Here is a comprehensive guide for Alliance Conquest in the game Game of Thrones: Winter Is Coming, covering how the event works, strategies, and tips to help your alliance succeed.

What is Alliance Conquest?

Alliance Conquest is a cross-server event where two alliances (randomly assigned as either Lannisters or Targaryens) fight to control and occupy key locations on a special real-time battleground map, which results in point gain. The event lasts 60 minutes, with alliances competing to earn the most points by capturing and laying siege to opposing alliance buildings. The alliance with the highest score will win the battle (if the result is even, the Alliance with the highest power will win by default).

Each alliance can bring up to 4,000,000 troops per lord and up to 5,000,000 in Playoffs, including all available commanders and battle dragons

How to navigate in-game to view the cross-event page?

You can navigate to the page by clicking on the cross-server page icon. This icon is located top right of your world view or inner-city view.

Once you enter the cross-server page, you will see on the left a sidebar that allows you to navigate through all the cross-server events currently active and their timers when they become active.

When you have clicked on the Alliance Conquest tab, it will show you a page where you will see a countdown that predicts the start of the Announcement Phase from Alliance Conquest. Once the Announcement phase is over and the Registration Phase starts, it will be the Alliance Leader and officials' duty to register the alliance you belong to for the event.

Registration Phase

Requirement: The top 50 Alliances with the highest Power in each fully-open Kingdom can sign up to participate.

The registration time will last for 24Hours before the match day.

Registration Process: The Alliance Leader and officials can register. They have to choose the Match time on the Match Day (the next day).

Attention: From the registration until the end of the match, all Alliance members can no longer relocate, and the leader can no longer dismiss an Alliance or pass the leader position to another player.

After registering your alliance for the first match, your alliance will be categorized into Superleague, A League, and B League, according to this plan.

If you have a change of heart and want to play in a lower-ranked League, this is possible, but it comes with a price; think it through before you do this.

The alliance has the possibility to choose a more difficult level, which has an impact on your rewards, but be warned, this is not always recommended.

What preparations do I have to make?

Once you have entered the battlefield, all the buffs are locked in. Any new buffs you activate after entering will not apply so it is important to do your prep work.

  • Sept of seven buff(s) to activate

  • Make sure you recall your army from expeditions
  • Activate Army Size buff - (Warriors summoning buff) 20% - 50% - 75% - 100%
  • Activate a Total Attack or Total Defense buff
  • Execute an enemy Lord to receive the Hall of Faces buff
  • Set your gear, talents, and buffs before entering; you cannot change these once on the battlefield.
  • Make sure you have enough troops from the highest Tier that you have to play with to cover 4,000,000 troops that you can take into the battlefield.
  • Go to the Maester Tower, the subcategory Alliance Conquest Military-Command, where you can research Troop Size. On the maximum level, it gives you 1,000,000 troops extra in Alliance Conquest.
  • Configure your fight formation and your advisors in the Military Grounds - Preset World Map Battle
  • Apply your weapons in commander view on your commander(s), which you will use in battle.
  • Buy Race Boots, which you can find in the Diamond Shop under the tab Speed Ups.  These are important to be able to reinforce occupied buildings in time.
  • Assembly Bugle, it can turn the tide in battle at key moments. You can manipulate the hit order when sending multiple rallies towards a building, or hitting a building sooner than your opponent can reinforce a targeted building, therefore a luxury, yet a must-have in important battles.

Strategy and Tips

Having a good strategy in your battle plan is important; it can enhance your approach to Alliance Conquest greatly. You can improve the synergy between Players and their Voice leads, reducing time loss overall is the key that leads you towards victory!

Tactical Tips

  • Organize rallies for key buildings at the match start, with your biggest rally joining last to maximize the attack.
  • Use speed-ups strategically to reinforce or capture contested zones.
  • Healing is fast and partially free in Alliance Conquest, don’t be afraid to send repeated marches!
  • Communicate a plan with your alliance about who will focus on which objectives, who is the rally lead, and who runs support.
  • Only the alliance leader can use Alliance Tokens for purchases such as healing speeds, so coordinate supply usage.
  • Know your enemy, always find out who their strongest players are to exploit their weaknesses.

Make a battle roster plan

1) Assign, per 2-3 columns,0 a troop type according to your Alliance preference

  • Can let a player join a rally without wasting time searching for a rally with his troop type.

2) Assign Squad/Rally Leader(s) per column(s) and place the players with the matching troop types in their column

  • Reduces march time to join a rally.

3) Have a Voice Lead and a backup voice lead

  • Deepening the “cohesion” between voice leads and players on the battlefield is important to reduce overall time loss, adding reaction speed and communication.

Preparation for players

Prepare your Presets!

You need to have an Attack Preset and also 3 Rally Join Presets. Why? The reason is simple: you do not have to start choosing your dragon and troops in the heat of the battle.

Castle Exteriors for non-rally players

Grand Keep is the number one choice to choose for every player who does not do rallies on buildings. Together with a Hospital Healing buff, you reduce your cost significantly.

How Are Points Earned?

All points (except for the mines) are cumulative and cannot be deducted during the battle.

Initial Points

  • Placing your city on the battlefield.

In Alliance Conquest, you earn points by placing your castle on the roster. Once you do it, you will notice points increase; this is called initial points. You can increase these initial points by entering the Maester Tower and researching the category

  • Research Alliance Conquest Military Pre-Battle Preparation.
  • Maximizing the Pre-Battle Preparation level will give you 100 additional points, which may not seem significant, yet if all participants were to do this, it would be quite a substantial bonus.
  • A higher-ranked Alliance will receive more Initial Points compared to those who are ranked lower.
  • Battle Points can be earned by defeating an enemy for the first time, those points are limited to the Initial points that the opposing side is bringing into the battle, these points fluctuate due to the targeted player his Alliance Conquest Military research thus it’s important if your alliance has researched the research to full, that they hide their troops (using fake rally) well during the match to prevent gifting your opponents unnecessarily points.

Everything you need to know about buildings

  • First occupation > points! (does not count for mines)
  • Holding buildings > points!

All buildings count points according to the time they are occupied. They can have a max capacity of 25 players. For the Lannister mine and the Targaryen mine, there is a maximum limit of points that can be earned per building. Each player who enters generates 40/min. The more players in the mine, the faster the 9000 available points can be mined. It is therefore recommended to fill them so that you give your opponent less time to respond.

Building Bond Strategy

In addition to knowing how many points buildings yield, it is important to know what connections they have and what points and buffs they collect when they are occupied. It is therefore advisable that you talk with your alliance to devise a clear strategy about which buildings you want to target, as one buff may be more useful than another for your battle plan. So focus on high-value buildings and make sure you can keep them for as long as possible.

TIP: Blessings of the Seven + any outpost =(1,2,3) Total base attack = 25, Healing speed 75%.

It’s often a good choice to put your strongest players at Tower of the Warrior, Temple of the Mother, and Outpost, as holding these buildings is the key to occupying and holding Casterly Rock, as well as the mines.

  •  A detailed schedule of the points and opening times of the buildings.

Stratagems - how do they work?

Stratagems can be used in battle to adapt your change of tactics even better. One might be better than the other. Depending on your situation, you can choose between 4 passive and 4 active Stratagems, but be warned, you can only choose 3. Once the match starts, you cannot exchange them for another Stratagem.

Passive Stratagem - applies for the whole duration of the match.

Active Stratagems - applies only when you have filled the Energy Bar to full, which has generated an Energy Diamond. This Energy Diamond is an exchange token that you can cast the Active Stratagem manually in a Local Area to become active.

Energy Diamond Production

  • Energy diamonds generate methods are
  • Automatically over time
  • Healing allied troops

Rewards

Points scored earn seasonal and match rewards, including castle exteriors, materials, valor points, commander medals, lord titles, speed-ups, and more.

  • Both individual and alliance performance determine the quality and quantity of rewards at season’s end.
  • All alliance members from both sides will gain rewards after the battle.

Maximum rewards to win

Both sides will get a reward after the battle, yet these slightly differ depending on the outcome.

These Match point rewards are earned by Alliance Battle Points; they count for everyone in your Alliance.

After winning at least 3 games, every participant in the Alliance will receive additional rewards.

The top 3 players with the most Kill Points will receive these rewards, under the condition that they are residing within the Alliance at the moment the season closes off.

Alliances will receive Ranking Rewards based on their season ranking. Rewards will be given to 1-100 ranked.

Players will also receive rewards based on their position in the Season Ranking Eliminations. Rewards will be given to the 1-100 ranked.

The Valor Points we can spend in the shop for various things, such as the recently added Commander Bjorn.
