Champion City Siege | S64 | Lordsbane Fort

Champion City Siege is a huge event in this magical world of GoTWiC. In this event, different kingdoms engage in a battle for control of a castle. Each time, it's a different castle, but the goal remains the same: to hold the castle for as long as possible and defend it from the enemy. Teamwork can be crucial, working solo is just not possible, you can't win on your own, and you might lose the castle and the whole game. The battle is intense and lasts only one hour. The team needs to work as one, to be fast and efficient, and to have a lot of troops ready for battle, with no room for fear.

After the battle, the lord who held the castle the longest wins and becomes the Champion Conqueror. The winner can then give titles and special rewards to the lords on their team, but only if they helped in the battle. You can't expect to gain rewards If you haven't taken any action to help achieve them… do you agree?

Everywhere you walked around the camp, you could feel the nervous vibes, and the high tension, everyone was on alert. Soldiers were busy training and ensuring they had all their weapons and gear ready, the archers were stretching their bows, and the blacksmiths hammered out the final touches on the warriors' weapons – strong and shining swords and magnificent shields. The craftsmen had an important role in battle, despite the fact that they wouldn't be taking an active part in the upcoming battle, their role was crucial. A warrior without a sharp weapon is useless in battle and it puts him in danger of his life. Everyone has an important part to play in the battle, no role is too small.

Vlodek and his allies for this CCS, they were paired with SUN TZUU's kingdom and some of his allies. So, Vlodek's team made a deal to join his team and fight together against KAC team. Vlodek conferred with his team about the deal and together they decided to accept the invite and join forces with AfV's team. Deals like that are always made and it's a common practice, working together towards a common goal, so all can get what they desire. They got ready and headed to the camp where the rest of the CCS group were getting ready for the battle. SUN TZUU welcomed them and instructed them where to camp and what to expect from their enemies. It was almost time and the excitement was felt well, they were ready to engage in battle and fight.

At last…. It was time for battle!!

The battle began! Soldiers from every team rushed towards the Fort, Lordsbane Fort, a dark and mysterious location that had its allure, I'm not sure what it was, I don't think even they could explain it. Maybe it was the dark team décor or the cryptic landscape, or maybe it was the high point advantage, which gave the holder a better viewpoint on any Incoming enemy.

SUN TZUU is one of the strongest warriors in this realm, with top-notch gear and only high-level commanders. "Quickly…send troops," SUN TZUU asked, and troops from his team rushed to the fortress. First, he wanted low-level troops, he wanted to see what the enemy would attack with and then he would adjust accordingly. It was a smart decision from him, the battle had just begun, and sending the strongest troops first would risk losing them and not having them as the battle progresses. All the troops arrived safely and were placed in their designated place, ready to engage. If you listened closely you could hear some quiet chatter among the troops. They were both anxious and concerned, their enemies would show no mercy. They had faith in their leadership, they were well trained and they felt as ready as can be, but one can be ready and still worry a little.

SUN TZUU held on to the Fort as expected, he stood firm against many attacks that came his way. but a good warrior isn't a lone wolf, he didn't do it alone. His team worked together they had his back. Team leaders made sure to keep an eye on and dispatch more troops when the situation called for it.

The plans the leaders made were working well so far, with no known issues, and that made them very happy. Time was passing by and SUN TZUU was still in the Fort, after several attacks that hit and left a lot of wounded who were sent to the medics to get treated. Others were sent in their place to the Fort to keep it full, they couldn't risk it being less full or they could lose it. The attacks kept coming and the enemies were determined to keep on coming for the Fort and all that lies within.

Now it was time for a swap, SUN TZUU had enough time in the Fort secure his 1st spot, it was time for him to go back to base and regroup, and mostly take a good rest. He needed it, he fought bravely and never gave up, he wasn't going to let anyone take it or his 1st place. When he sets his mind on something he will stop at nothing to get it done. Who do you think is next to take the Fort? Who is the next brave warrior to stand strong, fending off the enemies? Curios..? Well… keep reading.

" Get ready Ganicius, I'm about to disband", SUN TZUU called out to Ganicuis. He was ready, he knew what he had to do and the rest of the team was also ready. As soon as he takes it, they will reinforce and help prevent any enemy takeover. Back at the enemy base, Musa dra, the team leader heard whispers about a swap, and his eyes lit. Maybe now was a good time to try and take over the fort. He wondered if he could pull this off, can he beat Ganicius to the castle? If not, will he be fast enough to hit Ganicius before the reinforcements arrive? He was nervous, but he was willing to try, win or lose, he was going to give it a go.

He did try. He sent his best troops, and they raced to the Fort. They raised their swords, aimed their bows, and fired. They did some damage to Ganicius and his men, and it was a near blood bath. It was a valiant effort from MUSA dra and his team, but sadly it wasn't enough to defeat Ganicius. Musa returned to his base alongside her most trusted generals and troops, and one look at his face would reveal how disappointed he was, he was hoping to conquer the Fort, but he felt like he failed hisself and his men. Suddenly, a hand rested on his shoulder, it was his 2nd in command, he looked at his and without words, he nodded with a smile. He wanted her to know that he did his best and that it was ok, they had his back no matter what.

Ganicius was ready to disband his troops inside the Fort. He called her men " Ok, guys, I believe I have enough time, you all fought bravely for me and I want to thank you for it. You can go get some rest and heal your wounds. We have done well". He disbanded and went back to base, happy with his achievement, he thought he had enough time to get 2nd place. Do you think he did? Will the next Fort holder gain more time than his? As he was walking back to base, these questions crossed his mind, all he could do now was hope he had done enough and come what may. 

He wasn't afraid to try and it paid off, he was ready to defend it. His goal for today was to get 3nd place to do that he would have to hold it for more than 5 minutes. The timer started and from now on, he would fight fiercely and look at the timer, hoping time would pass by faster and he would achieve the goal he set for himself today. Troops rushed in and he was almost full, lines of troops started racing to the Fort with one goal, defeat him and gain control of the Fortress. He wasn't going to let that happen. His team was ready, one by one they raised their weapon, and their enemies started falling.

bzzb and his team (WxD) also rallied him, both bzzb and wangchuang prepared rallies and sent them as soon as they were ready. They didn't know what the outcome of that attack would be, but they did it anyway. As a soldier, you never know what the outcome of any battle would be, no one does. A win is never guaranteed, but that doesn't mean you won't go and fight. So, they did… bzzb with valiant inf and wangchuan with his courageous Infantry. bzzb led the way and wanghuang was right behind him, They are both brave and fearless, never back down from a fight, even when the odds are stacked against them. Their rallies were a success, they both won their attacks against bzzb, and they were pleased with the outcome. Yes, it is true that they didn't defeat him completely and took over the Fort, but you have to remember one thing- that wasn't their goal! All they wanted was to fight, to gain action time and some elimination points and they did that very well. So, everyone is happy.

 Champion City Siege was almost over, the top spots were occupied and everyone was ready to go back to the base, to rest, celebrate and heal the wounds. Vlodek and his team were pleased, they got enough elimination points to get the rewards and got some nice attacks they could analyze later (they love doing that :P). bzzb was able to get some time in the Fort after all, after MAKIMA was done, he took over and ended up in 4th place. The top spots went as I told you earlier- SUN TZUU 1st, Ganicius 2nd, and MAKIMA 3rd. Judging by the celebrations I heard took place at their bases I think it's safe to assume that they were all pleased with this CCS outcome and that is all that matters…no?

The dust settled down and the Fort was once again peaceful, the fire was put down and all the arrows were collected. The gates have closed until the next battle of CCS, who will be the alliances fighting for it? Who will be the champion of CCS next season That overcame his enemies and triumphed above all?
