A new season for the Siege of Winterfell began today in earnest with some new additional features! The first major new feature is that each player who participates in the new Siege of Winterfell matches can use their dragons, for the majority of players it will be just two but there will be a few sapphire dragons taking part too. For most of ACM, the players will be using Darkfyre and Shadowmoon only. The best part for ACM is that these two dragons (Image 1 and Image 2) are mainly at level 60 for the members of ACM.

With the inclusion of dragons, extra total attack and defense percentages are applied to the real-time army that a dragon is added to. This additional feature can help many alliances get that edge they may not have had before, especially if the commanders deployed with each of the three armies have gold quality and four star awakened ones too. How these features will play out ACM will discover as time draws ever onward alongside fellow alliances in the event, Siege of Winterfell, an event which is part of the Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming browser game.

The aim of the Siege of Winterfell event is to earn more points than the opposition, another alliance. Earning points can be determined by how long buildings are occupied by armies of players in an alliance and delivering treasure to an alliance-held area on the event map of the Siege of Winterfell. Each building on the event map opens up at different times during the course of play including Winterfell which drops a treasure for a player to pick up and take to their own alliance-held area for several thousand points each time it is released. New treasures from Winterfell are generally released about four times during a match and can decide matches.

The time slot chosen by Duke Nacoya from ACM was 0700am server time out of the choices of 0100am, 1300 and 1900 server times. Before 0700am server time, at 0630am server time, there is an opportunity for all players in both alliances appearing in that match of the Siege of Winterfell, a chance to join in the forthcoming match. For ACM who reside in League A, one of the top 401-1000 players category, eleven players joined whereas their opposing alliance had an additional player join in making it twelve players. The opposing alliance to ACM was FWR or POWERSHOT from K227. FWR were relative unknowns for ACM and also there was no knowledge of K227 either.

At 0701am server time, ACM captured two buildings which were the same for FWR making it four out of ten buildings held by an alliance. Then at 0704am server time, each alliance had three buildings each.

After nearly ten minutes of play, FWR started pulling ahead points wise. FWR had six buildings whereas ACM had only four buildings. The point difference was sixty points at this stage between ACM and FWR. At 0815am server time, the buildings held were different again. ACM had a total of seven buildings whereas FWR only had three buildings. Despite all these buildings held, ACM were still thirteen hundred points behind. At the halfway mark, ACM had lost four buildings and FWR had the other seven buildings available and were nearly ten thousand points ahead of ACM. FWR, at this point, had also successfully delivered a treasure from Winterfell to one of their occupied buildings. ACM were working towards achieving the first alliance reward point stage of twenty thousand points (Image 4).

In the next eight, excruciating minutes, ACM made a comeback! ACM holds eight buildings whereas FWR holds two buildings. ACM reached the twenty thousand points they wanted and were now working towards the thirty thousand points reward stage. FWR had already achieved thirty thousand points and were heading towards earning forty thousand points. FWR delivers yet another treasure from Winterfell too with twenty minutes left of the match. With four minutes left, ACM does reach the elusive forty thousand points whereas their competitor has surpassed the fifty thousand points. Image 5 reveals the final score, ACM suffer a defeat and the mighty FWR reaches sixty thousand points in this Siege of Winterfell match. Congratulations to FWR until we meet again!
