadow teams. However, those primarily interested in Dragon Crystals may still find Dragon Knight bundles to be the more cost-effective option.
With this limited-time version, it's uncertain whether Sparks of Galaxy will retain this format in future events. If you're looking to maximize your Immortal growth, now is the best time to take advantage of it!
