Hey, it's Press Officer Mael! Let's talk about a popular skill in Infinity Kingdom: "Concentration". Known for increasing magical damage, this skill is essential from the early game to the end-game. It's versatile and adds strategic depth to any mage-based immortal lineup. Let's explore why "Concentration" is a must-have!

Skill Concept.

"Concentration" becomes available for everyone at Tower of Knowledge level 24, making it accessible early on. This skill is a game-changer with its straightforward effect: it boosts your magical damage by 30% in battles. Infinity Kingdom features a variety of skills with different effects:

  • Triggered: Activate under specific conditions, such as after certain attacks or events.
  • Auras: Provide continuous buffs or debuffs throughout battles. Each Immortal can equip only one Aura at a time.
  • Graces: Offer temporary boosts at the start of a fight for selected Immortals.
  • Passives: Always active and provide constant benefits without needing any triggers.

"Concentration" is a passive skill, meaning the increased magical damage will remain active throughout the battle.

Unlike skills like "Wisdom," which increases the magical attack stat by 60% (and requires complex calculations to translate into actual damage), "Concentration" directly amplifies damage output, ensuring more impactful hits in battles.

What’s the Difference Between Magical Attack and Magical Damage?

Magical Damage and Magical Attack are key components in determining your mage’s effectiveness.

  • Magical Damage is the actual damage inflicted during battles. It’s calculated based on the Magical Attack attribute of your Immortal, the percentage boost from Ultimate or Passive Abilities, and Magical Penetration versus the enemy’s Magical Protection.
  • Magical Attack refers to the attribute value that influences how much damage your Immortal can potentially deal.

The final damage output is also affected by the Troop Count on your Immortal, as well as buffs and debuffs. Additionally, attacks have a chance to be a critical hit, which can increase damage.

Now that we've covered the basics, let’s dive into which Immortals benefit the most from "Concentration."

Top Picks: Mael’s Best Immortals for 'Concentration'

I’ve compiled a list of the top Immortals that pair exceptionally well with "Concentration," categorized by spending levels: Free to Play, Light/Mid Spender, and High Spender. This guide is designed to help players of all budgets maximize their gameplay with this skill.

Before diving into the top Immortals based on your budget, here are some key considerations to keep in mind:

Early-Game: For new players, acquiring "Concentration" early is crucial. This skill provides significant benefits in both PvE and PvP battles, accelerating your growth.

Main Mage: "Concentration" is perfect for your primary magical-damage Immortal, increasing magical damage output by 30% and enhancing spell effectiveness.

Synergy with Other Skills: This skill not only boosts basic magical attacks but also amplifies damage from other Tower of Knowledge skills, making it a versatile addition.

End-Game: For high-level players, particularly those who invest heavily, attribute boosts might sometimes surpass direct damage increases. However, for most players, "Concentration" remains a reliable and consistent damage booster.

The skill has no positional restrictions, so it can be equipped on any Immortal. However, given its effect, it is particularly designed for Mage Immortals. It would not make sense to equip it on other types of Immortals.

Free-To-Play

Empress Wu is my top Free-to-Play pick for "Concentration." She excels with this skill, as it boosts her magical damage by 30% throughout the battle, making her a powerful option for Free-to-Play players looking to gain a strategic edge. Additionally, Empress Wu’s role in Fire teams is likely to land tons of critical hits (depending on your VIP level and other factors), which enhances the value of "Concentration."

Opinion: When paired with Chase, which adds a 30% chance of extra magical damage on each critical hit, "Concentration" creates excellent synergies. This combination maximizes Empress Wu’s damage potential and makes her even more formidable in battle.

For Free-to-Play players, Empress Wu is an excellent choice for "Concentration," but if your main team focuses on Water or Earth, Merlin and Cleopatra are also strong alternatives. Merlin, while requiring an initial investment, is considered Free-to-Play. Cleopatra could also be an option, though she is less favored in Earth teams today due to the benefits of hybrid marches (Wind Earth or Shadow Earth).

Disclaimer: Some players argue that "Concentration" only amplifies damage from passive Tower of Knowledge skills or normal attacks, and not from Ultimate or other Tower of Knowledge skills. However, reports seem to tell a different story. While the math behind the damage equation is complex, I find it interesting to test and learn together. Let me know in the comments if you believe your theory is closer to the truth about "Concentration."

Now that we’ve covered the top Free-to-Play Immortals and Skills for "Concentration," let’s explore the best options for Light to Mid Spenders.

Light / Mid-Spenders

Baldwin IV and Hammurabi are great options for Light and Mid-spenders. While I am not very familiar with those Immortals, if you are running a Wind or Lightning main team, they are the best options to equip "Concentration" with.

Opinion: Baldwin and Hammurabi are two great Mages from the Wind and Lightning elements. They are very popular among players using these teams as their main team. I would love to have your opinion on these two and their synergies with "Concentration." Let me know in the comments so we can test and learn together.

High-Spenders

As you probably already know, Himiko is my special crush. I absolutely love her, and she’s a perfect fit with "Concentration." Her ability to deal immense magical damage combined with her control abilities makes her truly exceptional in the game. She’s my top pick for a night out as a date... oops, I mean for high-spenders looking for the best Immortal to equip "Concentration" on!

Another great fit for "Concentration" is Loki. I ranked him in the High Spenders section, but he can be considered Free-to-Play in special scenarios where savvy players didn’t sell his shards and kept any Loki fragments they obtained through events. See here why he can be considered as Free-to-Play.

"Concentration" is a must-have skill for any mage-focused lineup in Infinity Kingdom, offering significant advantages from early to end-game. Whether you are a Free-to-Play player or a high spender, there's a perfect Immortal to pair with this powerful skill. Empress Wu, Merlin, Cleopatra, Baldwin IV, Hammurabi, Himiko, and Loki all shine with "Concentration," each bringing unique strengths to your team.

As always, the best way to understand the full potential of "Concentration" is to test it out with your Immortals and share your findings. Do you have favorite Immortals that excel with "Concentration"? Share your thoughts and strategies in the comments below!
