Hi, everyone. Today, we've brought to you Awakened Surplice Aries Shion's training analysis and lineup gameplay guide, which will introduce and analyze his Galactic Duel battle strategies. We hope that it will be helpful to you all!

Surplice Aries Shion is a practical, all-around Saint who can be trained or equipped differently based on the roles he can play in the lineup. The first option is the general support role we are all familiar with. The second is the damage dealer, who is responsible for dealing damage and protecting his allies. Keep reading for a more detailed explanation.

Skill Configuration:

<1512>: Low; it encompasses the most basic protection mechanics, allowing Shion to reflect the damage blocked by Crystal Wall to the enemies. The damage he and his allies take will be reduced by 10% for the first 3 instances of attack. It also provides DMG Resistance or DMG Reduction based on the types of damage Shion takes, with a 60% chance of adding two stacks of Crystal Wall. This setup is best-suited for the support role.

<1515>: Medium; it provides maximum protection, Reflect Damage, and DMG Resistance buffs. Shion's DMG Reduction buffs lowers the damage he takes by 30% for the first 5 instances of attack. His Crystal Wall has a 100% chance of adding two stacks of Crystal Wall after his allies get attacked 5 times. This significantly increases the lineup's survivability. This setup is best-suited for the support role.

<1555>: High; this setup is for both the damage dealer and support role. Not only does it equip Shion with DMG Reduction, protection, Reflect Damage, and DMG Resistance buffs, but it also allows him to restrict the enemies with Stardust Revolution. Each time Crystal Wall successfully blocks damage dealt by the enemies, the damage dealt by Stardust Revolution will permanently increase by 10%. With this setup, Shion can finish off the enemies in the late game efficiently. It is a great configuration for a damage dealer.

<5555>: Max; if players have an abundance of Skill Tomes in hand, they may max his basic attack skill. When Shion launches basic attacks, he is able to recover 15% of his Max HP while dealing damage.

Recommended Cosmos

This set of Cosmos is made for Surplice Aries Shion in the support role. Presently, the best survival strategy in Galactic Duel involves defense and damage resistance. This lends Shion extremely high survivability and turns him into a tenacious, difficult opponent.

2. Baroque + Naga Pearls + Morning Glory + Fuchsia

This set of Cosmos is ideal for Surplice Aries Shion as a damage dealer. It ensures that he can deal considerable damage while providing support to the lineup. He is also able to control the situation on the battlefield during the late game and finish off enemies.

Sub-attribute Selection:

Solar: White Mist, Baroque (Speed, HP)

Lunar: Dual Defense, Morning Glory (Speed, HP)

Star: Gardenia, Naga Pearls (HP, P.ATK)

Legendary: Marsh Fairy, Fuchsia (Speed, HP)

Skill Analysis

Light-speed Fist - Underworld: This skill will restore 15% of Shion's Max HP while dealing damage to the enemies.

Nether Crystal Wall: It creates a shield for Shion's allies, blocking damage up to five times and reflecting said damage to the enemies. This skill plays a strategic role in the battle. Each time the shield successfully reflects damage, the damage dealt by Shion's Skill 3: Nether Stardust Revolution will increase by 10%.

Damage-blocking Shield: The instances of damage it blocks varies depending on the skills involved. For example, Thanatos' basic attack is considered 1 instance of damage; his Skill 2 is considered 5 instances of damage.

Nether Stardust Revolution: Before dealing damage to the enemies, this skill will absorb 6% of all the enemies' ATK and convert it to Shion's P.ATK, putting the target under Shutdown.

Nether Endless Starlight - Awakening: Shion's core passive skill. He will gain 30% DMG Reduction at the start of the battle. When his allies take damage, the skill effect will change according to the type of damage taken. After his allies are attacked 5 times, 2 stacks of Crystal Wall will be added to Shion, granting him the ability to protect his allies and himself.

Once awakened, Surplice Aries Shion enhances the survivability of his lineup. He is able to carry himself throughout the battle with ease even if he is singled out and attacked by the enemy lineup. While protecting his allies, Shion is also capable of dealing considerable damage. The use of Crystal Wall plays a strategic role in the battle. It is frequently triggered throughout the match, hence providing attack buffs to Shion swiftly and consistently. This allows him to finish off the enemies in the late game with higher efficiency.

Recommended Lineups

1. Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War, Surplice Aries Shion, Cancer Manigoldo, Divine Cloth Taurus Aldebaran, Aquarius Camus, Divine Cloth Aquarius Camus

This is the Ice Lineup. Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War does not need to be awakened and can be replaced by Divine Cloth Libra Dohko. Manigoldo needs to be covered in the first round. Surplice Aries Shion casts Crystal Wall to protect Aquarius Camus. Manigoldo casts Praesepe Underworld Waves, while Divine Cloth Taurus Aldebaran strikes the enemies and Aquarius Camus launches basic attack to add his seals. Divine Cloth Aquarius Camus deals lots of damage and casts Divine Ice to increase the number of rounds of Freeze.

2. Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War, Ophiuchus Odysseus, Surplice Aries Shion, Thanatos, Cancer Manigoldo, Oneiros

This lineup excels at both attack and defense. Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War and Ophiuchus Odysseus do not have to be awakened. Ophiuchus casts skills depending on the situation. Surplice Aries Shion protects Oneiros with shields. Thanatos launches basic attack. Oneiros limits the damage dealt by the enemies with his Skill 2. This lineup is vulnerable to control skills. Players are recommended to ban Saints who specialize in control effects.

3. Athena the Goddess of Wisdom and War, Hypnos, Ophiuchus Odysseus, Surplice Aries Shion, Thanatos, Hades Alone

This lineup is for highly experienced players. Athena supplies Energy. Hypnos and Ophiuchus restrict the enemies while boosting the team's survivability so that it can easily recover from disadvantageous situations. Surplice Shion protects Alone. Thanatos marks the enemies depending on the situation on the battlefield. Once Alone, who is protected by Crystal Wall, enters Hades form, the lineup can go all out for a win.

Awakened Surplice Aries Shion is a versatile Saint. Given his strategic value, he can be placed in a wide variety of lineups as either a support role or a damage dealer. Players of all levels of experience are free to train him for whichever positions. We hope that all players will benefit from this guide. That is all for Awakened Surplice Aries Shion's strategy guide. See you next time!
