Hey everyone, Mael here! Today, we're talking about why it's important to protect your bowmen troops from Gnome raids in Infinity Kingdom. Keeping your training ground full and your hospital empty is crucial. In this article, we’ll cover why it’s essential to have troops ready for battles, how to manage resources effectively, and tips for getting the most out of events while keeping your kingdom safe. Let's dive in!

Training Grounds: Where Troops Form the Army.

Having plenty of troops for both PvP and PvE battles is key because the number of troops directly affects how strong your team is in battles, and therefore your Strategic Troop Power (STP). The Training Grounds is where you can see how many troops you have available, how many are already deployed, and how many are injured. The higher your Training Grounds level, the more troops you can have. It's crucial to upgrade your Training Grounds to build a powerful army.

At the Training Grounds, you'll find four types of troops: Shieldmen, Cavalry, Spearmen on the front lines, and Bowmen in the back, who attack or provide support. Troops are essential in Infinity Kingdom, and knowing their roles and strengths is vital for making smart choices in battles. Troops fight alongside your Immortals, each leading different types of troops, which gives you flexibility and strength in combat.

Understanding Bowmen's Exposure to Losses.

Teams in Infinity Kingdom are often composed of various front-row troop combinations such as Shieldmen with Cavalry, Shieldmen with Spearmen, or Cavalry with Spearmen. However, Bowmen are positioned twice in the back row alongside your two back-row Immortals, which increases their exposure to battle losses. This article aims to explore a tactic for protecting Bowmen effectively and reducing these losses.

As shown in the Training Ground visual, I have 233,000 Bowmen, with around 150,000 each for Shieldmen and Cavalry. Bowmen account for the highest number of seriously wounded and allocated troops, illustrating their vulnerability to losses in battles.

Based on the above, in battles—whether PvP (Player versus Player) or PvE (Player versus Environment)—your Bowmen are more vulnerable to losses. They're crucial for a balanced army, and losing them weakens your forces, necessitating resources for training and healing. This tactic minimizes Bowmen losses, ensuring effective participation in PvE events such as 'double rewards' for acquiring Gems, without compromising PvP readiness in events like Server versus Server, or Contention of Lords.

Protecting Bowmen: The Key Tactic

Do More With Less

This tactic focuses on raiding Gnomes using just two frontrow Immortals and a Fire Dragon. The Fire Dragon starts strong with True Damage, weakening the Gnomes. By leaving Bowmen out of the battle, we minimize casualties and keep the hospital free.

Roles of Immortals:

  • Alexander The Great: Leads with heavy damage and can single-handedly handle Gnome teams due to his rapid attacks and significant damage output.
  • Charles: Provides vital defense, shielding Alexander from Gnome assaults. As a Defense Shieldmen Immortal, Charles has high defense stats that makes him robust.
  • Fire Dragon: Crucial for starting the battle with significant True Damage.

This strategy focuses on efficiency, achieving a big impact with fewer troops. It uses Alexander and Charles’ strengths, along with the Fire Dragon’s initial attack, to handle Gnome raids effectively.

By not deploying Bowmen, this approach prevents losses and ensures raids are highly effective. It keeps your army ready for future battles without reducing strategic depth or the number of available Bowmen troops.

To show how effective this tactic is, I ran a test with 10 raids using both team setups. With the tactic in place, using a Fire Dragon and only 2 front-row Immortals, Charles and Alexander, raid losses were reduced by 62.8% compared to my main team. Although this sample size of 10 attacks is small, it clearly shows how this strategy saves Bowmen. Imagine the benefits over the long run, using it every day.

For Alexander, I suggest using Rage Blessing to provide Charles with additional energy regeneration so he can shield more often. Combo and Cleave are also recommended to enhance Alexander's attack capabilities.

For Charles, the goal is to shield frequently to protect Alexander. Adrenaline Rush is a solid choice for this, and I also use Guard to further protect Alexander. Blade Vortex is also a good choice to trigger more frequent normal attacks from Charles, therefore with Adrenaline Rush activating more often. BV and Guard skills are premium options from Triss. If you don’t have access to them, you can use some Blessing Skills to minimize damage input and Adrenaline Rush. You can also use Defense Blessing to provide the team with additional defense.

Another alternative is to include Theodora as a third Immortal in this setup. While this isn’t the same strategy since Bowmen would be deployed with Theodora, she is a strong option for players who can afford her. Her ultimate ability, 'Divine Gift,' dispels continuous damage, which makes up a large portion of the damage received from Gnomes. Check out this video from Kin Gaming on this alternative.

Note: This tactic should not be used in the early game since Bowmen are crucial for raiding Gnomes. They provide the necessary leverage to grow and succeed in these early stages.

Protecting your Bowmen is essential for maintaining a strong and effective army in Infinity Kingdom. By implementing the tactic of raiding Gnomes with Alexander the Great, Charles, and the Fire Dragon, you can significantly reduce Bowmen losses. This approach ensures your Bowmen are available for crucial battles, keeping your hospital empty and your Training Grounds full.

This strategy not only helps manage your resources efficiently but also prepares you for both PvP and PvE events, such as Server versus Server and 'double rewards' events. Continuously refining your tactics to protect your valuable troops will enhance your overall game experience and strategic capabilities.

By focusing on the strengths of your Immortals and the powerful initial strike of the Fire Dragon, you can achieve more with fewer troops. Keep experimenting and adapting your strategies to safeguard your Bowmen and maintain a competitive edge. Good luck, and may your kingdom thrive!
