Seventh season of the Siege of Winterfell is entering its final stages- only one match to go and all to play for! All alliances are preparing themselves for a final onslaught of earning rewards and generating even more legendary exploits that will be remembered forever more in the browser game: Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming!

The last match of this season’s Siege of Winterfell requires the two opposing alliances who are pitted against each other to earn as many points as possible to secure a victory against their foe. Earning points in the Siege of Winterfell can be obtained in a variety of ways. Killing and healing troops is one way to earn individual points plus occupying building areas for as long as possible for their alliances. One other way to earn points is by delivering the periodic treasures that are dropped by the central building called Winterfell hence the name of the event, Siege of Winterfell. Once the treasure has been dropped it is up to a player to use their army deployment to collect the treasure and take it to  their own alliance’s occupied area which can be any of the buildings on the Siege of Winterfell event map (the small box showing in Image 1 in the top right corner of the screen of the game).  Earning lots of points in twenty thousand point increments will grant players of an alliance with extra rewards from each alliance reward stage up to a value of eighty thousand points. The valor points that are earned during a match can be used to improve the commanders. Simon Blackmyre and Mengo amongst other rewards available in the valor shop where valor points are the exchange currency used.

Registration for the last match of this Season’s Siege of Winterfell began in earnest at 0630am server time for ACM and their opponents QDG or QU33NsDRAGONS. The registration time for the Siege of Winterfell like Alliance Conquest is thirty minutes to give both alliances involved in the match time for their players who want to play Siege of Winterfell in this instance to join in ready to start playing  the match at 0700am server time sharp. For ACM, twelve players joined in whereas for QDG it was six players. Duke Nacoya felt that ACM stood a reasonable chance from a number point of view of winning so that only troop appearances, dragons and number of troops would be the deciding factors for the outcome of the match.

Image 1: ACM on the move to a building

At 0803am server time (GMT time), ACM had three buildings unlike QDG who had secured four buildings. A minute later, ACM rectified that situation by occupying another building to make it four buildings for each alliance. The difference between ACM and QDG was that QDG were occupying hotspring and the armory buildings which give the players of QDG extra bonuses to their armies being used during this match of the Siege of Winterfell. So a  minute later, ACM occupied the armory knocking out QDG which was great work by ACM. At 0806am GMT time, QDG regained the armory thus occupying six buildings in comparison to ACM’s paltry four buildings. At 0812am GMT server time, the mighty player from ACM called Bytor retakes the hotspring from QDG and subsequently each alliance now holds five buildings each. Two minutes later, ACM has seven buildings and Lord Maarten from ACM is fighting heroic battles with his armies all over the Siege of Winterfell event map. Way to go Lord Maarten!

At 0823am GMT server time, ACM are still fighting valiantly (Image 2) despite being behind on points. The point deficit of ACM to QDG is six thousand points. A few minutes later, ACM is occupying seven buildings whereas QDG has three buildings but have delivered one of the treasures dropped from Winterfell to a QDG occupied building. About ten minutes later, ACM obtains twenty thousand points thus giving all ACM players in this match of the Siege of Winterfell the first stage of the alliance reward stage. Excellent teamwork ACM!

Five minutes later, ACM gains another building making it four occupied buildings.  A minute later, both alliances have five buildings each on the Siege of Winterfell event map. With sixteen minutes left of matchplay, QDG reaches forty thousand points but ACM is holding eight buildings leaving QDG holding two buildings. At 0850am GMT server time, both alliances had five buildings each and ACM had reached thirty thousand points. WOW!

A minute later, ACM has six buildings unlike QDG who have four buildings. Then a minute later, ACM gains another building. Despite losing, ACM fought well and looked forward to meeting QDG again!
