💠Introduction
What’s up, folks? With so many chaos immortals to choose from, it can be hard to know which one fits your play style or a specific team composition. In this piece we will dive into Nine Tails and her ultimate Phantom Pact, break down each component of the skill and its effectiveness, and compare her toolkit to similar immortals so you can see where she shines and where other picks may outperform her.

💠Phantom Pact
Nine Tails’ exclusive skill, Phantom Pact, is a Legendary Ultimate Skill that combines both passive and active effects. Upon entering battle, its passive increases the trigger chance of all allied trigger-type skills by 10%. Its active component removes Bite, Serious Wound, and DoT effects from all allies, and after any allied Immortal casts an Ultimate Skill, it restores HP to the most damaged allied troop with a Recovery Rate of 230% for 6 seconds. When equipped with Nine Tails’ exclusive artifact, Fox Spirit Pendant, the healing effects of Phantom Pact are enhanced by an additional 30%, further improving her team’s sustain and cleansing power. This combination makes Nine Tails one of the most versatile supports in the game, capable of both mitigating debuffs and maintaining strong healing throughout extended battles.

💠Trigger Chance
Each of these tests lasted roughly one minute, with conditions carefully controlled to isolate the effect of Nine Tails’ Phantom Pact passive trigger chance increase. I used Baldwin, whose effectiveness relies heavily on the luck-based chance of his Ultimate Skill splitting a second time, amplifying his Hurricane damage output. To ensure accuracy, I eliminated all potential sources of crowd control, such as stuns or freezes, from both sides, preventing external factors from skewing the results.
In battles without Nine Tails, Baldwin’s Hurricane skill triggered an average of 26 times. However, when Nine Tails was added to the lineup, that number rose to an average of 36 triggers, even though the matches ended slightly faster due to increased damage output. That represents an approximate 38% increase in procs purely from the 10% passive trigger boost granted by Phantom Pact. This shows that Nine Tails doesn’t just provide healing and cleanse utility—her passive also significantly enhances the performance of luck-based Immortals like Baldwin or Loki, whose ultimates depend on low trigger probabilities.

💠Healing
To evaluate Phantom Pact’s healing performance, I focused specifically on the healing output attributed to Nine Tails, since the skill’s restorative effect counts as her healing even when it targets other allies. Across multiple tests, Nine Tails’ total healing ranged between 2.1 million and 2.4 million, which is roughly comparable to what Fu Fei typically produces under similar conditions. In the broader context, however, this level of healing is relatively modest. While Phantom Pact provides valuable utility through cleansing and passive trigger support, its direct healing contribution is not substantial enough to serve as a team’s primary sustain source. For players looking for stronger recovery, Fountain of Life remains a far more effective and cheaper option. In those same test conditions, Fountain of Life delivered roughly three times more healing, averaging around 7.5 million, making it a superior choice for teams focused on durability and long-term survivability.

💠Status Removal
Phantom Pact’s most unique attribute is its ability to remove debuffs such as Serious Wound. This effect is particularly valuable in the current meta, where Wound mechanics are extremely common and can cripple healing-based teams. To measure the impact, I tested Nine Tails with Phantom Pact against Emperor Qin, an Immortal known for his fast energy regeneration and reliable application of Serious Wound. Across multiple tests, I compared battles with and without Nine Tails in the lineup. When Nine Tails was included, the number of discarded heals caused by Serious Wound dropped to an average of 44 times, compared to 51 times without her cleansing effect. That’s only a marginal improvement across four Immortals, suggesting that while Phantom Pact can cleanse Wound and other debuffs effectively in theory, its impact in practice is somewhat limited. The timing of the cleanse doesn’t always align perfectly with when Serious Wound is applied, meaning its reliability depends heavily on battle pacing and the opponent’s Ultimate Skill timing.
💠Summary
In the current meta where battles are longer and debuffs like Wound are common, Nine Tails’ Phantom Pact offers a balanced mix of trigger boost, cleansing, and healing, making her a versatile yet situational support. The passive trigger increase benefits luck-based Immortals such as Baldwin and Loki, improving their consistency in battle. The cleansing effect modestly reduces discarded heals against Emperor Qin, showing some value but limited reliability due to cleanse timing. While her healing provides steady sustain, it remains modest compared to dedicated options like Fountain of Life. Overall, Phantom Pact is best used as a secondary support skill, enhancing team performance through passive boosts and timely utility rather than raw healing power.
