Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Over the past few weeks, I have been very active with my invasions, reaching the highly contested second place in the individual merit ranking. I do not do this because of the ranking itself, but for fun. However, when I saw that I was very close to Candy, who is the greatest hunter in the history of this game, I felt motivated to make an effort this week.

I was once again checking my reports and also my bookmarks. And I thought this was going to be one of those nights when I would spend almost an hour trying to find something worth the scroll invested. But it was actually pretty quick.

The PHR Alliance in Kingdom 273 has been on my target list for some time. Over the months, I have had few opportunities to go there to attack someone. Do not get me wrong, I have nothing personal against that alliance. Being a merit hunter, I cannot make any exceptions, except for my friends' alliance, of course.

The problem was that I did not have time to prepare. When I find a target, the first thing I do is look at their power to see if it is worth jumping with a scout account and gathering information. But when I thought about doing that, I noticed that another player was already scouting. So I had two options: either leave him behind or risk jumping there and attacking him.

I had to rely on luck, because if he had few troops or was a bow trap, I would be in trouble.

I jumped to the kingdom and launched the first attack without knowing if my troops would return.

I did not have time to follow the protocol. I would normally park my castle at least 200 kilometers away from my target and attack using speed-up boots. But knowing that another hunter was ready to steal my target, I was forced to place my castle right next to Ozztrich.

When the troops hit, I noticed that I had lost a considerable part of my troops. And at that moment, I thought I was in trouble. But when I opened the report, I saw that Ozztrich had no synergy, not even half of his advisors and weapons equipped, as well as a strange mix of troops. And I had lost that number of troops because of the fortifications on his wall.

With only a 13-second difference, the second attack hit, eliminating practically Ozztrich’s entire army and giving me double the result.

My troops returned, and I made sure to hide all of them. As usual, I stayed in the same position without hiding myself. I normally do this to find out which kingdoms are going to attack me and which ones are not. This is very important for future invasions.

Do not be mistaken; I had not left my kingdom to attack Ozztrich. I was coming from a sequence of invasions, and my last one had been an hour earlier in Kingdom 247. If you read my stories, you know that I have already invaded that kingdom a few times, and in some of them I suffered retaliation, such as a blockade, a bow trap, or even a direct attack.

It was around 10 at night, and one of their players was vulnerable on the left side of King's Landing. I went there, scouted him, gathered the necessary information, and was satisfied with the number of troops. I saw that some of the players were online, but that did not stop me. I jumped to the kingdom and started the attacks.

Once again, I left the protocol aside. I placed my castle next to OmuldinStele and attacked him from there. From atop my horse, I shouted for my troops to finish it as quickly as possible. We were on enemy territory, and reinforcements or retaliation could arrive at any moment. I kept watching that battle until the battlefield became silent. My troops returned, and the result was very satisfying.

When I do not follow the protocol, I try to make the attacks as quickly as I can. And, with a 13-second difference, the army advanced for the second time. But now, from a distance, it was possible to hear cheers of celebration. And from afar, one of my commanders shouted: “My lord, we captured him. He is our prisoner now.”

The fact that I was not following the protocol bothered me a little, but at the same time, I was overconfident, even though I had a slightly bad feeling. The troops returned, and I jumped to a new position on the map. Even though I was exposing myself like crazy, the enemies barely had time to react. A 15 to 20-second window is very little, and by the time they are ready, I am no longer there.

When I finished the two invasions, it was already past midnight, and it was time to go to sleep.

I ended my day very satisfied and relieved. I am only 21 million merit away from becoming the top merit hunter in the ranking. And I truly believe that the next story will be about that.

If you are following the journey and enjoyed this story, I appreciate you reading it.
