Little time had passed since the grueling match fought in Champion City Siege.

Neik, together with his allies from K345, was enjoying the rewards that they had earned thanks to the milestone achieved. But events in the lands of Westeros had not stopped! The top twelve alliances of the kingdom were battling each other to claim the throne of Siege of Winterfell, a competition in which, unfortunately, they, along with the HOH companions, had failed to qualify.

In order to learn from the best for their future events, Neik, together with Ferrious, even though unable to face each other on the battlefield, had the opportunity to witness the fierce clashes between the most ruthless and bloodthirsty rivals. “Today’s match is going to be incredible,” commented the HOH member, addressing his ally, who replied, “True, one of the two is favored, but we know well what their opponents are capable of, especially after having faced them ourselves.”

The two factions that the K345 members were referring to, and that would fight in today’s match to gain access to one of the competition’s semifinals, were…

Deployed on the southern side of the battlefield, led by the fearsome B3nni, UrCandy, and Meridianos, were the members of ROD. The fierce alliance was the one favored in the predictions thanks to their incredible roster built to face and triumph against any opponent in the lands of Westeros.

Today, however, it would be anything but an easy match for them, because between them and the semifinals there was…

Born from the union of WxC and DUM, the formation led by incredible members such as bzzb, BA NA NA, and Relax, the group, despite being the underdog on paper, had a completely different idea than just being a bystander: they wanted to demonstrate the strength of their alliance by standing up to a rival of this caliber, and also because a defeat meant being out of the running no second chances in the Siege of Winterfell playoffs.

The anticipated clash was about to begin. The anxiety among the fighters deployed on the battlefield of suffering a defeat and thus being eliminated from the tournament could have been an important factor to consider. The almost winter-like cold was felt, the wind blew icy, but soon the environment would become scorching with the 60 minutes of battle about to start. Neik, together with Ferrious, was ready to witness the contest and discover whether the incredible strength demonstrated by WxD in the sixth round against HOH would be able to hold up even against a far more rated group like ROD.

The match began with a bang.

The equal division of the two factions to try to fight the rivals across the entire battlefield was the decision made by both leaderships.

Although in the early phases of combat the battle seemed balanced on both sides of the battlefield, both in Armory and in HotSprings, little by little ROD began to gain the upper hand, managing to achieve superiority by defeating WxD’s troops in the two positions.

“A strong start from ROD,” commented Neik. He knew that the members of the alliance led by UrCandy and the other leadership members were favored, but against a strong rival like WxD, he did not expect such a gap in the initial phase.

It didn’t take long before the two main positions were captured by them, managing to repel every last rival. The first part of the challenge between the two alliances saw one of them clearly ahead of their rivals. But then a surprise move was executed by the alliance that was at a disadvantage!

The troops led by bzzb and companions pushed to conquer Greyjoy1 and Greyjoy2 Strongholds. In an attempt not to be crushed in their half of the battlefield and trying to catch their rivals by surprise, WxD immediately attempted an offensive.

“An unexpected move,” said Ferrious, who was expecting a regrouping from them.

Without losing a second, the fighters led by UrCandy and ROD’s leadership launched themselves into the defense of their strongholds. The battle for them was not evenly matched: strong from the numerical superiority with which they defended them, the combat lasted just long enough to make their rivals flee, but the move made by WxD was not wrong!

Thanks to the attempted maneuver, the allied fighters had time to regroup near Stark1 and Stark2 Strongholds, ROD’s objectives after capturing the first two positions. Now the battle for them required much more energy expenditure as WxD would not let the capture of these be so easy!

The combat for them, once the ROD members arrived, lasted much longer than expected: the two alliances were evenly matched and neither could achieve numerical superiority; the members led by BA NA NA were resisting tooth and nail.

The turning point, however, inevitably came with the passing minutes: the roster gap between the two alliances in such a long and exhausting battle began to be felt relentlessly until even the last member of WxD was repelled by them.

The inevitable fall of Stark1 and Stark2 strongholds created a gap filled with fierce rivals between WxD’s base and Winterfell, which favored the easy capture of the first loot of the match by B3nni, giving ROD an already significant score advantage.

“A really strong start to the clash from them, but I expect a reaction from WxD,” said Neik to his ally, who, although agreeing, could hardly see a turnaround as possible.

A reaction that came in the following minutes!

Taking advantage of the rival troops who moved near Winterfell to ensure the safe delivery of the loot by their companions, Relax and his allies arrived at the siege of Stark1 and Stark2, seizing their opportunity in great numbers: regaining possession of the two key positions would reopen their path to Winterfell to fight for the next loot of the match.

B3nni and his allies, however, had a completely different idea!

Once they secured the loot, the ROD fighters, seeing a counterattack from their rivals, returned to the siege of the previously conquered strongholds. With the ever-increasing arrival of troops and as the minutes passed, once again the experience and the greater strength of their roster positively influenced them, allowing them to regain control of the positions.

Inevitablely, the capture of the second loot by them followed.

Engaged in trying to maintain possession of the strongholds, where they were doing their best, WxD was unable to block their path except with weak attempts, which were however repelled by UrCandy and his companions. The capture and delivery of the loot was an easy task for JaritSoraB2.

The overwhelming superiority gained on the battlefield by ROD was visible to everyone; the fight, minute by minute, was moving further and further north until…

For ROD, there was nothing else to do but block the exit routes of WxD’s base.

Despite the attempts made to turn the tide of a match that from the very first phases began to favor their rivals, Relax and his allies were heading toward a finale that most had predicted even before the start of the match. ROD’s immense strength was hardly matchable by any alliance in Westeros in Siege of Winterfell; they were certainly, along with NBe and BDR, the likely winners of the event.

At the end of the 60 minutes, which came relentlessly, the final victory of this quarterfinal was therefore… ROD!

MVP’s

The best fighters of the match were:

bzzb for WxD. He tried until the very end to keep alive the hopes of himself and his companions, even managing to achieve the third podium spot in the match’s eliminations leaderboard, but unfortunately that was not enough for him.

UrCandy for ROD. Probably the most anticipated to lead the alliance’s fate, in this match he demonstrated why, confirming that it was they who would reach the season finale to fight in a fierce match to determine who would be the champion. MVP of the match.

“Let’s say there weren’t many surprises,” said Neik to his ally during the return to K345. The roster gap between the two alliances was well known, and although WxD had tried to resist with all their strength, the match was effectively over in less than 30 minutes.

“True, they still showed themselves to be a great group for being able to resist so long,” commented Ferrious, recognizing WxD’s spirit of sacrifice.

A match without twists, therefore, came to an end, bringing ROD to the semifinals on the right side of the bracket, where they would surely face a more fierce alliance. But another match awaited us first on the east side, which would define the other semifinalists of the tournament. Which one? We will find out soon, together!
