ARENA OF HONOR | SEASON 4 ROUND 5 | HOUSE TARGARYEN!

Welcome Lords and Ladies to the fifth round of Arena of Honor, marking our fourth season of this Grand Westerosi tradition. Today we have the return of the Lone Wolf Moshow3, a crowd favorite by now. He believes he can change his team’s fate with his leadership and three seasons of Arena of Honor behind him. The Lone Wolf leads his flock into the arena once more with determination. Let us see if the Old Gods and the New are listening!

Moshow3 being a veteran wanted to go the safe route with his strongholds, “many times have I seen offensive strongholds leading to the downfall of a team, I suggest Trading Posts and a focus on Altars of the Maiden, everything else will fall into place,” Moshow3 was firm with his delivery and it worked, the rest of his team fell in line. Another veteran added his knowledge to the pile, “Glory City should be our main focus but if it looks like the other teams possess stronger warriors then it’s best to concentrate on the Mineshafts in the later periods of the match,” Finnnek wanted the win but he knew the strongest warrior would prevail in the Glory City.

Finnnek could see his team was mostly infantry based and if a strong cavalry warrior entered the arena, they would be in trouble. “When the arena doors open, we should first scout for cavalry warriors, this will define whether or not we take Glory City seriously this round, “Finnnek didn’t want his team to tunnel vision on the Glory City, something he has done in the past. As for the Arena of Honor, it starts with six teams who fight for objectives on the map, each objective provides a first capture amount and then points over time, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins. “Cavalry warriors will be an issue but that means spearmen warriors won’t be, we focus any spearmen teams we find and take their altars, “Moshow3 liked having another veteran by his side, it was a change of pace from being a Lone Wolf. 

Finally, the teams entered the arena and could tell they were facing many spearmen-based teams but House Stark caught their eye, “they have a very strong cavalry warrior but the spearmen teams could help us with him,” Moshow3 wanted to contest the Glory City with only one main threat to House Targaryen. As the strongholds opened for each team, an unusual event occurred with every team building Trading Posts, “seems like no one wants the Watch Towers or they have been bitten with the sting of defeat with that strategy, “Finnnek knew Altars of the Maiden would be fought over ferociously with all six teams building Trading Posts. “Perhaps we can build offensive strongholds in the second row, what do you think?” Finnnek looked towards Moshow3, “I think going with Trading Posts is the best option, I’m sure the other teams are thinking the same thing, let’s not get bogged down with a Watch Tower fight,” Moshow3 was once again going for the safe route but not adapting to the situation could cost House Targaryen. 

House Lannister led by fierce LydiaLi, “this season the Dragonpits provide more points and buffs, I suggest we try to contest as many as possible, the more buffs we have the more chance we have at fighting for the Glory City,” LydiaLi knew she didn’t have the strongest warriors on the battlefield but strategy is the way in Arena of Honor.

A team that could shake things up was House Tyrell led by Wolf North17, “House Greyjoy seem like the weakest on the battlefield, we can take a lot of points from them, I suggest we ignore House Stark, they seem to be the strongest,” Wolf North17 wanted an easy path to victory but his team was sandwiched in between House Targaryen and House Lannister who were also strong teams. 

Finally, we have the favorites for the match led by powerhouse Hejaa, “we got lucky today, I only see weak spearmen warriors on the battlefield, that leaves the Glory City to us, “Hejaa was celebrating prematurely but the situation was in House Starks benefit for now. As the first ten minutes of the match passed by none of the Watch Towers were taken, “seriously everyone built Trading Posts on their second row of strongholds as well, no one took the risk,” Moshow3 hated to see easy points go to waste but they had already gone too far by levelling their Trading Posts to 3 and didn’t want to start over. “House Stark are in first place, they levelled their Trading Posts faster than us, “Finnnek knew House Stark would be their main rivals for the rest of the match but couldn’t find a way to overcome their cavalry advantage. Lords and Ladies, these incredible teams are all challengers, will the cavalry might of House Stark prevail or will the spearmen teams foil their plan! House Tyrell quickly got to work on House Greyjoy’s altars but they didn’t stop there, “House Targaryen are also right next to us, we might as well try to take their altars,” Wolf North17 was being greedy and splitting his forces too thin. In the end House Tyrell lost both altars to House Greyjoy and House Targaryen respectively. On the other hand, House Stark was in a fierce battle with House Baratheon who found themselves in 4^th place, “House Baratheon look weak but they keep sending small marches towards our altars, we need to harass them more so they focus on their own altars and not ours, “Hejaa saw House Baratheon as a nuisance rather than a contending power and wanted to focus on House Targaryen who were closing in on points.

The battle for first place was between House Stark and House Targaryen, “the Dragonpits are crucial now, we need to make sure House Stark doesn’t get any for the Glory City fight,” Moshow3 was now looking forward to the main event, he knew the Glory City would be tough for House Targaryen but with the help of the other teams they could reset the Glory City and bleed out House Stark. On the other hand, the fight for 4^th and 5^th place was between House Tyrell and House Baratheon respectively, “our plan to take House Greyjoy’s altars are working but we need to fight for any altar that House Baratheon claims, there is only 1k difference between us,” Wolf North17 was worried they were falling out of contention but he knew there was plenty of time to make a comeback. 

The main event was the Glory City and House Targaryen were the first to send and claim the important structure, “multiple rallies are coming towards the Glory City, we need to refresh troops in between hits,” Finnnek knew the cavalry rally of House Stark was still being made but perhaps they could tank one hit. House Targaryen were able to tank two hits from House Tyrell and House Lannister but the Glory City would be reset by House Baratheon, “ well we kept it for a while and House Stark is most likely about to take it from House Baratheon, lets hope the other teams keep resetting the Glory City until the Mineshafts open, “ Moshow3 was hoping the Glory City was still in contention when the Mineshafts open so House Stark would have to choose between multiple objectives and dilute their power. 

The Glory City fight still raged on but House Stark only needed one more minute to claim their prize, “ looks like House Stark will fully capture the Glory City, we need to focus on the Mineshafts now, we need more than House Lannister who are in 3^rd place,” Finnnek knew the next 15 minutes would be the most crucial with House Stark looking to cement their 1^st placement, it was now up to House Targaryen to cement 2^nd place with the Mineshafts. A few moments later it was confirmed that House Stark had captured the Glory City but they were not done with their onslaught, “take as many Mineshafts away from House Targaryen, leave them nothing,” Hejaa was annoyed with how long the Glory City took to fully capture and the blame was put on House Targaryen. In the meantime, House Lannister had managed through altar capture and Dragonpits to cement 3^rd place, “we need to hold what we have, we can’t take the Glory City but 3^rd is not bad for us,” LydiaLi was content with her placement, there was no need to burn anymore resources for this round. 

With several minutes remaining House Targaryen decided to give the Glory City one last chance,” these are our final troops remaining, we have guaranteed 2^nd place but let’s try to change our fate, “Moshow3 was rallying his team for one last push, even if they failed, they wouldn’t be losing anything but they could gain the world. Everything came down to this, two rallies were set up and sent by House Targaryen but could couldn’t be filled due to lack of troops. Inevitably House Stark would crush House Targaryen at the Glory City gates, “fair play to you House Targaryen you gave it your all, I hope to fight against you once again,” Hejaa was pleased with the outcome and began to celebrate with his team mates. On the other side of the battlefield House Tyrell managed to sneak out 4^th place from House Baratheon, “the difference was only 1k points for most of the match but in the end the strategy of taking House Greyjoy’s altars worked for us, “Wolf North17 knew with a minute remaining they had protected their fame points in this round. 

As the final minute ticked away House Targaryen were on a high from their fighting spirit,” if they didn’t have such strong cavalry we could have taken the Glory City but we can’t complain with 2^nd place, “Moshow3 was getting ready to say his goodbyes and go off into the sunset, he had still not found his calling but it was out there somewhere. “Thanks everyone for fighting so hard, it felt like a win than 2^nd place and I hope we meet again,” Finnnek had seen plenty of matches in his day but this one he won’t forget anytime soon.

On the other hand, House Stark continued their celebrations, “there were a lot of strong infantry warriors in the arena today, they were unlucky we were around,” Hejaa praised his team for their dedication and for making it so easy for him to lead but he will need more patience for future matches if he wants to reach the pinnacle of Arena of Honor.
