The battles in the Seven Kingdoms were in full swing.

The alliances clashed relentlessly in the PlayOffs of Siege of Winterfell to determine which one would be worthy of being crowned the strongest in Westeros. Many of the bravest warriors longed to face each other on the battlefield, but it was not a privilege for everyone.

Neik, together with his ally Ferrious, had missed their qualification for it with the members of HOH and could only watch the matches as spectators in an attempt to gather as much information as possible about the strongest alliances of the realm and learn from them.

Today, however, it was the turn of the members of K345 to draw their swords and fight on the battlefield but in a different event, where teamwork was crucial to achieve the desired goals and where fate itself played its part with the match pairing.

They would fight in…

Arena of Honor!

The path to the battlefield was filled with thoughts about who they would be facing today. “Last time we were not very lucky, I think it was a miracle that we managed to finish in third place” said Neik alongside his ally Ferrious. “That is true but we fought well, whoever our rivals may be if we give our best and with a good strategy I am sure we will be able to aim for one of the top positions in the match.”

When they finally reached the battlefield, they could see with their own eyes who their rivals would be today…

The battle for the match would see several fearsome warriors lined up in the various houses, contending for the coveted first place of the encounter. Neik and his companions were strong candidates for it, but they were certainly not the favorites. Instead it was...

Tyrell: led by the incredible fighting skills of members such as VegAlan, Syler, and Apollonius16, they were surely strong candidates to claim first place.

Stark: conducting the orchestra for them were warriors such as TRA, BUCHER, and $HER. The group positioned north of the battlefield also aimed to secure a spot on the podium.

“It does not look like a simple match, on the contrary” said Neik, addressing his companions.

“No, but we have been luckier than in our previous encounter, we have the chance to fight until the very end” sounded the charge Ferrious, aware of her own strength and confident in her teammates.

The match was about to begin. The crows cawed above their heads in search of shelter from the wind blowing relentlessly over them, while the sun’s rays striking the battlefield barely managed to warm the air that would soon be set ablaze. The warriors lined up on the battlefield were ready to face each other in order to reach their desired goals.

The beginning of the match saw a slightly different strategy adopted by Neik and his companions. They wanted to capture the first buildings right away and build Trading Posts as quickly as possible, which would immediately grant them a steady score income. After capturing and reinforcing the positions to speed up construction, the members of Lannister secured the second wave of buildings but this time by constructing two offensive structures. The strategy they adopted was to claim the first capture of the Towers and Catapults in order to obtain the bonus points generated by the first possession.

As soon as it was possible for him, Neik immediately rushed to besiege the first Maiden’s Altar, attacking the troops of VegAlan… who were defeated. However, the response from the Tyrell member did not take long to arrive. Returning to the siege with a rally, it was easy for him with his Spears and his Weakness formation to retake control of the altar, which had not been reinforced enough.

Not letting himself be discouraged, the HOH member went back on the attack, this time targeting an altar that was being captured by House Stark. Throwing a wrench in their plans was crucial for their match if they wanted to aim for first place. However, even though his Spears perfectly countered the Cav-Female formation of the rival, the attack was repelled thanks to the greater number of defending troops led by BUCHER.

“Let us try with the Dragon Pits” opted Ferrious for a change of strategy, seeing the timely reinforcements sent by the opponents into the altars. These too would grant them important buffs for the progress of the match as well as points.

Neik immediately launched the siege of one of the three Dragon Pits available on the battlefield, where once again the Stark member BUCHER was on defense with his Cav. This time, however, it was a painful defeat for him in the contest. Outnumbered and perfectly countered by Neik’s Weakness-Spear formation, he lost control of it.

Reinforcements for him did not take long to arrive but so did the sieges of the rivals, which were repelled without much difficulty, until…

A completely unexpected rally arrived from Eventilos, an important member of House Stark, who with his Inf-Bleeding formation managed to drive back Neik’s troops just seconds before the final capture. It was a hard blow for the house.

“Let us try with the other two positions” said Ferrious, referring to the remaining Dragon Pits available.

This time, however, the attempt to capture the position was a success. The weak incoming attacks and the alliances busy fighting for the city gave a hand to the group, who before attempting the siege of the latter wanted at least to secure one of the three spots on the podium, a goal still far away.

To try to close the gap that had formed between them and the houses in the top three positions, Neik and his companions then launched themselves to capture all the altars on the map with reduced troops, a strategy that had worked perfectly in the previous match. At the same time, another attempt at the Dragon Pit previously lost was made by the HOH member, who knew they needed all the buffs possible that it would generate for them if they wanted to try to besiege the city.

“We are doing an excellent job on the altars, if we keep this up second place will be within reach and we might aim even higher” said Neik, who saw his allies working hard to secure the possession of the altars.

The gap with the factions ahead of them was now almost gone, but in the meantime…

After a long clash, it was Tyrell who seized the city.

The faction led mainly by the members of RoD proved, as expected, to be the contender for first place at the end of the 60 minutes of battle. Thanks to its capture they managed to generate a significant score between them and second place, which was now firmly held by Neik and his companions thanks to their efforts on the altars while the other factions were busy trying to block Tyrell’s path.

“We have adopted a risky strategy but at least this way second place is almost assured, now let us go for the fight for first” called Ferrious once again to charge. A potential capture of the city would mean that they would be the ones to take first place, immediately closing the gap with Tyrell. They surely had to try.

It was Neik who was entrusted with the attempt to capture the city, where it was temporarily contested by Eventilos with his Bleeding-Inf formation, a tough opponent for the HOH member.

The attack, however, turned out to be unexpectedly successful. Thanks to the greater number of troops, the Weakness-Spear formation emerged as the winner.

The members of House Lannister, seeing the chance to secure the final capture of the city and claim victory in the match, immediately rushed to support their companion, who now had to face the waves of sieges coming from the various houses. No one had thrown in the towel yet. The match was still alive and well for all the warriors on the field.

When they least expected it, however, the unexpected came. At full strength and with the maximum number of troops available, the walls defended by Neik were besieged by Syler of House Tyrell, who obviously did not want to let the victory of the match slip away.

The strike was devastatingly effective. The fighting strength between the two was not at all on the same level and it was a crushing defeat for Neik.

“I do not think we will be able to secure its possession” he admitted bitterly.

“Let us try to secure second place by returning to besiege the Maidens” opted Ferrious for plan B, agreeing on the rival’s strength.

While the houses were still busy trying one last time to gain possession of the coveted position, for the Lannisters, using plan B proved to be the wisest and most successful choice. Although in doing so they had effectively said goodbye to hopes of taking first place, they managed to consolidate second, which was still a remarkable result after all.

In the final stages of the match, after a very exhausting encounter for them, there was nothing left to do but wait for its end, except for launching a few attacks in search of personal glory, but the final ranking was already decided.

The match ended with Stark in third place on the podium, who tried until the very end to achieve a better ranking, but it was firmly defended in the final stages by the Lannisters. At the top of the leaderboard, as expected, was Tyrell, who, after having rightfully consolidated control of the city twice, managed to secure the victory of the match.

The elimination ranking, however, was led by Neik. His effort to secure a spot on the podium paid off both in terms of the team and personal satisfaction, managing at least to take first place there, which, however, mattered little. He had certainly contributed for the good of the house.

Following him were CNBOSS and Syler at the foot of the podium, who also fought until the very end like true warriors.

“The match went better than expected, even though we did not manage to take first place, finishing ahead of House Stark should make each of us proud, well done” said Neik, addressing his companions who had fought to the utmost of their strength for this achievement.

“Unfortunately, we could not hope to do more against an opponent of this caliber for the city’s capture, but we did our best” concluded Ferrious before the two could return to K345, bidding farewell to their allies.

Another grueling day of battle ended for them with a considerable loot that would allow them to claim the rewards they desired, improving themselves and arriving even more prepared for the next challenges! What does the near future hold for them? We will find out, together!
