Sow QGD vs DUM

Evening everyone (thought this would be more accurate since I always drop at 2, then again you’ll probably read this in the morning so I guess good morning is order). We are today for the last match of this Siege of Winterfell’s season, sixth’s game for both teams which will be looking to finish their regular season with a win. Facing off : Queensguard (QGD) on the Stark side and AllForDum (DUM) on the Greyjoy side. QGD are strongly looking for win so as to not finish their SoW season on a negative record, remember they are now 2-3 entering this match.  

The countdown comes to an end, only 7 players are in for DUM while QGD have an impressive 38. No chance they’re taking it easy though, just last game they lost to a heavily outnumbered enemy. That being said, game’s on!! 

QGD go straight for the buildings closest to them and take both Stark outposts without troubles. Then they go on to Armory and Hot Spring as per usual. For DUM though, quite an unusual tactic they use. They’ve decided to leave the Greyjoy outposts alone and not take them, instead they went straight for Armory and Hot Spring. Some are left at the strongholds that are not yet open but most are reinforcing Armory and Hot Spring as fights have already broken out. Xyrox has started fighting at Hot Spring alone against a DUM players. At Armory, CobraAvenger and Serbon of DUM are fighting LordLionel, Gohar I and angryboyMax. They are outnumbered but maybe they can pull off an upset, time will tell. 

The fight goes on and QGD are pushed to a rather uncomfortable position. Though they have more points and more buildings, they are losing at both Armory and Hot Spring and that is weighing heavily on morale. The strongholds open up during those fights and just like they did with the outposts, DUM does not go for them. QGD tales the Starks strongholds and even Greyjoy stronghold 1 by sending one march deep into enemy lines. As for Hot Spring, two more players sent marches to help there and it worked perfectly as Xyrox is taken out with only one march left, so is Igris Red2, leaving gray bear to fight alone against 3 opponents. At Armory, Serbon and CobraAvenger have been supported by Minh Khoi and are now the ones with a number advantage against the QGD forces. Only PavlB and Gohar I have any troops left fighting against DUM though if not helped they will not win. 

 Greyjoy stronghold 1 is taken one march of LordLionel even if just for a moment, it helped create a diversion and split apart a bit of the DUM forces. On top of that, the Greyjoy outpost 2 and Greyjoy stronghold 2 are also taken by QGD, both of which have stayed in QGD’s control and not been taken back by DUM as they couldn’t spare the troops necessary to do so. On the flip side though, DUM has attacked and gained control of Stark stronghold 1 through their player Minh Khoi. Also, Hot Spring is still theirs, fierce fighting, reinforcements, all for naught. The QGD players are starting to feel it might be useless to fight at Hot Spring head on as after having done so since the start of the game, they’ve lost not once but twice. Anyways, the first WF resources are coming and need to make them theirs that is more important.  

As the first resources drop, most of the buildings controlled by DUM are left empty and QGD makes use of that as they go and take Armory thanks. Xyrox’s last troop is still fighting at Hot Spring but will not last long as it is alone and outnumbered. As for the resources, they ar picked up by LordLionel and taken to Stark stronghold 2, DUM fought a lot to get it back but even though they were able to beat the carrier, another one replaced him instantly and brought the resources home. That makes the score 19,000 for QGD against 5,300 for DUM. They may pose a problem when fighting but their lack of numbers can clearly be felt in their total points. 

Another WF resources appear and again LordLionel takes it and runs towards a QGD building with it. While this is happening, QGD were able to finally take Hot Spring though this time it was easy as it was empty. As for the not so easy ones, DUM has taken Greyjoy stronghold 2. Serbon and IZUMI G have also taken Stark stronghold 2 for DUM. It seems like these two with Mr Wick are the heavy hitters of DUM, they’re always the one taking all the buildings. 

Lots of empty buildings are taken such as Greyjoy outpost 1, Greyjoy stronghold 2 and Greyjoy stronghold 1 for DUM. For QGD, they take back the Stark stronghold 2 that was left alone by DUM. Not an end to their problems though sadly the second Stark outpost is attacked and taken by IZUMI G. Also, Minh Khoi is attacking the Stark stronghold 1. Lots of fights in a lot of places but can DUM handle them all with such thin forces ? Can QGD handle them all while being overpowered ? Lots of questions and for now no answers, we will see at the end of the match. 

The Stark outpost 2 and Stark stronghold 1 are easily taken back as they were left alone. But the reason they were left alone is because the last WF resources are dropping in less than a minute before the end of the game and both alliances are trying to gain as many points as possible so they focus on their last opportunity of making a big change with the 5 000 points the resources give.

CobraAvenger is the one to take the resources at WF and starts going towards the Greyjoy stronghold 2. Immediately followed by a huge march of DUM and QGD players all fighting against each other trying to either defend or kill the carrier. By the time they arrive on the ridge on the right hand side of the map not far from the Greyjoy stronghold, QGD are finally able to kill the carrier and LordLionel takes the resources from the ground and starts running toward the same place. Why ? Well because while they were fighting here, the other QGD members went to fight at the Greyjoy stronghold 2 and have almost taken it, maybe not an overtake that is going to last but as long as it holds 30 seconds then they’ve won!! When arriving at the last corner, LordLionel is defeated and CobraAvenger takes the resources again heading also for the same building. Sadly for him, the building is now to QGD and they do not get the points for bringing the resources. He tries running around but is caught very fast, killed and the resources are dropped once again. As the QGD forces fight to take it against DUM who are giving it their all for the last points;;;; END !!! The game has come to an end and no one has been able to claim the resources. Quite an unsatisfying end but the 1 hour is up and so it has been done. 

Quite a huge win for QGD who almost get their 80k points but miss them by less than a thousand. This brings them to an even record to end this SoW season, they can be rather happy for it as the season has been full of up and downs with huge fights and sometimes huge losses. As for DUM, their lack of players clearly showed as they couldn’t spare enough troops to fight at every building. Though they would win their fights, they couldn’t b everywhere and that is how QGD won, also they lost every single WF resources which clearly helped widen the gap between them and QGD.
