💠Introduction
What’s up, folks? Welcome back to my Illusion Battlefield (IB) series, where I take a closer look at different matches. IB is different from the IB League tournament in that you will use your normal teams, skill sets, talents, and decoration skins, so strength is extremely relevant. The mode is also much slower-paced. Relocations and marching speed are slower. The event is one of the most entertaining events in Infinity Kingdom, and players enjoy spectating, almost like a sporting event. In this article, I’m going to take a closer look at the regular season match between Server 73’s Snugglebunnies(BUNS) and Server 191’s Guerreros Unidos(Inka).

💠Overview
Inka is one of those alliances that consistently makes the playoffs despite lacking the attendance and firepower of the stronger mid-tier IB and IBL teams. They are not particularly dominant, but they are reliable, organized, and dedicated enough to remain competitive every season. BUNS, meanwhile, has been hurt by KvK consolidation, with many of their members playing in their sister alliance, leaving them short-handed compared to their usual standards. Given the current state of both rosters, Inka should have the advantage simply through superior attendance and the ability to maintain pressure across more objectives.

💠Tower 1
BUNS sent just 2 players to Tower 1 while Inka committed 4, with all six players relocating directly next to the objective. Given their attendance disadvantage, BUNS should not have been trying to contest all three objectives. Their best chance was to concentrate on two towers and create local numbers advantages rather than spread themselves thin. By committing resources to more than two towers, BUNS risked fighting an uphill battle at an objective where Inka already held the numerical edge. Therefore, BUNS needed to send more players to Tower 1.

💠Tower 4
BUNS sent two players to the outskirts of Tower 4 since they lacked favorable spawns near the objective. Inka committed 3 players, though one overlapped a teammate next to the tower, making their setup less efficient. I actually like BUNS’ decision to contest Tower 4 rather than the Central Tower. With so few players available, they would likely have been overwhelmed in the center long before the tower opened. By focusing on a side objective, BUNS at least gave themselves a chance to secure an early tower and avoid a drawn-out fight against superior numbers.

💠Central Tower
BUNS sent a single player to the Central Tower when they would have been better off conceding it entirely. Inka committed 4 players, giving them an overwhelming advantage that should allow them to quickly eliminate the lone defender and establish control of the area. Given BUNS' attendance deficit, their win condition depended on securing early control of Towers 1 and 4. Splitting resources into the center only weakened their chances at the side objectives where they actually had a path to compete.

💠Altars
Inka sent one player to the Moon Altar.
💠Home Towers
BUNS stationed two guards at their home tower. One guard is enough, especially since they were down members. Inka had three at theirs.
💠Play-by-Play
At Tower 1, BUNS got off to a strong start by destroying two Inka relocations, but they struggled to finish off the lone remaining defender. Sensing the opportunity slipping away, BUNS sent two more players to reinforce the fight. However, Inka's sole player managed to zero BUNS' strongest member and was soon reinforced by two teammates of his own. From that point on, Inka controlled the pace of the battle, repeatedly keeping BUNS at arm's length and away from the objective. Despite BUNS continuing to send reinforcements, they could never break through, and Inka eventually captured Tower 1 at the 21-minute mark.

At Tower 4, Inka struggled to convert their positional advantage into control of the objective. Even though they were closer to the tower, BUNS repeatedly interrupted their capture attempts from the outskirts, preventing them from securing the tower early. Over time, however, Inka steadily wore down BUNS' prosperity and eliminated the defenders one by one. Once the area was finally cleared, Inka captured Tower 4 at the 18-minute mark without any remaining opposition.

In the center, Inka’s four players quickly eliminated the lone BUNS defender and reinforced the area with an additional guard. At the 13-minute mark, however, Inka rotated two players away from the Central Tower, giving BUNS an opportunity to interfere. A BUNS player moved in and repeatedly disrupted Inka’s capture attempts before finally being zeroed eight minutes later. That delay allowed another BUNS member to relocate into the center and continue stalling. Just as Inka was about to secure the objective, the original BUNS player returned and interrupted the capture again. Through a series of well-timed rotations, BUNS repeatedly delayed the inevitable, but Inka eventually broke through and captured the Central Tower at the 37-minute mark.

At the 9-minute mark, an Inka player relocated to BUNS’ home tower, where two guards were stationed, but BUNS failed to destroy the incoming relocation. Before long, a second Inka player joined the invasion, and together they zeroed both defenders before stealing the tower. At the same time, BUNS launched a counterplay of their own by teleporting a player to Tower 2. The lone guard was too focused on attacking the invader and failed to defend the objective, allowing BUNS to steal the tower in return. However, BUNS never managed to regain control of the other objectives, and after prolonged pressure, they eventually lost Tower 2 as well.

💠Summary
Inka won 100,000 to 17,400, with Sha Mani earning MVP. Playing short-handed, BUNS needed a much more decisive early-game strategy. Their best opportunity was at Tower 1, where they had to find a way to rally and eliminate Inka’s lone surviving defender before reinforcements arrived. To their credit, BUNS did an excellent job delaying Inka’s captures, preventing them from securing any tower for roughly the first 15 minutes and buying valuable time. However, as more Inka players gradually entered the match, the numbers advantage became overwhelming and BUNS could no longer keep up.
