The leaves on the trees had started to turn golden, when the twenty fourth season of Alliance Conquest descended on Westeros. MAJOr was sprawled lazily in the Great Hall of HHH, smoking his pipe and wondering without any real anxiety, which opponent his alliance would draw for the premiere match.

HHH had been fortified in comparison with last season with players renowned in Westeros, such as BlackBear and Matjenin, but they still retained their relaxed attitude which suited MAJOr’s disposition and needs just fine.

What do you mean we got TNI? The HHH shotcaller shouted to the maester that had just brought him the raven message.
Most were startled enough to look in surprise, but MAJOr could certainly understand his shotcaller’s disappointment. They had come across TNI recently in the Siege of Winterfell competition, and the experience had not been pretty.

But as they walked down to take their place in the battlefield, the same thought occurred to both of them. Would the result be the same considering the new recruits of HHH had been in TNI, when TNI defeated them? Perhaps they would swing the scales in HHH’s favor this time.
MAJOr tried to find a spot in the middle where he would be able to send his troops to the rallies without having to walk from one end of their camp to the other, and he noticed to his satisfaction that HHH had actually mustered one more warrior than TNI.
The trumpets signalled the start of the battle and the racers, rusty from their long absence, started running unsure of themselves. But they needed not to have worried. Milfhunter of TNI may have snagged the covetous Warrior, but both the outposts and Mother had been grabbed from HHH.

Will we proceed to swapping? Asked of MAJOr a seasoned warrior who had joined HHH with the Blackbear crew.
MAJOr tried and failed to contain a snort that escaped him, upon hearing that question.
That would be a no, my good sir, he replied, trying hard to appear solemn.
The warrior looked at MAJOr as if he were speaking in a different language he did not understand. On the other hand, TNI had no trouble deciding on their next step and started rallying Apix in Mother. The barrage of rallies was swift and as HHH did not manage to send enough reinforcements. Mother fell to enemy hands.

HHH tried to keep the buildings they still had, but by the time ports opened, they had nothing left. Milfhunter, who seemed to be on fire, snagged Targaryen Port while Amai Amai, managed to keep HHH alive by capturing Lannister Port.
Defend the port, damn it, MAJOr yelled to his fellow warriors. We only have one building, how hard is it to keep it full of troops, he pondered.
A new wave of attacks arrived and as if it were predestined the port fell.

The situation was grim, but like a ray of pure sunshine Jason appeared.
Leave it to me, my friends, he said, exuding a calm aura.
True to his words he unleashed a series of quick attacks which subdued the holder, and soon Mother was wearing the HHH banner.

Good start, MAJOr called, despite not feeling very optimistic about the final outcome.
And this will be a better one, declared Nikuman confidently and copying Jason as best as he could, managed to get a port.
Casterly Rock was approaching and the HHH shotcaller was worried. His best warrior was Jason but he had buried himself in Mother. The bubble fell, and to everyone’s surprise and the shotcaller’s immense relief, it was Jason who captured it.
Well the Mother take me, murmured Nikuman, did he discover how to be in two places at once?
Major laughed heartily and showed him the Mother who had passed in the hands of TNI again, after Jason had dropped it. For the first time, smiles appeared on the HHH side.
The shotcaller ,heartened, called for rallies to the port. They had no coordination, but the HHH leads had heart, and the port’s defense crumbled.

That could put us back in the game, commented the seasoned warrior to MAJOr. Help me defend our buildings, he beseeched MAJOr. Like spoke to like, and they found themselves, finding side by side, and somehow not letting TNI come too close to HHH.
Stubbornly he healed again and again but the knowledge he was not alone was giving him courage.
Will it be the mines? Asked MAJOr’s companion laconically.
Yes, but at least we only need one.
The bubbles of the mines dissolved and once more the racers set off, carrying on their backs everyone’s hopes. And even though Babyrossa grabbed Targaryen Mine, Blackbear secured the Lannister for HHH. And Blackbear would not be kicked.

That was a close one, MAJOr told his new friend as they sank down to the grass exhausted.
The HHH shotcaller who was passing their way, overheard them, and sank down next to them.
Excellent defense today you two, very nicely done indeed. And just for your info, privates, close ones, are the only ones worth the trouble, he said and winked at them.
MAJOr wanted to contradict him and say he preferred to lead an easy life and someone to spare him the exhaustion in his ripe old age, but he suddenly laughed heartily.
Who was he kidding? It was such games that kept him alive, and prayed fervently to many more to come…..
