💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? Welcome to my beginner series where I’ll be taking a closer look at specific events that may be difficult for early-stage players. In this article, I’m going to explore Titantula, one of the best early-game events for Enchant Stones, Gems, Speedups, Philosopher’s Stones, and Dragon Chest Keys, and take a look at some skill builds that use skills everyone has access to that will make the event easier to do.

💠Overview

Titantula is an event that occurs twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays where players can attack the spider up to 20 times a day. The boss will appear 6 times a day at 0:00, 4:00, 8:00, 12:00, 16:00, and 20:00 UTC. It will be available to attack 2 hours after it appears and flee 30 minutes after that. You will be able to see Titantula’s HP until it reaches 10% so timing is everything. As Titantula dies, the next one that spawns will be a level higher. It is the easiest and best way to get Enchant Stones to upgrade your immortals’ equipment. The only other way to get Enchant Stones is by defeating gnomes and that can be a slow process. Gnomes often do not provide enough stones in the early-game and it is extremely AP intensive.

💠Team and Skill Build

To tackle Titantula, you will use a team comprised of immortals that can deal high single-target damage like Empress Wu and Alexander, or immortals that can aid and help other units deal more damage like Qin. In this case, we will specifically use immortals and skills most players have access to. You will use a team comprised of Hippolyta, Alexander, Yoshitsune, and Qin. The idea behind this team is that every single unit is capable of dealing damage in the early game and most players will have access to these free-to-play immortals. If you do not have Qin, you can substitute Empress Wu, Merlin, or Cyrus in his place. If you do not have Alexander, you can replace him with Harald. There are plenty of options that you can mix and match.

Hippolyta will be deployed in the first slot with two critical skills: Absolute Defense and Life Link. Titantula will use a skill that wipes your entire team 45 seconds into the match. Absolute Defense and Life Link will protect Hippolyta and redirect that damage back to the Titantula. It requires some luck but it will significantly increase your total damage dealt. Alexander will be equipped with Anger and Combo for maximum single-hit damage. He is even better if you can get your hands on his artifact, Wind Rage, and Berserker. Yoshitsune will take the leftover Physical Damage skills. Qin can take support skills like Sacrifice, Rage Blessing, and War Blessing. Empress Wu can take Rage or Concentration and single-target magic spells like Poison Thorn, Root, or Meteor. They have a higher chance of dealing damage and deal more damage than any of the other beginning skills. As the level of Titantula rises, you will deal less damage, and you will require better skills.

💠Managing Attacks

You get 10 free attacks every day Titantula is available. You can also purchase up to another 10 attempts for 50 Gems each. Every time you attack Titantula, you will get a number of Enchant Stones and Justice Points, up to 1,250. The goal is to score the highest number of Justice Points by the end of the day. The best way to do that is to score within the top 10 of players who dealt the most damage every spawn while using the fewest number of attempts. Those in the top 10 will get extra stones and points. The especially lucky ones who deal the killing blow will get an additional 10,000 points. A good benchmark is 5 attempts per Titantula and 4 Titantulas throughout the day. Ensure you are within the top 10 and save your final attempt of each spider to try to get the last hit.

💠Rewards

The rewards are three-fold. Firstly, you get Enchant Stones every hit depending on how much damage you deal. Secondly, you can claim 2 60-minute Training Speedups and a Common Dragon Chest Key, 2 60-minute Healing Speedups and an Uncommon Dragon Chest Key, 2 60-minute Research Speedups and another uncommon key, 2 60-minute Dragon Upgrading Speedups and a rare key, and 2 60-minute Building Speedups and an Elite Dragon Chest Key at 2,000, 4,000, 6,000, 8,000, and 10,000 points, respectively. Finally, at the end of the day, you can earn Gems, Philosopher’s Stones, and multiple universal speedups depending on how many Justice Points you gained throughout the entire day. Although the additional 10 attempts will cost 500 Gems, the Justice ranking rewards you get exceed the cost.

💠Summary

Titantula is a bi-weekly event where players can attempt to attack 6 spider bosses throughout the day. The crux of builds for the event revolves around units that can deal high damage to a single target. The event can be done for free or up to 500 Gems, but the value of the rewards far exceeds the cost. It is an easy way to get Enchant Stones to upgrade equipment in the early and mid-game.
