Kany's Great Invasion of Kingdom 268 part 2

The plains of Kingdom 268 had returned to calm since the fall of J0RAH. The ashes had barely settled when rumors began to circulate about a new unprotected castle. In this world peace never lasts long.

In the distance a scout spotted a massive castle with no visible bubble.

The name engraved on the banner left no doubt: Octola, another player from 1KS, the dominant alliance in King's Landing. With a power rating of 1.9 billion an imposing castle but without the caution that usually accompanies this kind of strength.

This kind of mistake always attracts attention.

Some would pass by out of respect or fear of reprisals. But Kany had no such hesitation. An exposed fortress is an opportunity not a threat.

The scouts sent out on reconnaissance quickly confirmed the information :

On the wall were cavalry commanders with Leila positioned in defense, but there was no clear synergy between the commanders. The whole thing seemed disorderly. An experienced player with 560 million merits but whose formation did not seem to be aligned between defense and attack.

Inside, there are 24 million troops a large number but not necessarily well organized.

Kany focused on preparations leaving nothing to chance.

The horses were checked the armor cleaned the swords sharpened and orders given to the cavalry. The elite units took their places in formation. The dragon was also prepared not to reduce the castle to ashes but to provide the necessary cover during the assault.

This kind of operation doesn't just depend on brute force. It's all about timing reading the terrain and discipline. Kany's experience spoke for itself : he could spot a poorly prepared castle even before the first strike.

The scouts continued to observe: no movement on the ramparts, no sign of activity and no troops visible outside.

Everything indicated that Octola was unaware of anything.

⚔ First attack

The cavalry moved forward, forming a compact line. The wind kicked up dust muffling the sound of hooves. The dragon made a quick first pass breaking the concentration of the archers on the towers.

The impact was immediate and the castle gates shook from the force of the collision. The defenders retaliated but too slowly. The disorder in their formations was apparent from the very first seconds. Arrows flew haphazardly and the catapults had not yet found their firing angle.

Results:

Victory for Kany: 47 million casualties and 239 million for Octola.

Octola's troops had held their ground for a moment but without coordination they quickly collapsed.

⚔ Second attack

After a brief moment of reorganization Kany's troops set off again.

The wind was blowing from the north perfect for dispersing the smoke and concealing their advance. The next assault was launched from a different angle taking advantage of a less fortified flank.

Octola's defenders attempted a countermeasure but their lack of coordination was still evident. Internal formations were moving in all directions. Some archers fired at their own lines in the confusion.

The battle did not last long.

Results:

33 million casualties for Kany and 106 million for Octola.

The ramparts began to collapse revealing flames through the breaches with each wave further weakening the defenses.

⚔ Third attack

The third offensive was carefully planned. The dragon rose high to cover the central area. The objective was clear: to reach the heart of the castle where the last reserves of troops were massed.

The impact was even more violent than the previous ones.

The main gates were pulverized under the combined pressure of the cavalry and the siege engines. Inside Octola's troops were still fighting but without any real direction.

Results:

19 million casualties for Kany and 132 million for Octola.

Octola's defenses were crumbling before our eyes. The castle was now gutted and the fire was spreading to the towers.

The end was near.

⚔ Fourth attack

The sky was tinged red by the glow of the flames. Kany's troops advanced in silence. It was no longer a battle it was a conclusion.

The plan was simple: a diversion in the north with fires and noise while the main cavalry descended from the south concealed by the smoke.

Octola's resistance collapsed completely. The last soldiers were swept away unable to reform a front line. The castle burned to the ground.

The final battle report came in:

3 million casualties for Kany and 111 million for Octola.

Octola lost its Lord in this attack; the lord of one of 1KS's major strongholds had fallen.

Conclusion

The invasion of Octola marked a new turning point in the campaign of Kingdom 268. After J0RAH it was a second blow to 1KS proving that even the strongest lords are not immune to complacency. The message spread quickly: power does not protect against carelessness. In the taverns of neighboring alliances people discussed the numbers. Some said Octola had forgotten to rebuild due to fatigue while others said he simply believed himself to be untouchable. But for Kany it didn't matter. Every battle is a page and this one had been written in fire and iron. All that remained on the ruins of the castle was a thick silence. The banners of 1KS were burned and lay on the ground.

This campaign against Octola reminded everyone of a simple truth: power attracts envy but only vigilance ensures survival.
