HELLO AND WELCOME TO HONORS CORNER!!
I hope all my fellow Lords and Ladies are, or had a great weekend. With lots of exciting events on Infinity Kingdom's horizon, I thought it was time to do some spring cleaning of my Forge. To see if I had missed any EAs that needed to be forged, upgraded, developed or empowered. I think EAs can be a minefield, assimilating the correct information to focus on the right EA for your chosen Immortal. Go grab a coffee and let's dive into the article, about Understanding the workings of EAs.
INTRODUCTION
In the Infinity Kingdom, the strength of your march depends not only on the immortals and dragons you select but also on the strategic use of Exclusive Artifacts (EAs). These powerful items, significantly enhance an Immortal's attributes, ultimate skill, and March Power(STP) to improve performance. This article will explore the mechanics of EAs, their Special attributes, how they interact with dragon talents and Tower of Knowledge (ToK) skills. Along with this, what factors do you need to consider when selecting and upgrading? By mastering EAs, players can create devastatingly effective combinations that focus on the synergy between immortals, ToK skills and dragon talent abilities. This Article, focuses on Epic EAs, since they’re widely used by the IK community.
The Mechanics of Exclusive Artifacts: A Closer Look
Exclusive Artifacts (EAs) are unique to specific immortals, meaning their exclusive attributes only activate when equipped by the designated immortal. The primary function of an EA is to amplify an immortal's ultimate skill, often improving its effect or lowering its cooldown. For example, an EA could boost an immortal's healing capacity, increase damage output, or add debuff to enemies.
There are 5 types of EA, Normal(green), Rare(blue), Elite(Purple), Epic(Gold)and Legendary(Red). Only Epic and Legendary will have the opportunity to, randomly assign between 0-4 Secondary basic attributes.
When forging an Exclusive Artifact (EA), a primary attribute is randomly assigned, establishing the core influence the artefact will have on an Immortal Detailed Attributes. This primary attribute is crucial as it guides the selection of the Special attribute. Additionally, up to four basic secondary attributes may be randomly assigned to the artefact, each adding a unique value based on the Immortal’s function. For support Immortals, basic secondary attributes like dodge and critical rate increase survivability and utility. Attack-focused Immortals benefit from physical or magical attack percentages, while defence Immortals gain from boosts to physical defence. The primary attribute informs the selection of the Special attribute, for example, choosing Surge for a support Immortal. This choice is refined by factors like Immortal's secondary attributes, march synergy, dragon talents, and attributes that complement Immortal's role within the March composition.
The Randomness assigning of the Basic and Special Attributes of an EA is challenging and can be costly. For the stars and Moon to align on a usable EA, will take multifarious forging.
Above an example were the Primary Attribute works with the Special Attribute, though physical Attack Bonus would have been better than the defence one.
Special Attributes of EAs: Impact on Immortal Abilities
Every EA comes with special attributes that directly affect an immortal's performance. These attributes can range from boosting physical or magical damage to increasing health or defensive stats. The special attribute is what truly makes an EA exclusive, as these bonuses are tailor-made to strengthen that specific immortal's role on the battlefield.
For instance, an EA for a healer like Theodora might increase healing output by 30%, while an EA for a damage dealer like Genghis Khan might boost critical hit rates or magical attack power. This customization is critical in building an immortal that performs at its peak in your march.
Choosing the right EA is about understanding your immortal's role and ultimate skill. Does your immortal rely on burst damage, sustained control, or team-wide buffs? The EA's special attribute should enhance these strengths while compensating for any weaknesses.
EAs and Tower of Knowledge Skills: A Symbiotic Relationship
The synergy between EAs and ToK skills is crucial to perfect your Immortal. ToK skills enhance an immortal's basic and ultimate abilities. When combined with an EA, the overall effect can be exponential. Or it could be catastrophic if Stats do not sync. Let us consider, an immortal whose ultimate skill delivers heavy AoE damage. Equipping an EA that boosts AoE power, combined with a ToK skill like Energy Burst, to improve regenerate energy, will allow that immortal to deliver devastating blows to the enemy team.
The key is to align the Special attributes of an EA with the skills from ToK. If an EA increases an immortal's critical rate, then ToK skills that amplify critical damage or reduce enemy defence will create a lethal combination. The true strength of a march lies in how well these mechanics overlap. A lot also depends on your specific March build, and understanding Synergy is beneficial.
Developable and Upgradeable Exclusive Artifacts: What is the Difference?
Not all EAs are created equal. Some are developable, meaning they can evolve to unlock new abilities and enhance their basic attributes. These artefacts require significant investment, using in-game resources such as Sun and Empowered Crystals materials which will Empower an EA from Silver to Gold. By contrast, upgradeable EAs are simpler, focusing on improving existing stats and abilities rather than unlocking new ones.
The above examples demonstrate the role of Empowerment, as can be seen it significantly increases the stats of basic Primary, Secondary and Special Attributes.
When deciding whether to invest in a developable or upgradeable EA, players should assess the long-term potential of their immortal. Developing an EA is a substantial commitment, requiring both time and resources, but it can transform an immortal into a near-unstoppable force. On the other hand, upgrading a simple EA may be more efficient in the early game, allowing you to strengthen your march without heavy resource investment.
Primary and Secondary basic attribute stats are both improved when you have a developable EA. Non-developable EA, only the Primary attribute stat is improved when it is upgraded. It requires significant effort to forge a developable and upgradable EA, but it will be worth it.
How to Choose the Right EA for Your Immortal
Selecting the right EA requires careful consideration of the immortal's role, its element, and the overall strategy of your march. Here are some key factors to consider:
Ultimate Skill: Analyse how the EA enhances the immortal's ultimate skill. Does it reduce the cooldown or amplify the effect? Does it complement your strategy?
Synergy: Ensure the EA's special attributes work in harmony with the ToK skills and dragon talents in your march.
Elemental Build: Consider the elemental affinity of the immortal. EAs that boost elemental damage should align with the March overall element. A Holy march might focus on healing and defence, whereas a Fire march prioritises high burst damage.
Team Composition: The EA should complement the other immortals in your team, providing a balanced approach to attack, defence, and support. Synergy is the buzzword, a March build is like a recipe, follow all the ingredients and you will have a cake.
The evaluation of all these components ensures the EA strengthens the Immortal wearing it and the entire March performance.
Dragon Talents, also play a crucial role in this dynamic. The dragon talent needs to complement immortal but also the EA. For instance, if an immortal's EA enhances a stun effect, selecting dragon talents that focus on control or crowd control will further enhance your march's overall synergy. Therefore, the successful use of EAs is not just about raw stat boosts but aligning those boosts with dragon talents to create multifaceted strategies that deliver in complex battles.
Upgrading and Developing EAs: The Path to Power
To level up an EA, players will need to collect enhancement materials through in-game events (Rebel Camps) or purchases from the Pearl shop. Upgrading requires artefact shards, which are forged using artefact materials. For developable EAs, additional resources are needed (EAs-specific artefacts) to unlock new stages of power, which adds even more complexity to the decision-making process.
When upgrading an EA, focus on the immortals central to your march. Prioritise EAs that offer a significant impact on your battle strategy. Through, enhancing an ultimate skill or increasing your team's survivability.
Above is an example of the resources required to develop an EA.
