More benefits, more surprises
Some time ago i wrote a guide about which skills to get in the Tower of Knowledge (ToK)
today we will be talking about which skills counter each other and we will see some interesting strategies to use them.
But first and foremost, here is some info for those ones who may be new to the game and have just started playing it.
What is the ToK?
The Tower of Knowledge will be crucial for developing your marches, here in fact you can learn new skills to add to your commanders.
There are four levels of skills:
- green
- blue
- purple
- gold
From green to gold, the green ones will give less power, while the gold ones, will give more power.
This doesn't mean though that having all gold skills will give you an advantage over teams with both purple and gold skills.
Costs to unlock and upgrade the skills
Each skill has 8 levels and the costs to upgrade them differ based on the skill's color.
Let's start from the green one:
Unlock : 1.000
from 1 to 2: 720
from 2 to 3: 1.440
from 3 to 4: 2.880
from 4 to 5: 5.400
from 5 to 6: 10.800
from 6 to 7: 21.600
from 7 to 8: 43.200
Now it's the blue turn:
Unlock : 2.000
from 1 to 2: 840
from 2 to 3: 1.680
from 3 to 4: 3.360
from 4 to 5: 6.300
from 5 to 6: 12.600
from 6 to 7: 25.200
from 7 to 8: 50.400
These are the costs for the purple ones:
Unlock : 8.000
from 1 to 2: 960
from 2 to 3: 1.920
from 3 to 4: 3.840
from 4 to 5: 7.200
from 5 to 6: 14.400
from 6 to 7: 28.800
from 7 to 8: 57.600
And last but not least, here are the gold ones
Unlock : 20.000
from 1 to 2: 1.200
from 2 to 3: 2.400
from 3 to 4: 4.800
from 4 to 5: 9.000
from 5 to 6: 18.000
from 6 to 7: 36.000
from 7 to 8: 72.000
Disclaimer: you can reset a skill, but it will be turned back to level 1 and you will get only 80% of the purple you spent to upgrade it.
Now time to see which skills counter each other!
Misleading vs Coercion
Misleading helps you dodging more hits, really nice to have against teams which have immortals that deal lots of damage
Once the battle starts, reduces the Accuracy Rate of all enemy units by 20%.
Coercion helps countering earth, holy and wind teams, which are focused on sustaining and dodging hits.
Once the battle starts, reduces the Dodge Rate of all enemy units by 20%.
Main Takeaway:
if your opponent runs Coercion, you need to use Misleading
if your opponent runs Misleading, you need to use Coercion
Weakness vs Malice
Weakness helps reducing the resilience of your opponents, so you can make them weaker against your critical damage.
Once the battle starts, reduces the Resilience Rate of all enemy units by 20%.
Malice helps against teams who are based on dealing critical damage.
Once the battle starts, reduces the Crit Rate of all enemy units by 20%
Main Takeaway:
if your opponent runs Weakness, you need to use Malice
if your opponent runs Malice, you need to use Weakness
Paralysis vs Berserk
Paralysis is a really nice skill to have against teams based on speed, you can use it to counter an Alex equipped with Berserk and a rapid exclusive artifact as well.
Once the battle starts, reduces the Attack Speed of all enemy units by 15%
Berserk is a must for lightning and earth teams.
Especially if you have a good rapid artifact on your Alex and Zenobia's unique artifact, to make your Alex attack speed skyrocket even more.
Increases the Attack Speed of all your unites by 10%, [...]
Main Takeaway:
if your opponent runs Berserk, you may need to use Paralysis
if your opponent runs Paralysis, you need to use Berserk
Final thoughts
I'm not a Paralysis fan, in fact i haven't unlocked it, but it could be an interesting way to counter Alex's exclusive artifact.
Berserk can be nice as well, but i wouldn't use it in a mix earth team, maybe for a pure earth team may be a really good choice.
Hope this post helped you understand more about the different auras and how they counter each other ^^
