Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new series, where I do a deep dive into the many skills available in Tower of Knowledge. Today, we will be taking a look at Armageddon, which has gained popularity recently, especially among earth and holy teams.

Overview

Armageddon is unlocked at Tower of Knowledge level 50. It has no position limit, and can be placed on any immortal, although it is usually only placed on mages. It is a burst skill, doing a massive amount of damage (Damage rate 1600%) on all enemy units 50 seconds into battle. Dealing so much damage at once is unique to Armageddon, with no other skill able to come close to dealing the same amount of damage.

How to Obtain

Armageddon can be obtained from the Triss Wish Shop for 1020 cinder. While this is not cheap, it is much more accessible than in the past, when it could only be obtained from wishes in Blessings of Triss. Players can obtain this by either buying skills from Recharge Gift, or from the Legion of Frostborne shop, and exchanging them for cinder.

Best Immortals

Himiko and Loki  are two of the immortals who commonly equip Armageddon. They both have high base magical attack stats, and are able to survive long enough for Armageddon to trigger.

Accompanying Skills

Demonic Contract and Battle Stance are two skills that are almost always equipped to go along with Armageddon. Both these skills reduce the amount of damage the immortal does at the beginning of the match, but increases damage drastically as the match progresses. This synergises perfectly with Armageddon, boosting its damage dealt when it triggers at 50 seconds.

Assist is another skill that is always used on the supporting backline immortal. It will transfer the damage dealt on the mage onto themselves, keeping the mage healthy and alive until the 50 second mark, where they can cast Armageddon to deal massive damage.

Battle Report Analysis

Armageddon is usually able to do around 20-30 million damage. With so much damage dealt at once, it is usually too much for enemy teams to deal with. Even teams with a lot of shielding and healing are unable to protect themselves from so much damage dealt in a single instance.

However, the damage it is able to do is not always consistent. Some battles, the immortal loses too much health, or Armageddon fails to crit. Some enemy immortals might also be protected by Guard or Assist, which results in Armageddon hitting fewer targets, and doing less damage.

Assist Nerfed

With the nerf to Assist in the latest patch 2.7.0, it is no longer a guarantee for it to activate. Instead, Assist has a 50% chance to activate every 6 seconds. This introduces an element of luck, as when Assist fails to activate, mage immortals equipped with Armageddon can take large amounts of damage. This makes Armageddon less effective, as mages can no longer make it to 50 seconds as easily as they did in the past.

Epilogue

With this guide, I hope everyone has a better picture of what Armageddon does, and understands which immortals and skills synergise the best with it.
