Genesis

I have always wondered about Genesis skill. It says the skill costs no rage but then says gain 45 rage and all friendly units gain blah, blah, blah. So who is gaining the 45 rage....Genesis only or all friendly units? I've tried to look while playing but it all move so fast I can't figure it out. Thanks!
